The Vrignyan Minister of Foreign Relations, Alexandra Shinser, has stated, regarding the Pelinese complaint to the International Court, that “Vrigny’s process of secularization, moving on from a 200 year old Atheist State, has just begun. It may be early, as the last parliamentary process has shown, but what matters most in this newly established democracy is that any change to Vrigny’s Constitution must be achieved through a vote, coming only from the Vrignyan Parliament or the Vrignyan citizens themselves. The forceful removal of Vrigny’s Purple Article by a foreign nation would clearly infringe in the political freedom of Vrignyan citizens”.
The GPV Government has also taken great offense to the statement, since they are the first governing party ever in Vrignyan history that has proposed the (limited) legalization of religion since the establishment of the First Republic after the incredibly bloody Vrignyan Revolution. Considering the Stratocracy lasted 2014, and had anti-religious propaganda in its school curriculum, it is likely that many Vrignyan adults still have a biased view on this topic. This propaganda has been removed since 2014, and the number of arrests due to “religious reasons” have decreased to under 5 a year. It is unlikely that other political forces in Vrigny will acceed with the secularization process of Vrigny, due to their ideological views, as well as Vrignyan cultural traditionalism. Not even the GPV fully supports this measure, as demonstrated by the previous vote, with some members considering the measure as: “political suicide” and “that the GPV should only care about ecological matters”.

Ta’ana, Mitallduk — The opening day of the Kevantza Mitalldukish (KM) party convention took a dramatic turn as dozens of protesters breached the convention center’s security, leading to chaos, disruption, and violent confrontations. The incident occurred on May 1, shortly after the opening speech by Daman, a leading candidate for the KM party nomination.
According to eyewitness accounts, the commotion began at the convention center’s entrance when a large group of masked protesters forced their way through the main doors. The security personnel attempted to contain the situation, but the sheer number of protesters quickly overwhelmed them. The sudden influx of protesters caused panic among the delegates and attendees, with many fleeing to find safety.

The USI announces a change in strategic focus away from securing the bailtemic territories which are now secure and away from the threat Ryccia which has now died down following the successful conclusion of the Valoran Civil War. The new strategic focus will be on the stabilisation of the Keylic adjacent territories of Crabry and South Cordillia which have been a hotbed of unrest in recent years.

Police in Ryccia have raided the premises of Hanblen, the country’s state-owned oil company with a near-monopoly on petroleum production, as well as the houses of several politicians and bureaucrats in both Mainland Ryccia and the Siculite Islands. Prosecutors have alleged that several Hanblen executives attempted to bribe the state government of the islands to favor oil exploration in the waters surrounding the archipelago and illegally fund campaigns of politicians amenable to their interests. Only Hanblen personnel have been arrested, with the raids on the houses of politicians being described by authorities as “attempts to find and collect evidence”. Sources say Castiana is putting pressure on some Siculitian officials to force them to resign. The Siculite Islands are notorious for being a political bastion for environmentalist parties fiercely opposed to the oil industry.

Negotiations within the GPV party have begun in order to pass the modifications of the Purple Article which would turn Vrigny into a somewhat-normal secular state. This is mainly due to the pressure of possible sanctions by other countries, which would harm Vrigny’s 10 years of progress since the end of the dictatorship.
Meanwhile, the Z-D Kresbo has been seeing a rise in popularity shown by diverse polling agencies. The far-right political party currently has no seats in the Vrignyan Parliament, but if there were to be elections right now, they would already have a total of 20 representatives in the Parliament, mainly affecting the GPV’s and EVDP’s total number of representatives.
The GPV has also condemned a riot started by the Z-D Kresbo in the city of Vimen, in which militants of the party were seen shouting: “we will defend Vrigny’s traditions” while burning the flags of the World Forum, Pelinai and the Fourth Republic, as well as a large makeshift wooden cross. Vrignyan Foreign Minister has proclaimed that: “Vrigny’s Government has nothing to do with this, and it is only an exaggerated response by extremists”.

According to classified Mitallduk Ministry of Defense documents obtained by The Scope, thousands of tonnes of weapons and ammunition were reported missing following a comprehensive inventory review conducted by the Mitallduk Defense Forces (MDF) earlier this year. The review was ordered by Mitallarkava Kullan after a retired submarine was stolen from a naval scrapyard and reportedly sunk by MDF naval forces on January 24.

Tensions continue to rise between the Terminan City states of Higurashi and Okeanos as the Higurashi delegation narrowly fends off another censure attempt. The Governor General of Okeanos has vowed to pursue punitive measures until the Higurashi delegation is punished for their assault against his officials. Meanwhile the Higurashi delegation has started proceedings to strip Okeanos of its lucrative trade deal with the Frost Empire in retaliation.

The Ultranationalist coalition pushed through the reinstatement of ex-Major General Kuri Amano to the DMZ in a major blow to ruling coalition of the Frost empire. The former major general’s reinstatement has sparked fears that the situation along the Frost DPRR DMZ will rapidly deteriorate. The Major General was known to be an aggressively stubborn officer who was later removed in disgrace after their feud with the Peonic MSF during the Reizen Civil war.
In response to the reinstatement, Members of the Dovish alliance presented a motion to demobilize the Imperial frost military to pre-Reizen Civil War. The measure is expected to face fierce resistance from a burgeoning Ultranationalist coalition fresh off their success.

The Akarinan Southern fleet has been deployed to the Karnetvor channel along with 16 nuclear submarines, as to “watch over the situation”. The Akarinan ministry of defense has given the order for all Akarinan naval assets in the region to defend themselves if attacked, and all other Akarinan naval assets will have to aid an allied vessel that is attacked. Note there will not be a blockade.

Today, the Green Party of Vrigny’s main headquarters in Adleimen have appeared vandalized with graffiti and several flags of the Zarnarchy hung up against the windows and walls. The governing party is well aware of a group of citizens trying to torment the party’s member to make it hopefully give up on its efforts to change or remove the Purple Article. With most of the members within this group probably being just part of the Z-D Kresbo, the Government hopes this is just a small group of very vocal people.
This is why the Government will be conducting a voluntary poll to all of its citizens regarding their opinion on the legalization of organized religion. This poll will also take into consideration and ask the citizens what they think about different possible modifications to the Purple Article, as opposed to just considering its removal. This is just a poll, and will not be a binding way of modifying the Vrignyan Constitution, since it is not considered as a referendum.
