Regarding the recent use of a nuclear warhead in Akarina, the Vrignyan Government has issued a complete economic embargo on the Akarinan nation. President Anneliese Bow has stated that, “…Vrigny heavily condemns the use of WMDs by the Akarinan government, and will completely oppose it, and any government, who do not respect humanity and the lives of so many people.”
Despite Vrigny being in pretty much the opposite side of the world, its government will offer countries likely to be affected by the possible nuclear fallout some of Vrigny’s nuclear safety engineers in order to aid officials in the process of dealing with said radiation.
This day also marks the first time a Vrignyan military exercise occurs since 2014; the Air Force has conducted the testing of its old napalm incendiary bombs with several air-support focused jets. Despite the President’s opposition to any Vrignyan military maneuvers, she has cited the increasing military tension in the Gulf of Good Omen, as well as stating that: “Those guilty for this completely inhumane war crime should be responsible”, hoping that other countries in Pacifica will join her in the statement.

Krauanagaz Responds to Akarina’s Actions with Expulsions; Places Sanctions on Akarina, Zhulgan, San Marsico Leadership
BREAKING: After a series of foreign militaries carried out airstrikes, resulting in the deaths of Krauanagazan citizens, the Krauanagazan government issued a statement condemning the actions and announcing decisive measures against Zhulgan, Akarina, and San Marsico. The Krauanagazan government also introduced a resolution in the World Forum to condemn Zuhlgan and San Marsico for their actions in the region. Krauanaet Zharan implored other nations to support the resolution on KRV this morning saying, “The flagrant disregard for human rights and international law displayed by Akarina and other involved parties is reprehensible. We call upon the international community to stand in solidarity with Krauanagaz in condemning these egregious acts by supporting our resolution in the World Forum.”
In response to the new reports of human rights violations in the Gulf of Good Omen and the use of a nuclear weapon by Akarina, Krauanagaz expelled the Akarinan Ambassador and all Akarinan citizens, save for asylum seekers, from its territory. This expulsion was described as a direct response to what Krauanagaz deemed unacceptable actions by Akarina. The United States of Izaakia decried Akarina as well, labeling their actions as “war crimes.” Gianalta’s Foreign Ministry said they were “looking into” seeking world arrest warrants against everyone responsible for the nuclear attack in Akarina.

The second, and third Nakano-class nuclear battleships IAN Heinrich, and IAN Arata have just been commissioned.
Both have participated in the first Akarinan military exercise since 2016.
The First Lady of Izaakia Ephraimana Rombold has said in a statement to the nation that her husband Walter has suffered complications related to his burst appendix and the following surgery. He will therefore remain in hospital under observation for at least 1 week. She said the doctors at the hospital are confident the President will make a full recovery in time, and went on to thank the hospital staff.

Today, four states have joined nine others in the release of their official tally poll on the nuclear weapons referendum. Public readings have temporarily ceased amidst the nuclear catastrophe in Akarina to faciliate contingency preparation efforts, including the distribution of reserve iodine and shelter supplies. They are to continue when next possible.

The PM held a press conference today on the situation in Akarina. The KatZivS (civil protection unit) has been alerted to be on standby. The KatZivS is preparing emergency shelters/bunkers as well as iodine tablets. Tirng announced that “Frastinian-wide action is needed. We will be directly communicating with our neighbors to asses and control the situation.” The are most in danger is south and east of Münnen, directly on the mountain range.
The Prime Minister and the Foreign minister announced that Akarina will be sanctioned immediately and the SECRIL will be raised to W. Efladian citizens are to be extracted. The Foreign minister announced that Eflad will join Gianatlas push towards a World Arrest Warrant saying “this is exactly why we reformed the IACO. Now it is a feasible option to use it how it was intended. This is the time we can prove the critics wrong!”

The Izaakian Health Ministry puts a ban on food imports from Cordillia north of the 20S Parallel, citing safety reasons following the nuclear fallout in Akarina. The Health Ministry said it will take time to assess the true impact from the fallout, at which point it will re-assess where its food import ban applies.

The Vrignyan Ministry of Trade has also set up safety restrictions on food imports from Frastinian nations likely to be affected by the fallout of the nuclear blast in Monarque. This move is only to protect Vrignyan consumers from possibly irradiated products, and the restrictions will be lifted when a study has been conducted to evaluate the effects of the fallout on alimentary products of the area, once the food is deemed safe for consumption once again.

The preliminary disarmament of nuclear warheads initiated by the Training Institutional Command has ceased temporarily, as the Besernian Armed Forces initiate measures to protect sensitive equipment from contamination with radiation, as well as to serve as extra manpower for inspection and repair of safety and communication equipment and in case of evacuation to shelter is required. All active nuclear silos are now under lockdown.

Pelinese White Army CBRN corps experts have weighed in on the potential effects of nuclear fallout in the Frastinia region, stating that weather, terrain, and detonation conditions are likely to restrict the dispersion of significant nuclear fallout mass beyond Akarina. “The mountains lining northern Akarina, in combination with rains from the ongoing tropical savannah wet season in the region, are expected to prevent most non-volatile particulates from moving outside of Akarina,” said one captain. “Additionally, the blast yield is limited in comparison to most strategic-yield weapons currently in service; significant wide-scale contamination from a single detonation is unlikely unless the bomb was specially coated for enhanced radiological effects or deployed in a laydown delivery. Any present civil defense and CBRN defense troops of nearby states should be more than capable of monitoring and handling any contamination that does occur, and I do not presently see significant long-term effects to civilians or economies as being likely with current information.”

BREAKING: While walking into the Executive Office Building in Yayyára, Krauanagaz Secretary of State, Darius Korin, was asked by reporters what he thought about the statement the Pelinese Prime Minister made this morning dismissing the Federal Human Rights Commission’s new classification system and calling Krauanagaz a “failed state.”
Secretary Korin told reporters, “It’s interesting to see a nation ostensibly disinterested with foreign affairs concerned with the international perception of itself. And while every nation is afforded its own perspective, international law serves as a foundation for peace and justice.
