I nominate Kringle for re-election as Chair for an additional three-month term.

As said on previous message the term of @KrisKringle as chair will end in a week.
Today, The 21st january of 2026, I decide to nominate @Hamborn for an election of the chair on a 3 months term.
I support the re-election of Kris as chair.
However, I invite Hamborn to make their pitch as to why they should be chair.
Question : I post a resolution for the chair post ?
I support Erstavik’s nomination for Kris to remain as Chair. I see no reason to elect a different Chair at all, and I expect that most longtime legislators would agree with me on that front.

A resolution to choose KrisKringle as Chair of the Assembly
WHEREAS, the term of the incumbent Chair is approaching its conclusion on February 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly formally elected KrisKringle as Chair on November 22, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly believes that they should be afforded the opportunity to be elected for another three-month term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY:
That @KrisKringle is hereby elected to serve as Chair of the Assembly until May 1, 2026 4:00 PM.
I see your point of view but I think it is not an election if only 1 people present for election for the chair.
It’s not really an election in that sense. Instead, competing resolutions can be put to a vote, with the resolution receiving the most votes in favor prevailing (Legislative Procedure Act § 1(6)).
Why me for the Chair ?
I will help if new don’t understand laws, I will attempt to respect the code of conduct for legislator, I have a good typo in english, I act rapidly for candidature for join the assembly…

@Hamborn Give me an hour or so and I will draft a suitably flowery resolution on your behalf. I will, however, be voting for KrisKringle in this election, as experience as a legislator and familiarity with TSP law are essential qualities for an effective Chair.
That said, I would encourage @KrisKringle to consider appointing you as a Clerk, so that you may gain the experience necessary to assume the Chair someday in the future.

A resolution to choose Hamborn as Chair of the Assembly
WHEREAS, the term of the incumbent Chair is approaching its conclusion on February 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly recognizes that the continued vitality and longevity of the region are best preserved by the advancement of newer players into positions of leadership, including within this branch of government; and
WHEREAS, one such legislator, Hamborn, has presented himself for election to the office of Chair upon an agenda pledging to improve the accessibility and general understanding of the region’s laws, and to ensure the prompt and efficient processing of legislator applications; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly, having duly considered the qualifications, intentions, and commitment of said legislator, finds Hamborn to be the most fit and suitable person to assume the duties and responsibilities of the Chair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY:
That @Hamborn is hereby elected to serve as Chair of the Assembly until May 1, 2026 4:00 PM.
I will abstain from voting on both until we get written confirmation that Kris Kringle would like to seek another term. If there is no written confirmation then I shall deem it necessary to elect a new chair.
@lordnwahs you may want to update the dates in your resolution to reflect that we are now in 2026.
