When asked to comment about Zhulgan’s Diplomatic Protest in regards to the recently launched Operation: Southern Dawn, King Joshua VII merely responded; “The Kingdom of Emerald disregards any protest from a nation that still treats it’s internal affairs like it’s the 1500’s.”

According to the Chief of Naval Operations, Grand Admiral John Ferguson, Zhulgani Naval redeployment had been expected and thus explained why the Emeraldian Army in Krauanagaz and the 4th Fleet still maintained high readiness rates, as the Ministry of Defence rightly predicted that the Operation would be seen poorly by the Barbaric Zhulgani’s.

In response regarding Krauanagazan Protests, the Emeraldian Government simply made a statement online showing members of both the 13th Airborne Division and 8th Marine Regiment handing out warm meals to Mitalldukish families in a village taken during the initial operation to secure vital checkpoints, the statement also included photos of members of the His Majesty’s Corps of Engineers cordinating with both Naval Engineers and local leaders to rebuild vital infrastructure, Members of the 13th Army MP’s playing with Mitalldukish Children, and the last showing a tank belonging to the 25th Armored Division sitting outside a medical camp to ward off raiders that are widespread throughout the region. Captioning it all was the sentence; “You don’t see the Federal Armed Force of Krauanagaz doing this when it cowers under the shadow of the Zhulgani Barbarian.”

In regards to statements made by either the MPG or the TPA-PV Governments, Emeraldian Officials simply stated “Emerald, and thus the Union which organizes it’s foreign affairs, does not recognize either Government as Legitimate and thus advises to ignore any statement made by the MPG.” It went on to further state that Emerald officially recognizes the TPA-PV government as terrorists and will be treated as such.

Not relating to official responses, Prince Edward, Crown Prince of Emerald, made a private reply to MPG Acting President Tuvak; “Emerald does come with Guns, primairly to ensure the food and medicine ends up in the hands of those who need it and not the raiders who steal it, your predecessors failed Mitallduk, Krauanagaz couldn’t care less unless you’re talking reunification, Zhulgan would make you their slaves, and those Terrorists in the TPA-PV are the ones doing the stealing. Operation: Southern Dawn is intended to help rebuild Mitallduk back into a proper nationstate, and that means cutting away everything that made it fall, including your so-called Provisional Government that still has a connection to the pre-collapse government. If Emerald has to take down your organization than so be it, a new Southern Dawn would be made from it.”

Eaglestar Times, on behalf of multiple requests from Krauanagazan Citizens, conducted a poll of Emeraldian Citizens about Operation: Southern Dawn. The poll found that 85% of the Population supports the Operations, 5% Opppose it, and 10% are neutral. When polling other Pact Countries like Spiras, Denver, Ludville, and Cimbria, the result remained largely the same, with the lowest approval rating, 78%, being from Cimbria. When asked why, the common response was that Emerald, and hopefully soon the rest of the Starhawk Pact, is doing what Krauanagaz nor any other foreign governments have failed to do, that being to actually put in the resources and effort to properly rebuild Mitallduk, with many even pointing out to Krauanagazan citizens that the Refugee crisis wouldn’t exist or be fare less of a problem if Krauanagaz actually put in the effort and drive into clearing Mitallduk of Raiders, Terrorists, and Warlords, rather than retreating behind their border with their tails between their legs as they bowed in submission to Zhulgan.

Sallodesia: On a recent campus tour, Kybok President Jana Van Den Berg has issued concerns regarding the continued conflict in the southern Cordillian nations. Especially the Kingdom of Emerald’s involvement and latest messages have become a great worry for the Sallodesian government. So much so that the Sallodesian government is looking to exclude Emeraldian and potentially Starhawk arms manufacturers from the Cross-Mediterranean Ordnance Conglomerate.

“The wording of the Emeraldian government has us worried. While it attacks the Mittaldukish provisional government as operating in the 1500s, we do see similar reasoning in Emerald’s own foreign policy. The Sallodesian government is becoming increasingly wary of Emerald’s foreign policy, which may no longer align it to partake in CMOC,” stated President Van Den Berg at Peoria University.

Stoinia: The Celăreanu government, under the direction of Minister Verdugo, has started with the roll-out of its Cabinete del Pueblo initiative. Primarily rural areas are targeted for the incremental roll-out, but participants vary from metropolitan Stoinia to Mārunga, Pekelau & Corinia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a statement that the initiative is operating within parameters, but they are streamlining further inconsistencies within the network.

Following the recent announcements of the Emeraldian government, the Viridian Ambassador to the World Forum, issued an open call to joint peacekeeping mission under the WF-banner. Moreover, Paúl Murillo voiced growing concerns of the Kingdom of Emerald’s involvement into the region and perceives it as a direct destabilizing actor that hinders diplomatic solutions.

The Viridian Ambassadors hopes to form a so-called Coalition of the Willing to operate under the WF-banner and secure peace within the wider southern Cordilian region.

The improvement of relations with Emerald, despite a brief warm period after the joint exercises, has once more been questioned in Kliegme as the ripples of the Emeraldian Invasion of Mitallduk reach Kliegme.

Official Dispatches from Kliegme, while shying away from directly criticising Emeraldian policy, has echoed Krauanagaz talking points.

In a similar fashion to Kliegme, the Celăreanu government is facing criticism for its cordial relations with the Kingdom of Emerald. Public opinion has drastically switched following the recent actions by Emerald and its dismissive framing of the Mitalldukish people. As of now, protests are forming in front of the embassies of the Starhawk Pact’s members and minor squares, calling for an immediate cessation of Emeraldian military operations into southern Cordilia. Instead, the protestors are calling for an immediate WF peacekeeping operation in the region.

Moreover, Stoinian investors – both private and institutional ones – are withdrawing their investments following Emerald’s continued militant foreign policy. It is as of yet unsure how impactful this withdrawal will be on the financial markets, but a spike in the depreciation of Emerald’s currency is expected in the FOREX market.

Tudor Segărceanu, the Stoinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, has issued a statement in an impromptu press conference following the recent announcements by Sallodesia. He emphasised the need for a WF peacekeeping operation in the area as Emerald’s intervention has not met the expectations of the Celăreanu government. Sharing the same concerns as the Viridian WF ambassador, Minister Segărceanu promised to revise Stoino-Emeraldian relations if the Kingdom of Emerald continues to interfere in southern Cordilia now that a WF peacekeeping mission is being proposed. Lastly, he called upon other Starhawk Pact members to not partake in any escalation of the destabilisation of southern Cordilia, stating that the issued reasonings of Emerald will result in major ramification in international relations.

Regional Tensions Spike After Emerald Doubles Down on Mitallduk Intervention; Okhoa Calls for Restraint, Krauanagaz Lodges Formal Protest

The government of Emerald yesterday doubled down on its controversial military operation Southern Mitallduk, dismissing growing diplomatic protests from Zuhlgan, Krauanagaz, and Okhoa. The move has deepened regional tensions across the Cordilian Peninsula, raising fears that a new geopolitical confrontation may be taking shape under the guise of peacekeeping.

In a fiery statement, King Joshua VII of Emerald brushed off Zuhlgan’s formal diplomatic protest, saying, “The Kingdom of Emerald disregards any protest from a nation that still treats its internal affairs like it’s the 1500s.”

Emerald’s Chief of Naval Operations, Grand Admiral John Ferguson, confirmed that the Zuhlgani naval redeployment had been anticipated, stating that the Emeraldian 4th Fleet and expeditionary forces stationed in Krauanagaz remain on “high readiness” to deter what he called “barbaric posturing” by the Dominion.

Emerald’s Ministry of Defence released an online statement aimed at countering accusations of aggression, sharing a series of photos depicting Emeraldian soldiers distributing food and supplies to Mitalldukish civilians and rebuilding infrastructure in occupied zones. The post was captioned: “You don’t see the Federal Armed Force of Krauanagaz doing this when it cowers under the shadow of the Zhulgani barbarian.”

The Union Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for representing both the Kingdom of Emerald and the Denverian Federation internationally, has responded to growing international concerns regarding Operation: Southern Dawn, with the Ministry stating that the Operation was only planned on the basis that the World Forum and other Foreign Governments had thus far done nothing to rectify the situation in Mitallduk, and further stated that should the World Forum send in it’s own peacekeeping forces, The Starhawk Pact will be more than willing to join said Peacekeeping Forces on the basis of keeping only Military Engineers and Medical Personnel separate to assist International Aid Groups.

In Memo made by the Emeraldian Royal Navy, it was stated that Prince Edward, a Lieutenant in the ERN and Commanding Officer of HEMS For King and Country FFG-24, has had his pay suspended for 3 Months and Permanent Strike on his record for online misconduct. The King also made a statement to the MPG to disregard the statements made by his son, alongside ones made by three officials in the Ministry of Defence, further stating that said officials had been relieved of their positions. He also commented on the possible misspeak made by Sallodesian President Van Den Berg in regards to his comment regarding Zhulgan, with the Sallodesian President possibly mistaking Mitallduk for Zhulgan.

Supremem Commander John Nielson, out of a request made for the Operation’s ROE, posted it to several places online and forwarded it to both the Krauanagazan Government and the MPG, where it was clearly outlined that Combat Forces are to be used only as Security Forces for Engineers and Medical Personnel, alongside International Aid groups already in country. Furthermore, it went on to state that in the event the World Forum sends in Peacekeeping Forces, Combat Forces in Mitallduk will be reduced to one Army Task Force and One Air Task Force and for these forces to be attached to WF Peacekeeping Forces, while Military Engineer units from the both the ERA and ERN, alongside Medical Units, will remain on the ground in a mostly disarmed fashion beyond PDW’s and Pistols for Self-Defence. Notably, it stated that Combat Forces are not to engage with any Local security forces belonging to the MPG, suggesting that the Emeraldian Ministry of Defence is willing to work with the MPG and Local Leaders at large, as the ROE also stated that the SEF is to be friendly with local forces and are to not operate in any hostile manner with local leaders. The most important fact detailed by the ROE was that, in no way, the SEF were to establish any permanent military bases in Mitalldukish Territory and that FoB’s and Occuipied Former Mitalldukish Bases were to be temporary in order support Emeraldian Forces on the ground and in the Air.

Rather notably, Zhulgani concerns were entirely ignored save for increased Air Patrols over Krauanagaz by the ERAF and over International Waters by ERN Carriers. Due to the Starhawk Pact refusing to recognize Zhulgan as a Sovereign Nation, it is unlikely that tensions between the two will cease anytime soon.

Ikaranarean Head Governor Gorovo Alertz confirms that he will be stepping down after the 2026 election cycle. His popularity is the highest in Ikaranara’s post Great War history, spurred on mostly by his military victories in the War in Past, the Rycco-Cordilian war where Ikaranara itself was invaded, and the Losavral Civil War of recent days. In his leadership, he has also created a more integrated and successful Indavra, with Past and Losavra economically reintegrated into the global and regional economies, and he has been noted for managing to manage these military crises while not causing Ikaranara to be seen as an imperialist nation, or causing unnecessary civilian casualties. Because of Alertz’ leadership, his party, the “United Ikaranarean Party,” UIP, has seen record gains in recent years, being one of the very few parties in Ikaranara to be projected to gain a majority in the National Assembly without having to make a coalition. Parties, even those strongly opposed to UIP agenda, have been silent in criticism against him, as even voters of those parties see the Head Governor as mostly favorable.

His successor will most likely be another UIP member, elected from within the party. The UIP is considered to be a center-wing party in Ikaranarean politics, advocating for capitalist ventures and an efficient government while still maintaining welfare systems. The primary opposition to the UIP is the Social Ikaranreans, a Democratic Socialist party, which advocates for more government interventionism particularly in the economy. The largest loss is the right-wing Grand Ikaranara Party, who are projected to a whopping lose 71 seats in the next election cycle, making the largest right-wing party the Bvarai Brotherhood, who are projected to lose only 15. The main factors in the fall of the Ikaranarean right seem to be that the isolationist ideas are no longer popular. In the wake of rising global tensions in Pacifica, as well as the Rycco-Cordillian war, the Ikaranarean people by and large now believe that some measure of foreign intervention and nation-building is necessary in order to survive. Some political analysts believe that the right will move further towards social issues rather than the political and military in order to regain some ground in the 2028 election cycle.

In other news, when asked about the Emeraldian intervention in Mitallduk, the Ikaranarean Minister of Defense expressed that while the “PR may have been bad,” the “goals are likely noble.” When asked if Ikaranara might contribute soldiers for a WF peacekeeping mission, he said “More than likely, a voulenteer corps could be sent” although he said “nothing is final, and we are concerned about closer regions,” most likely referring to the ongoing conflict in Termina.

Viridia: Premier Ferrant has issued harsh criticism regarding the Union Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ response to the international community. In short the Viridian Premier briefly communicated his vision for a WF peacekeeping mission.

An immediate approval by the WF for a Viridian-led WF peacekeeping mission with the goal to sustain a ceasefire and safe-zones in Mitallduk. With an estimation for a peacekeeping force of roughly 35,000 troops, the goal should be to stabilise the region, restore rule of law and stimulate peace talks under a WF mandate with the different factions and governments. Moreover, the Premier wishes to install a no-fly zone over the entirety of Mitallduk, enforced by aerial units operating under WF banner.

A Coalition of the Willing is being organised with volunteer elements from Ikaranara, Sallodesia and Myria. However, when it came to Emerald’s inclusion for a potential peacekeeping operation, the Premier was not impressed.
“While Emerald’s Rules of Engagement are commendable, we fear they don’t truly align with the operational reality of the Emeraldian military given the recent remarks by high-ranking officials, including those of Crown Prince Edward! Furthermore, those officials have gone out of their way to delegitimize certain factions, thus posing a major hurdle to a potential WF peacekeeping mission’s principle of impartiality. Even if they have since been dismissed, the damage has still been done to southern Cordilian factions to escalate the situation further. Thus, an inclusion of Emerald into a potential WF peacekeeping mission would be counterproductive and possibly incompatible with such a mission’s impartiality,” the Premier clarified to the press.

Additionally, Ferrant openly asked for non-interfering nations not in another conflict to host peace talks for the southern Cordilian conflict. While the opposition criticised him for not taking a harsher stance, such as sanctioning Emerald or leading peace talks in Viridia, he remains vigilant about harming relations any further.

Stoinia: The Royal House of Cuza has announced the immediate suspension of Crown Prince Edward’s standing within the royal family. As such, the Emeraldian Crown Prince has de facto become a persona non grata to events, ceremonies and visits organised by the Stoinian Crown. King Andrei III issued a statement, calling the Crown Prince’s recent comments to the situation in southern Cordilia as “unbecoming of a future monarch” and “deeply worrisome”. This practice of active exclusive of an heir apparent was last implemented before the formation of the Kingdom. The duration of Crown Prince Edward’s new status is undetermined.

Moreover, the King affirmed that Stoinia will partake in a potential WF peacekeeping mission. Although deeply embroiled in the Terminan Civil War as a member of the CE, the King stated that there are enough naval elements available to the Kingdom to sail under the WF’s banner.

BREAKING— Newly leaked documents from a former Krautallaz Department of Public Safety official reveal that the federal government had warned the provincial governments of Krautallaz, Zhzoatal, and Luanapríg Lupriyra to immediately halt unlawful removals and forced deportations of refugees to Mitallduk months before the landmark civil suit was filed by refugee rights groups. The documents, dated mid-May, reportedly include internal memoranda and email correspondences showing repeated federal directives to suspend removals amid reports of abuse and refoulement. Despite these warnings, the provinces allegedly continued deportations through September. The revelations are expected to intensify scrutiny on provincial authorities and raise questions over federal oversight failures in the unfolding refugee crisis.

Reconstruction Crossroads: Southern Cordilia’s Uneven Recovery Eight Months Later

Panata, Krauanagaz— Nearly a year since the earthquake, tsunami, and eruption that reshaped Southern Cordilia, the region’s reconstruction remains a study in both resilience and disparity. While cranes and concrete are finally visible along key transport corridors and coastal cities, much of the countryside is still trapped in limbo. As a patchwork of half-rebuilt homes, stalled infrastructure, and deep social fractures that reflect the scale of the disaster’s aftermath.

Federation reports tout “significant progress” as over 90% of major ports in southern Krauanagaz are back online, and key stretches of the Pan-Cordilian Rail have resumed service. In Panata and Alkantara, new seawalls and elevated industrial parks rise beside flattened neighborhoods. Yet, just beyond city limits, reconstruction slows to a crawl.

Local mayors report that federal funds often stall before reaching rural zones. “Paperwork travels faster than aid,” said Mayor Kruz of Talata, whose city still faces daily power outages. “Our people rebuild with what they have, scrap metal and memory.”

Satellite imagery analyzed by independent contractors confirms that inland resettlement zones remain only 48% complete, with nearly 640,000 people still in temporary shelters or provisional encampments.

Yayyára, Krauanagaz— President Thalira Renkara has dismissed four senior security officials in what analysts describe as the most sweeping internal purge of her administration to date. The sudden move announced late Monday afternoon comes amid escalating tensions over the government’s handling of the ongoing migrant crisis.

According to officials within the Executive Office Building (EOB), the dismissals include Undersecretary for Homeland Security Anvar Melit, Federal Police Agency Director Liria Drenn, Deputy Director Saren Okkrai, and Bureau of Customs and Border Patrol Director Hal Mirov. All four were reportedly informed of their removal following a contentious all-day meeting on Tuesday, which was preceded by an internal review that began last week. The review focused on enforcement tactics, coordination failures, and alleged misconduct during recent border operations.
