Members of the Sedunnic opposition party the Moderates and several security experts argue for a Sedunnic permanent military base in Keanu & Hurley after Terra Firma has been defeated. “It is the second time that Sedunn has volunteered to help defend the nation’s sovereignty. Without our help, they would have lost their freedom, and it is only logical that we stay so that we can protect them more efficiently should anyone believe in being third time lucky, while also contributing to the global fight against rogue mercenaries and terrorist forces.”

Chairman Goran Zagorac of East Romordia (the leader of the newly independent country following a coup around a year ago), has announced plans to build a hydroelectric dam on the Montel river, which flows from the Romordian Highlands down to Aberstopia. Zagorac hailed it as a landmark infrastructure project to secure East Romordia’s energy sovereignty and relieve their struggling power grid.
However, the Montel runs through many Aberstopian towns where it supports agriculture and fishing. Many Aberstopian ecologists and local officials have warned that the dam may massively damage local ecosystems and livelihoods in Aberstopia.

Polling came out in Losavra today showing that over 70% of respondents did not believe the current Losavral administration was capable of remaining stable on its own. To certain Losavral minorities- especially the Almans who were disproportionately affected by the civil war and targeted by extremist groups- that number jumped to 85-90%. Many people have called for political reform, arguing for more centralization in Losavra, including military reforms, banning mercenaries and private armies, and giving much more powerful to the Confederation Council in Řavabos. This has been met with harsh counter-movements by many- especially tribal leaders who stand to lose significant amounts of power, but also many conservative and anti-government groups in the nation, who argue that greater centralization of the government will lead to a populist rule of the majority, with minority groups essentially having no political power.

Ikaranarean officials have stated that “We will not force or promote any system on the Losavrals. We are peacekeepers, not their occupiers or conquerors, and we want to make this clear to the international community. If the Losavral government wants to reform itself, we will ensure the transition happens peacefully.”

However, the military burden on Ikaranara has been lessened in recent days, with the Losavral government being able to raise a certain amount of troops and its own Reserve Guard. Many Ikaranarean units are being returned home, and some people believe that Ikaranara might start to pursue giving direct military aid to the Kliegmeans in their ongoing war in Termina.

As expected, the Tepertopian Assembly has passed the Assembly Elections Acceleration Act (:green_circle: 78 // :red_circle: 16 // :white_circle: 6). Before coming into force, it still needs to be signed by Protector Gerhard of Tepertopia.

The Assemblypeople opposing the bill – representing the Digital Democracy Party, The Grays, parts of The Future is Ours!, and four independents – will most likely petition the Protector to refuse his signature and submit the bill to a referendum, as they had announced beforehand. Should the monarch do so, one would need to be held within 100 days.

Two individuals accompanying him, both Zuhlgani nationals, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class I controlled substance, according to police sources.

Local officials say the Autark’s son remains in stable condition under medical supervision. The Zuhlgani Embassy in Krauanagaz has not yet issued a statement.

Federal Court Blocks Krautallaz Migrant Transfers

The Vellienza Federal District Court has issued an emergency temporary restraining order halting the Krautallaz provincial government’s ongoing transfers of detained migrants to the southern provinces of Krauana and Kevpríg.

The ruling, handed down late Tuesday, cites “credible allegations of unlawful detention and violation of federal asylum procedures.”

Effective immediately, all further movements are suspended pending judicial review, and federal inspectors have been authorized to access provincial holding facilities.

The Krauanagaz Department of Justice has not yet commented on the order, while Krautallaz officials say they are, “reviewing the court’s decision.”

Mahazhovia Debates Military Reform Amid Decades of Decline

Ever since the overthrow of the Mahazhovian Democratic Republic in 1982, the country’s military rapidly declined in both size and capability. Once a disciplined and effective force—particularly noted during the Fourth Mahazhovian War against Luzhnychka—the armed forces faced significant downsizing. Following General Günther Freimann’s coup the military was systematically dismantled: units were disbanded, weapons stockpiles reduced, and numerous installations abandoned or repurposed. Military equipment was frequently sold to fund civilian programs, signaling a dramatic shift away from the country’s former military prominence
Throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s, the armed forces lingered in a state of near dormancy, marked by widespread neglect and institutional uncertainty. Funding was sharply curtailed, personnel numbers dwindled, and what remained of the military was plagued by corruption and mismanagement. Efforts to rebuild or maintain readiness were sporadic and fragmented, leaving the force lacking cohesion, morale, and clear direction. Although previous attempts at reform were met with some success, many agreed these measures fell short of reversing the overall decline.
Today, amid growing public concern, the Mahazhovian Bundesversammlung has convened to confront these deep-rooted issues within the armed forces. Lawmakers are preparing to debate a comprehensive reform package aimed at modernizing the military’s aging arsenal, enhancing transparency in defense spending, and rebuilding a professional, democratically accountable institution. Despite significant challenges ahead, there is cautious optimism that these reforms could restore both operational capability and public trust in the military.

BREAKING— Chris Thorne, Krautallaz Director of Public Safety, has been held in contempt of court for failing to comply with a subpoena to appear and testify before a federal grand jury investigating the province’s alleged unlawful transfer of migrants.

According to court filings, Thorne repeatedly ignored summonses issued by the Vellienza Federal District Court, which is overseeing multiple cases related to the Krautallaz migrant relocation programs, a set of controversial operations accused of detaining asylum seekers and transporting them to the southern provinces of Krauana and Kevpríg. Thorne has been ordered to report to Kakala Federal Detention Center in Mitayyal by 12pm on Monday, pending further proceedings.

Legal analysts suggest the contempt ruling could signal escalating federal pressure on provincial officials accused of defying immigration and humanitarian oversight laws, and an earlier court ruling halting deportations from the province. The Krautallaz provincial government has not yet issued a statement in response.

Major “Corky”, widely considered to be second in command in Terra Firma, and commander in charge of the Terra Firma invasion of Keanu and Hurley has offered to negotiate terms of surrender, ending the invasion of Keanu and Hurley.

A Government critic has said they feel that the biggest and most sudden change in Prime Minister, the current Prime Minister, will never be explained. The Prime Minister responded, ‘Government does not have to explain to anyone. Between elections, we deliver on what we promised to do, we might change the Leader in and out but we will not give up power until the date of the next election.’

Reacting to recent proceedings in Krauangaz, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Wheatley, has said, ‘The Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Krauangaz following the detention order for Director Chris Thorne. We stress the importance of transparency, due process, and adherence to international humanitarian norms in all proceedings related to migrant treatment. Qaweritoyu continues to urge all parties in Krauangaz to uphold the rule of law and protect the dignity and rights of all individuals affected by these operations.’

Responding to events in Qaweritoyu, Deputy Prime Minister Fitzgerald has issued the following statement.

'Change in leadership can be unsettling — I understand that. But in Amberholde, leadership transitions happen within a democratic framework and under the same constitutional Head of State we share with Qaweritoyu. The principles of accountability and continuity both matter to us.

The Prime Minister has been clear that our government remains focused on delivering what the people of Amberholde elected us to do — openness, fairness, and innovation. That said, transparency is a value at the heart of the Pirate Party, and we recognise that communication with the public must always improve, not decline.

What I can assure our partners and citizens alike is that our commitment to good governance has not changed with leadership. The ship is still on course — but we can, and will, make sure everyone can see the chart.’

Human Trafficking Operation Foiled in Southern Kevpríg; Dozens of Refugees Rescued from Moving Truck

Kákra, Kevpríg— Federal Police agents in Kevpríg say they have dismantled a major human trafficking operation near the coastal town of Kákra, uncovering a moving truck packed with dozens of refugees who were allegedly being transported to an unregistered vessel bound for Okhoa.

According to an early statement from the Federal Police Agency (FPA), the vehicle was intercepted late Friday evening following a tip from local residents who reported suspicious activity near an abandoned fisheries compound several kilometers outside of Kákra. Inside, officers found 47 refugees, including several minors, showing signs of dehydration and malnutrition after being confined for what authorities say was more than 20 hours.

BREAKING NEWS

Operation: Southern Dawn, the subject of many rumors as of recently, has been revealed to be what has been classified by the Ministry of Defence and his Majesty’s Military Council, as a Peacekeeping and Reconstruction mission into Southern Mitallduk. The reason for the possible delay was the Joint Training Exercise with Kliegme which drew the Starhawk Expeditionary Force away from Krauanagaz. With those exercises now concluded, the SEF has been revealed as the primary force behind the Operation, with Paratroopers of the 5th and 13th Airborne Divisions securing important sites in Southern Mitallduk such as Airfields, Railyards, and Crossroads, while the 8th Marine Regiment secured southern Mitalldukish Ports, with the 6th Battleship Group and the 7th Carrier Battle Group of the ERN 4th Fleet destroying or disabling any remaining Mitalldukish Naval Assets still in Port.

Supreme Commander John Nielson has told Eaglestar Times that the Operation is intended to do what Krauanagaz and other Foreign Governments have failed to do, that being to rebuild Mitallduk. He further stated that Emeraldian Military Forces will remain until a domestic security force can be properly raised while the SEF deals with local terror groups and to dissuade further Zhulgani Annexations. King Joshua VII has announced intentions to raise a local government separate from the MPG, which, as the King put it, is still poisoned by the echoes of the pre-collapse government and that a new government, separate from the failed legacy of the KCW is needed.

Further Info will be provided when it is made available.

Zuhlgan Condemns Emerald’s Intervention in Mitallduk, Deploys Additional Naval Forces to Region

BREAKING— Zuhlgan’s Foreign Affairs Office has issued a formal diplomatic protest against Emerald’s operations in South Cordilia, condemning the intervention in Southern Mitallduk as, “an unauthorized and destabilizing military incursion into sovereign territory.”

According to sources within the Dominion’s Ministry of Defense, Zuhlgan has redeployed elements of its 1st and 2nd Naval Fleets to patrol sectors of the Gulf of Good Omen and the Tadukallai chain, where Emerald’s 6th Battleship Group and 7th Carrier Battle Group are currently operating. Dominion naval officials have described the movement as a, “precautionary measure to ensure regional stability and safeguard Zuhlgan’s maritime interests.”

In addition, air patrols along the Tadukallai Islands and Cordilian Sea have reportedly increased, with Zuhlgani maritime surveillance aircraft conducting near-continuous flights since early morning. Dominion state media framed the decision as a necessary defensive action in response to, “foreign aggression threatening the sovereignty and security of Cordilia.”

A statement released by the Zuhlgani Foreign Ministry read, “Emerald’s unilateral military occupation under the pretext of peacekeeping constitutes a grave violation of Cordilian sovereignty. The Dominion will take all appropriate measures to defend regional stability and uphold the rule of law.”

Regional observers warn the move risks reigniting tensions between Zuhlgan and Emerald, both of whom maintain significant naval capabilities in the Gulf of Good Omen. Krauanagaz and Okhoa have not yet issued formal responses to the Emeraldian or Zuhlgani deployments. Though public sentiment in Krauanagaz, already strained by ongoing violence and the refugee crisis, has turned sharply anti-Emeraldian. Authorities have reported protests erupting outside of the Emeraldian consulate in Mitayyal and Vellienza in North Krauanagaz.

At a press briefing this evening, a spokesperson for the Mitallduk Provisional Government (MPG) declared Emerald’s operation “a hostile invasion of Mitalldukish soil” and demanded Emerald’s “immediate and unconditional withdrawal." A press release from the TPA-PV militant government earlier today condemned the Emeraldian incursion as a “neo-imperial adventure in violation of Mitallduk’s territorial integrity.”

The MPG requested emergency aid from Krauanagaz and appealed to the Mutual Resilience Pact for collective security assistance under clauses related to the defense of transitional governments facing external coercion. Acting President Kehlir Tuvak told reporters in Med Karazh, “Emerald’s so-called peacekeepers come not just with food, but with guns. Mitallduk belongs to its people, not to a faraway empire seeking glory at our expense.”
