King Keanu sets the candidate registration date for the upcoming election on Wednesday the 14th of February. By this date prospective chiefdom candidates must have received 20 signatures from constituency members and pay a $350 admin fee. By this date each party must also produce a parliamentary candidates list up to 60 names long, ranking the order of precedence in which they would be selected following the election. These names will be vetted to ensure they meet the minimum requirements for membership of Parliament before the election takes place.

The USI Treasury releases official statistics for economic growth in 2023. The economy grew by 3.41%, growing GDP to $7.05 trillion. GDP per capita rose to $69,574 a rise of 3.10%. Population increased by 500,000, 60% of which was due to immigration, meaning the government exceeded its immigration reduction targets for the year.
GDP per capita in the 3 nations is now $80,276 in Izaakia, $67,571 in Montacia and $63,109 in Brodlancia.

The Efladian Foreign minister has announced a breakthrough in the negotiations between Mitallduk and Krauanagaz. “I am happy to announce that we have achieved a deal on national sovereignty, there will be a border committee, on the conservation of the reef and on joint naval operations between the two countries to strengthen their bond. There is still some work to do and we will be happy to announce the final draft in the next couple of days.”
The Prime Minister has landed on government island meeting with the Izaakian president, who was on a sailboat journey. The nature of their meeting is currently unknown. Some journalists report that there will be a joint press conference. Speculation ranges from “joint military action” to “announcement of a joint jam and marmalade industry.”

The First “Containment” Act was passed upon inauguration of The National Parliament on the 11th of February. NAACN had criticised that the Act is ambivalent regarding motions of confidence.
This is incorrect. It merely rationalises the HoG dismissal of his Officers, whereas the Parliament can dismiss one Officer of his Cabinet upon which all of government is collectively dismissed. Which is ingeniously flawed, but not for the reasons NAACN gave.
“Systemic caues of the ongoing Liquidity crisis in Nasphilitae” were nicely diagrammed, but highly reductive. I guess it could be useful for pop-sci textbooks.

Jakub expressed its disinterest to sign the TPNW due to its lack of nuclear armaments and disinterest in other nation’s nuclear status. Nevertheless, signing of the TPNW was presented in congress today, but voting on wether to sign the TPNW has not started yet.
