There is a new official script of FiHami: the Finixi script.
FiHami’s parliament has passed the “Cultural Integrity Act 2023”, which makes many changes in order to preserve the traditional island cultures, whether Finixi, Aikirani, or any other affiliation before Antarchi contact.
This highlights the Chief of FiHami as the “cultural guardian” of FiHami, declaring the Finixi script as the official script of the island, Finixi as the official language, and providing a fund to be given to those who are designated to be keeping traditional cultures alive, as designated by the chief. By default, the position of the Minister of Arts and Culture in FiHami will now be filled by the chief permanently.
The legal changing of the script is a formality at this point, for the island had already begun switching over to the old script before the bill was even proposed.

The trials of the former junta members, as well as several former high-ranking officers under their command, have officially begun. Many experts believe they’ll be found guilty without exception, but sources indicate there is debate among the political leadership on whether to conduct public or private executions, or, less popularly, no executions at all. The government has ordered the prosecution to seek the death penalty for all of the accused at all “legal” costs and to not compromise in all circumstances, lest they be fired for “insubordination”. This is rare, as the Ryccian political elite acting so aggressively to so completely influence the conduct of a prosecution team in a trial is unheard of.
