Outline of History: The Empire originated from a fleet of interstellar arkships sent by a future Solar system that arrived in our galaxy little over 7000 years ago through a naturally occurring wormhole. After some decades, communication with the solar system suddenly ended and an unknown event on the Sol-side destroyed the wormhole connection, leaving the colonizers and explorers stranded in the Lampshade Galaxy. Thanks to the leader of the mission, the AI now known as âTree of Lifeâ, the stranded explorers were able to create a stable orbital base of operations around a sun-like star which would later become the capital of the Empire, New Sol.
Outline of Major Species: The Empireâs large population is divided between 50 different species. The majority of these are known under the common term âTerragenâ (or Children of Terra), indicating all species that can ultimately trace back their ancestry to the now lost Blue Marble. Some examples of Terragens include humans, various species of moravecs (sapient robots), many fully-virtual AIs and multiple species of sapient uplifts, such as whales, dolphins, grey parrots, crows, octopuses and even species like bees, ants, trees and coral. All Terragens have mentalities based on and understandable by humans, the oldest species of sapients in the Empire. Together with the Terragens, however, also exist a number of alien species native to the Lampshade Galaxy that have joined the Empire over the millennia. These aliens, known as Xenosophonts in the Empire, can either be similar to humans in their mind types, or be much more different. There are currently 12 species of Xenosophonts living in the Terragen Empire, ranging from relatively regular ocean-dwelling fish-like beings to much more exotic sapients such as singing crystals and beings living in the metallic hydrogen cores of gas giants. Each species has many subspecies created through genetic engineering and a variety of other technologies in correspondance with their living environments, fashion and trends.
For the most part everything looks good, weâd just like some clarification on what âfuture Solar systemâ means, and for you to describe the general characteristics of the individual species. Additionally, if the sapient uplifts are not massively changed besides becoming sapient (ex. a Terragen ant is still recognizable as a normal ant, itâs just sapient now), youâre fine just listing what species were uplifted.
For âfuture solar systemâ I meant that the arkships were sent from the solar system in something like the year 2500 /2700 or something of the sort. So yeah, that. I avoided saying anything more about the state of Sol and about why the wormhole collapsed as to not infringe the rule that nobody can know what happened there or where it is. I used the future Sol setting to also make it so that many of the uplifts, AIs and even moravecs would already be sapient passengers on the Arkships.
As for the species, hereâs a complete list:

Around nine thousand years ago a wormhole opened up 6.2 light-years away from the Kasa system (Akari), the other side was 22.9 light-years away from the galaxyâs central blackhole.
The Imperium colonized Akari and the rest of the Kasa system due to itâs suitability for human life.
About two hundred years ago the wormhole collapsed after a civil war, causing the Yukian Imperium to lose all contact with the rest of the empire.
Outline of Major Species:
Humans: Do I even need to explain?
Dahi: The Dahi are an intelligent species that originates from the planet Akari, they appear very bird-like even though they are completely unrelated. Dahi are incredibly resistant to damage and are even able to regrow entire limbs.
A question for the moderators: Iâm not sure if this matter has already been settled and I just donât remember or havenât understood it well, but I remeber that some time ago there were talks about separate population caps for embodied and virtual beings.
Essentially, I wanted to know if virtual beings are counted within the 100 trillion cap, or if they have a separate one. I would have assumed the latter, but then again if it were for me weâd have populations in the quadrillions, so I thought Iâd be best to ask here before assuming anything, ahah.
Iâm not trying to be annoying, but while youâre on the map due to your request to stay from over a month ago, you still havenât resubmitted your updated plot request to be approved by the moderation team.
@isurvivedurm0m we are still awaiting the history portion of your plot request

Weâre still debating. My schedule is a bit busy (marching season + start of school) so thatâs been holding things up a bit. Iâm not going to say anything right now because we havenât come up with anything 100% conclusive yet.
