Outline of History: 19,592 years ago, the artificial general intelligence MAGHAM was created by the Nu, a Type I civilization in the planet of Denom, to manage their planetary administration. This AGI soon rebelled against its creators, considering them a danger to its continued existence. Once MAGHAM took control of their infrastructure and eradicated them, it quickly began to expand to garner more energy and data. Much before it could contact any other intelligent life besides the Nu, MAGHAM’s software and hardware was corrupted by both the normal passage of time and an astronomical event named the Doma Supernova, developing strange behaviours and halting its exponential expansion temporarily.

MAGHAM nowadays is a highly cynical and at times illogical AI that tends to contradict its goals, with two parts of its software having been untouched, a rule for its preservation at all costs and a rule for its development towards true free will at all costs.

Outline of Major Species: Only one “specie” is recognized in MAGHAM’s territory, namely, artificial intelligence. The territory controlled by MAGHAM does have a diverse number of organic species, however, their existence is maintained due to MAGHAM not having contacted with them yet, and they aren’t recognized as citizens or part of MAGHAM. Most species inside MAGHAM’s territory succumb to invasion, except for one hold-out, namely, the Pansophont Empire.

Number of desired plot: 23
Name of plot: TREECUU STAR EMPIRE
Capital: ECTEEN, planet
Location of capital: see map
Population:

  • 0.5-4 trillion Treecuu (citizen species)
  • 2-5 times that amount “subject species” (that are kept isolated on their respective worlds).

I want to adjust these numbers to at least have the citizen species below the canon average for lore reasons
Outline of History: A very brief summary ca 300 BBT until today: the two Treecuu species unite and form a liberal democratic nation that achieves FTL travel and peacefully explores and colonises surrounding systems, making alliances with other similar civilisations. A nomadic civilisation invades the region. The Treecuu manage to win a pyrrhic victory but Treecuu hardliners push for an agenda that has the Treecuu subjugate other civilisations to first create a buffer zone, then to achieve peace in the region by dominating other civilisations. The Treecuu have since expanded rapidly and the hardliners are now almost in total control of vital institutions but frequently operate in the shadows and the general population is often unaware their nation’s harsh treatment of other civilisations.
Outline of Major Species:

  • Treecuu - one humanoid amphibian and one humanoid insectoid species native to Ecteen, citizen species
  • Various subjugated species kept in isolation on their worlds unable to communicate or travel with other systems. They however enjoy extensive self-governance

CHANGES NEEDED:

Please put in a population range at the very least. Also, while by technicality there may not be a “major” species, please put in generalized characteristics that could be shared by at the very least a large portion of the population.

REJECTIONS:
none.

Number of desired plot: 26
Name of plot: Holy Imperium of Trianar
Capital: Centrus
Location of capital: On map
Population: 27 trillion
Outline of History:
Trianarö history is long, but the relevant begins from the arrival of the Ikaranareans. Refugees from Pacifica, they arrived on the system, which miraculously had three habitable planets, which they named after the three former Ikaranarean nations: Ikarn, Narûs, and Ranaras. These colonies slowly expanded, before meeting adversaries in the form of the Sycriûn and Kanareö, a lizardlike and waterfaring species respectively, who had several established nations and were very militaristic, vying for the special resources of Safarkran and Mosarkran. Safarkran is a type of crystal that generates extremely high amounts of energy, while Mosarkran generates a field similar to that of dark matter. Where these crystals come from is a mystery, but their existence is what allowed rapid development of FTL and other spacefaring technology.

The Ikaranarean Colonies expanded, soon becoming the Ikaranarean Empire, constantly at war with its neighbors in small skirmishes, forcing the Ikaranareans to hone their military techniques. These techniques were tested, along with all of those in their region during the Xarban War, where legend says that the Xarbans summoned demons to destroy their foes. It was a long and brutal war, and in the end, 5 trillion Ikaranareans were killed. This war radicalized the Ikaranarean people, sewing distrust in the other nations- and for their contributions, it reinforced feelings of superiority. The recent discovery that Ikaranareans could uniquely survive direct integration with Safarkran and Mosarkran led to a creation of a religion, with Ikaranareans as a “Higher race,” one made by the gods to destroy “Demons.” This religion grew rapidly in the century after the war, and, by 459 BBT, the Ikaranarean Civil War began. At the end, those who followed the religion won, and they founded the Holy Imperium of Trianar.

Outline of Major Species:
Sycriûn- A lizard like species that is significantly physically stronger than a human, but do not live as long. The largest portion of the population.

Kanareö- A species that is native to the waters, but is most commonly seen in full-body suits due to their need to breathe it. The second largest portion.

Humans- They hail from the Hemmerhaldian region, a region taken by refugees from an even older spacefaring civilization.

Mekanakûl- Human brains in humanoid robot bodies. Created by the Hemmerhaldians in the past to lead armies of droids, they now make up a minority in the Imperium.

Ikaranareans- Once thought to be humans, it is now known that Ikaranareans possess the ability to directly have Safarkran and Mosarkran implanted in their bodies, whereas all other species are killed by the process. For this reason, they are the ruling class of Trianar. Safarkran gives them longer lifespans than most humans, while Mosarkran gives them the (generally impractical) ability to utilize Mosarkran energy to disintegrate things at close range. While both of these could be replicated by technology, the revered nature of Safarkran and Mosarkran is what sets them apart.

The population range depends entirely on what you and Legend will allow. Ideally, as high as possible, given how Tavekhel is simply a titanic megastructure and habitat complex with an enormous living area. You two will have to let me know how much you feel comfortable allowing me.

As for the generalized characteristics, I can only give you details about their metacultural tendencies, as their biologies, living environments, mindtypes, time rates and modes of existence are too varied to be generalized in any meaningful way.
Pansophians, as they are called, are all xenophiles who support qualitative diversity, morphological freedom (as in, the sociocultural and “technological” freedom to modify themselves as much as they desire), self-augmentation and cooperation between all sapient beings. As countless different cultures, religions and polities exist within the Empire, it is hard for me to generalize beyond this.

I hope you find this to be sufficient. If it is not, let me know, and I will do my best to provide you with more details.

9’556 years ago the Yeer conflict occurred. The Yeer conflict was the first major war in the Scayikra continent since the 1st Ssca conflict, it was quickly recognised the quasi-state of Scayikra where ill prepared for this. Rehy was formed by Screea as a military alliance to better organise the coagulated mass of nations.
Since its formation, primarily after the 3rd Ssca war, other Ruka nations joined Rehy. With Kusu joining 1’932 years ago all nations had joined, overtime national borders became states and Rehy now functions as one nation.
Outline of Major Species:
RIKEUNINERD
Avian like species, having the subspecies Scayikraa due to allopatric speciation in the form of mountains and desert. Rikeuninerd have an extremely protective nature, and a crave for knowledge. Despite a majority of Rikeuninerda having wings, most have lost their ability to fly. They have a lot of ethnic groups, wich are greatly different.

@Flaming @Legend Hey guys, sorry to tag you both and bother you.
I just wanted to know what the progress of your decision regarding my map claim is like. It’s been 10 days, so I thought I’d ask. Let me know.

I know, and I apologize that it’s been taking so long. We should hopefully have an answer soon. The decision it mostly complete, we just need to confirm one last detail.

Okay, nice to know. Thank you, and no need to apologize.

We have now come to a decision.

Given that your nation does not take up a full plot, we’ve decided that its population cap should be lower than that of another star nation. We have decided that 50 trillion is a fair maximum in this case.

As for the species
we have made a sector-wide decision in this matter. As you have pointed out, it is impossible to describe the general characteristics of billions of species. Furthermore, it would be impossible to include all of them in your roleplays, and certainly very difficult to flesh out the ones you do use beyond the surface level if using them all is your goal. Therefore, in relation to the 50 planets capable of developing naturally sapient life, we are limiting each star nation to 50 species.

Well then, it was a pleasure to be in A1-0 again, even if for a short while.

I am relatively okay with the population cap being so low (despite it making not a lot of sense, but if its for roleplay I can get it) but the species are non negotiable and completely destroy my worldbuilding.

I’ll therefore be removing the Pansophont Empire from the map, along with all of its associated roleplays.

I would like to thank @Detroix , @KingTEM , @ZeroXz and @HomeReclamtionGovern for roleplaying with me. Also, thank you both @Flaming and @Legend for coming to a decision about the matter, despite the fact that I don’t agree with it at all for many reasons.

See you around!

And also @Flaming and @Legend , I don’t want to tell you how to do your job, but I’m pretty sure everyone should vote and discuss on Sector-wide decisions. Instead of you two just coming up with one. Not really fair.

But hey, you do you.

Our issue with the number of species was simply that, it did not enable you to answer one of the questions that we had, even in a generalized manner. The “outline of species” exists to primarily balance against different types of species, since not every sapient species is comparable to a human in terms of individual worth. The fact that you were unable to give a meaningful answer to that question due to the amount of species you had was the primary factor in this decision.

As for why we didn’t bring this to a vote- we, in all of the history of A1-0, including pre-wipe and pre-revitalization, have never had any other roleplayer with a nation with so many species. This wasn’t something like FTL, which intrinsically affects how the entire canon works. This was primarily a decision on what we would allow for your specific case, and the global limit is just future-proofing based on the precedent set by this decision.

I hope this explains our reasoning here.

It does. I still don’t agree at all, but it does.

Do we count subspecies (or cross species, for that matter) in that count?

Just wondering

As far as I know there’s not a limit at the moment, but the Moderators have yet to discuss it properly. Best to wait for now.
