Dawn of a New Administration: Introducing the HumanSanity Cabinet

by Altanvia (@CayonNS)

Following HumanSanity’s victory in the July 2026 Regional Election, a new cabinet for the successful implementation of the new administration’s agendas was announced. A total of five members of the coalition were nominated to head the new cabinet, with two of them being retained from the previous Utopia Administration, and the other three nominations being trusted members of other former cabinets.

Sporaltryus (ProfessorHenn), a prominent member of our coalition who has served in both the head of state and head of government offices before, was nominated to be the new Minister of Culture. Also having organized many successful regional events before, including the South Pacific Hockey League (SPHL), they are perhaps the most suitable person for the position at the moment. In their agenda, ProfessorHenn announced the new administration’s plans for regional culture for the next three months. The agenda included finishing the ongoing third edition of the SPHL, improvements for The South Seas Gazette, hosting more games for the region, and a Question of the Day program for our regional message board. Henn additionally announced that they will appoint Aidenfieeld (DivineOwl) as the Deputy Minister, to oversee the regional newspaper, and also mentioned their intent to introduce baseball in addition to the existing hockey league (SPHL).

For the new head of our Ministry of Integration, a notable member of our coalition, and also former Prime Minister, Heliseum, was nominated with the responsibilities of telegram recruiting, maintaining on-boarding materials for new members and implementing a Welcome Team initiative for our new members of the region. Heliseum provided a three-step plan for integrating new members into our community— Into TSP, Connecting to the Broader Community, and Deeper Involvement. They explained that for the first step, they will introduce a new hub of recruitment telegram templates, begin reporting and maintaining a leaderboard of recruiters who have sent out the most telegrams, and encourage competition on the aforementioned leaderboard. For the second step, which focuses on connecting the new members to our community, Heliseum promised to build a system operated by an integration team to guide new members step-by-step with necessary information and encouragement. The final step, designed for those who have successfully been connected to the community, aims to deepen their involvement in our coalition. Such involvements include enlisting in the military, debating in the Assembly, and writing for our regional newspaper. To achieve this goal, Heliseum explained to the assembly that the ministry will continue to develop the Getting Involved Wizard, collaborate with the other ministries, build a cards initiative for rewards and retention programs, and ensure that the pages displaying official government information are up-to-date. Heliseum concluded their agenda with their intent to appoint Purple Hyacinth (flowerpetal) as a deputy minister.

Previous Prime Minister and current Admiral of the South Pacific Special Forces, The Age of Utopia (Utopia), received the nomination for the new Minister of Defense. In their agenda, they mentioned how our regional military is always in need of new Cadets and Ensigns, and explained that they intend to build a cultural base to improve curiosity and interest, and therefore draw in new applicants. To achieve this goal, Utopia announced that in the new administration they will update the outdated dispatches, ensure the announcement of SPSF events are visible for all of the community instead of just a handful, and also create promotional items such as posters for the military. Additionally, Utopia mentioned that they intend to recognize the top updaters, record SPSFers and their ribbons, hold small cultural events for the SPSF, improving the Tidal Force in many ways including introducing new ribbons, set up wargames and practice operations, and finally improve the existing training materials to further enhance our coalition’s official military forces. Zane Farbe Eslanudial (Olivrser) was selected to be appointed as Tidal Force Coordinator, to direct and organize operations and manage personnel rosters.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Grace Wellesley Thayer (Welly), who has served as the MoFA multiple times, was retained once again to manage and lead the ministry. Bringing-up the current challenges for the minister, such as how it is hard to keep up with processing applications or interviewing applicants, Welly announced that they will appoint Peoples Guerilla Armed Coalition (Shots/Jay) as the deputy minister to assist with such duties. Additionally, they announced the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the chief advisory body on foreign affairs issues— themself, Differences-in-Differences, HumanSanity, The Age of Utopia, Heliseum, Sporaltryus, Esfalsa, Concrete Slab, and Peoples Guerilla Armed Coalition. Regarding the General Assembly Reset, Welly acknowledged how it has created new opportunities to draft and enact resolutions, and how the GA Secretariat election crystallized the reality that GA activities are intertwined with foreign policy, and explained that they will coordinate closely with the Office of World Assembly Legislation (OWL). Additional collaboration between MoFA and OWL is also underway for the drafting and passing of resolutions to commend or condemn worthy members of our coalition. Welly also noted the recent dissolution of the Partnership for Sovereignty, a multilateral Security Council voting bloc and mentioned that they intend to create a new voting bloc to replace it. Finally, Welly announced that the government will pursue the building of new diplomatic relationships, and that the government will consider an official state visit with a foreign partner, and cultural events both large and small with many of our foreign friends.

The incumbent Director of the Office of World Assembly Legislation (OWL), Eternal Raven, was retained for another term as a member of the cabinet, tasked with overseeing the World Assembly initiatives of the South Pacific. Starting-off the agenda, they mentioned that they will continue updating guides for aspiring WA resolution authors, adding that the OWL team is currently in the drafting and reviewing stages of multiple WA proposals by our members. Regarding communication, Raven pledged to introduce bi-weekly updates to keep all our citizens informed about the newest events within the OWL department. Raven explained how they plan to organize the department around clear areas of responsibility instead of using official ranks or a progression path, and also hosting training sessions, aiming to let new members to the team get involved easier. Lastly, plans for collaboration between OWL and the Ministry of Integration to increase interest in the World Assembly and contribute to regional growth were introduced, aiming to increase OWL visibility and strengthen the department.

The nominations for the new cabinet were soon brought to a vote in the Assembly. All of them were confirmed, and results were certified by the Chair of the Assembly on the 8th of August, 2026. Today, over half a month since the cabinet was fully formed, the administration led by Prime Minister HumanSanity is working hard, aiming to achieve the goals presented in their agendas and thus to improve our coalition.
