Thank you Prime Minister-elect for the initial burst of trust in me and in my agenda. I hope to have the trust of the Assembly as well.
In short, we need to get better, more frequent, and more efficient with how we do things. This means keeping up with big and small activities, especially small, with engaging the region on a variety of mediums, and with doing fun things because we’re here to have fun.
The South Pacific Hockey League will not be cut short. We will be finishing the 3rd edition of the fight for the Fudge Cup, and I’m really looking forward to the unity that the sport will bring us. Other regions are also sending their players in to Government Island to compete, we will not be leaving them hanging once the cup is hoisted. Expect additional inter-regional events with our treaty allies and partners. I especially want to introduce baseball to the party we’re hosting here, and will tinker with that following the finale of the SPHL.
Our news apparatus will be tweaked and adjusted to provide a higher quality service for the Coalition, both at home and overseas. I will appoint Aidenfieeld as Deputy Minister to oversee this effort, and will be working with the existing staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent delivery of the Gazette, with the raised floor of quality that we will be expected to provide.
Puzzles, Dot IO games, crosswords, and more will be much more commonplace. We have voice channels, we have an RMB, we can and must host more minor activities to engage everyone and make the Coalition a more fun place to exist and more worthwhile for NSers to have faith that we can actually be present for them.
With the RMB as a perennial challenge for the government to engage and interact with, one aspect we will bring to prominence is a Question of the Day program for the message board, and a light reorganization (coordinated with the Integration ministry) of the WFE to accommodate. My intent is that Concrete Slab, as a longtime member with their finger on the RMB’s pulse, can take charge of this program and make it work well. We will be maintaining a steady streams of polls to engage the RMB as well. That is going nowhere.
With new players joining the game and the region, we need to onboard them much more efficiently. I aim to prioritize that personally, and maintain the Culture staff to otherwise take charge of these programs and events and do good things with them. I am always seeking active feedback and engagement, and if you have additional events you would like to see, please reach out and let’s see what we can make happen.
Yours Truly,
ProfessorHenn
