The Run of the Decade (Delegate 2025)

Respectfully, I have created an alt account making fun of the same troll that Polish Sheep mocks, and from what I’ve seen on the RMB, New Halo’s always been open about the account being his and I don’t see how that should affect his campaign. I would be irritated if I was running a campaign and someone used a alt account thats clearly a joke against me as a reason for why I shouldn’t be delegate.

So why was I raided twice under the name quorum raid while the relevant proposal was at vote?

(Please do not see my questions as attacks. I have poured my heart and soul into the Delegacy these last two years, and I want to make sure I leave it in the most capable hands possible. You are undoubtedly qualified according to the law.)

Echoing what others have said elsewhere, there isn’t a gap between the forums and in-game unless we say there is. I have been guilty of saying this in the past, but the only difference between the forums and the in-game region is that we actually have the capacity to run a government on the forums. It would be immensely difficult, if not impossible, to run the government on the RMB because it just moves too quick and there is only one thread by which to do things.

What sort of rewards would you add to SWAN? If they are trading cards, how will you work with the Cabinet (which controls the region’s supply of cards) to modify such a program?

It is important to walk a fine line between advising the Prime Minister on matters of importance and directly collaborating with them on projects. The best results undoubtedly occur when the Prime Minister and Delegate are on the same page, but the division of powers and deference to the Prime Minister must be maintained.

That being said, the advisory component of the Delegate’s charter mandate was included so that the Delegate could act as an ā€œelder statesmanā€ of sorts to the Prime Minister. The Delegate must be a trusted nation, and trust takes time and experience to build. Do you think you have the trust of the region?

I’m glad to hear that you intend to continue active communication in the region. However, as others have said, the ā€œFortnightly Telegramsā€ only worked because they were delivered with my personality clear throughout. You said that the communications would have their own ā€œtwists,ā€ but what does that look like? What changes will you make to the style/frequency/etc of your communication with the region to make it your own, while also ensuring it remains frequent and you do not get burned out?

I noticed that many of your alt nations are in other regions, some of which, are in notable regions. Are you active in any of those regions? If so, to what extent are you involved in those regions? It is my firm opinion that the Delegate, above all else, should have no foreign entanglements in other regions.

I am glad you recognized that this is not the role of the Delegate. However, I am troubled that 1) you didn’t understand that before including it in your campaign, and 2) simply hid/deleted that campaign platform piece rather than allowed it to stand and accepted the concession that you were wrong on that part.

I think its good for you to advocate for the Delegate to assist and collaborate with OWL, however, I do not think it is a good idea for you to take it on-site. Would the better path be to incentivize integration onto our discord and forums were we designed the conversations to take place?

Just a couple of extra questions:

  • Do you believe you are mature enough to be Delegate?

  • Can you confirm you will only use the powers of the Delegacy when directed to do so? Or when you are clearly acting within your charter-mandated authority?

  • How do you plan on being an ex-officio member of the RMB Moderation Team if you are one of the more historical violators (or going right up to the line) of RMB rules?

  • Will you pinky promise not to persecute Cake lovers (and also continue Anjo and my policies of persecuting pie lovers) should you secure election? Remember, a pinky promise is unbreakable! :stuck_out_tongue:

I may have more questions based on your answers.

Yes, please.

Quorum raiding is called that because it’s goal is to prevent proposals from reaching quorum. I think it could be possible to ā€œquorum raidā€ a proposal at vote if certain specific circumstances are met though.

Yes I was thinking of cards. I will politely ask the Minister of Trading Cards/ the PM for permission to use a handful for Swan.

I agree.

I believe that over the past few months I have gained the trust and respect of many on and off site. I’m know I’m not perfect and the jobs not done, but I’ll tell you this, I’m trying.

I plan to continue your two week schedule. Style wise I just plan to add my own sense of humor (and maybe even cake). I actually enjoy reading over the forums so I doubt burnout will be a problem.

To be honest I’m only really active on New Halo III. Which is located in the region Christians. I’m not involved nor interested in their government, just there to chat.

I believe that if you have a problem you should fix it. Thats exactly what I did. I saw people’s comments and figured I couldn’t even to do it. So I no longer saw the value of it in my campaign.

Yeah I could do that but I also know not everyone can get discord and who knows the last time we discussed a proposal on the forums. I see no problem with having a onsite place for discussion.

If you asked me this 8-9 months ago I would have given you a flat out no. But since then I’ve learned the morals of TSP and have respected them. Not because I had to but because I wanted to. So today I can confidently say yes!

For the betterment of TSP I do confirm this.

When was the last you or the mod team have been on me for rule violations? You’ll get your answer from that.

Idk Ebonhand, I’ve seen very little ā€œpersecutionā€ during your time as delegate. I’ll have to get back to you on that pinky promisešŸ˜‰.

Thank you for your questions Ebby, and have a great day.

Wtf is new chicken and why do you even list it here at all

New Chicken was a region that has since ceased to exist. New Halo is listening it because he was delegate there at one point, and to run for Delegate or Prime Minister you are required to list all potential conflicts of interest.

I would strongly, strongly recommend leaving, because this is not a region sending their best. Example 1, Example 2, Example 3.

@UncleJoe I understand you aren’t active in the regions government but it’s not a good look for a potential delegate of a community with many lgbt members to have alts in a anti lgbt region.

I did not know about that. If I did I wouldn’t have moved there.

Moving now.

I will say I didn’t do my best in the debate.

The most important question of the entire election:

Will you perform your most sacred duty to reset this thread to ā€œ0ā€ frequently and without fail through the duration of your potential term?

I’ve stopped this spammers in my own thread before and I’ll do it in yours.

OK, so, no, we cannot. After doing some study, because Maths genuinely is not my strong area, I genuinely do have to work at it, if the Delegate has 556 endorsements, the Delegate has 556 votes in the direction they wish to vote in. Whilst they have the highest number of endorsements, if enough people freely ignore OWL’s recommendation and combined, their endorsements are higher than the Delegate’s, their votes opposite the OWL recommendation will actually count for more than the Delegate’s vote single-handedly so it is still incorrect to say the Delegate represents the region’s WA vote, however, it would be correct to say the Delegate has the most influence over voting on WA votes.

But see no matter how many people vote differently than the delegate it will still appear as TSP is voting the same as the delegate.

No, no, that lists individual nations, not individual regions.

Those individual nations are delegates who represent individual regions.

That’s not what it says.
