Canāt wait.
sorry.
Yeah, I think that ship might have sailed a while ago.
I canāt have Alts??
I donāt make alts to definitely-not-impersonate DOS players or lie about being new when Iām not.
Polish Sheep is not the same as Polish Cow if that was what you were suggesting. I think it would be great if we can focus on the actual merits of the campaign instead.
Yeah Iām not new. Been here for months ![]()
I am perfectly aware of that. I think the intention behind choosing the name āPolish Sheepā ā and then lying about being new ā is perfectly clear. I find it patently unprofessional and we should expect better from someone weāre going to hand the (mechanical) keys to the region. That directly impacts the merit of the campaign.
Polish Sheep is meant as a joke. And I havenāt tried to hide that itās my alt. So I donāt see the problem.
- How?
- With respect, one of your primary responsibilities as Delegate will not be to cast the regionās vote, you will, as all other WA Members do, have your own vote and you will have the biggest say in making the O.W.L recommendation, however, this is only a recommendation, you cannot make the region vote with that recommendation and, therefore, it is incorrect to say one of your primary responsibilities will be to cast the regionās vote.
- They would have to read it, the same as everyone else, this is reinventing the wheel.
- So, how will you collaborate with the O.W.L. Directors to sustain long-term engagement? You didnāt really answer the question.
- Re-directing me to your campaign is not good enough of a candidate running for Delegate, Head of State of the South Pacific. That response is not the detailed plan.
- Once again, this sort of response from a campaign for TSP Head of State is concerning and not good enough. I have not been back since April, I havenāt a clue what youāve been doing since April and if you want to be elected, I think youād better pull your finger out and start trying.
- You havenāt answered the question. Whilst it might seem like good news to continue it, what is your point in continuing it? What details will you provide that Ebonhand did not? How will your briefings be different to Ebonhandās and worthwhile, rather than simply a re-hash or copy of someone elseās idea?
With respect your wrong.
The delegateās vote depends on the OWL recommendation.
Therefore itās very correct to say that one of the primary responsibilities will be to cast the regionās vote.
Btw not trying to be rude.
I get that youāre not trying to be rude but Iām sorry to correct you once more. The Delegateās vote is not the regionās vote, the Delegateās vote is only the Delegateās vote. The Delegate might vote with the OWL recommendation, however, the Delegate is not casting the regionās vote. The region can see what the Delegate voted but they are still free to ignore it, hence, the Delegate is casting the recommended vote and the recommended vote alone.
The delegateās vote represents the region
No, thatās not proof, thatās only stating who the WA Delegate is and the amount of WA Nations who voted For/against within that region. The 556 listed were not all Ebonhand, they were the people in TSP who voted with Ebonhand. Ebonhandās vote was one, they clicked one button and cast one vote.
Ebonhand voted meaning TSP is against.
Thatās still not how it works, every WA Member is free to vote for or against any motion, whether their region makes a recommendation or not, the recommendation is only a recommendation and not law, therefore, anyone who voted against goes into the votes against the motion and anyone voting for goes into the votes for the motion, the Delegate casting their vote does not override the WA Members who voted against their vote.
I understand that but the delegateās vote overall represents the regions vote.
Can we agree on that?
Actually when a delegate votes their vote equals the amount of endorsements they hold. Thatās why quorum raiding is at thing.
Indeed.
Quorum raiding has to do with approvals of proposals, not the strength of the delegatesā votes ![]()
You misunderstand delegate votes. Delegatesā votes count an extra time for each endorsement they have. The 556 listed as Ebonhandās votes on the pie chart and the list of delegates is purely the strength of his vote. The individual votes of residents of TSP are not part of that number, rather they are part of the āindividual nationsā count which is the total votes of all non-delegate nations across the site voting.
The reason people refer to the delegateās vote as the regionās vote is because of the extra strength conferred to it by the endorsements of the people. Whenever someone endorses the delegate, theyāre effectively giving them an extra vote. This collective grant of votes is why the delegateās vote is managed in the way that it is. Itās not just the delegateās vote, itās the vote of a significant portion of the region as well.
