It is my incredible pleasure to announce the promotion of @Pronoun to the rank of Commander of the South Pacific Special Forces by unanimous vote of the General Corps, having satisfied the rank requirements, made substantial contributions to the infrastructure and culture of the SPSF, and demonstrated excellence in operational leadership.
Since joining the SPSF in January after participating as a civilian in our liberation efforts, Pronoun has consistently grown as a soldier. Pronoun’s particular strengths have been in the area of technical and infrastructure development for the SPSF, as well as an exacting precision in understanding and taking advantage of game mechanics. Tools like the Data Portal developed while Minister of Defense will keep records organized for years to come. Pronoun has also been active in tools development for defending more broadly, through the development of new tools for endorsements, keeping archives of Spyglass update ordering sheets, and most prominently Purée, which allows defenders to automatically create lists of detags to deploy at update. These accomplishments made Pronoun an honorable mention at the 2022 Defender Awards for the “Eluvatar Award” for tech development. Beyond this, Pronoun has taken an active role in integrating and training new members of the SPSF and battle leadership at updates, and has also acquired the dry wit and work ethic characteristic of contemporary defenders.

From time to time, we have the pleasure of naming new Soldiers. These are members of the SPSF who have been active in military operations, demonstrated an understanding of the core values, obligations, and responsibilities of SPSF membership, and developed the technical skills for basic liberation, detagging, and chasing operations. All of these players came to us through slightly different paths, many of them having deep roots in other parts of our community, but they have consistently shown up for the SPSF when we put out the call for must-win operations.
It’s an honor today to announce the promotion of Kotoha Tanaka (@Shibuya-Kanon) to the rank of Officer.
Kotoha has served in the SPSF in March, and previously attained the rank of Soldier in April. If you’ve read our reports, you’ll know that they’ve also quickly become the idol of the SPSF, and for good reason. They’ve graced over 200 updates with their energy and dedication — almost 80% of all updates in that time — and matched that in equal measure off the battlefield with their eagerness to learn and improve.
It’s been a pleasure to serve alongside Kotoha on the battlefield, and it’s an even greater pleasure to welcome them as an Officer with the unanimous consent of the General Corps.

Here at the SPSF, we’re always looking out for new talents. That’s why, after a discussion with the rest at GenCorp, we’re proud to announce not one, but two promotions!
The first promotion is The Age of Utopia. A collector of rocks and minerals, he has proven himself with doing it all across 50 updates. Be it fighting the Rock (chasing), recovering valuable minerals (detagging), and even recovering gemstones (liberations). Utopia has been a reliable updater who is ready for anything, and along with eagerness to improve, we’re proud to announce his promotion to the rank of Solider.
The second promotion is Drew Durrnil. Also a collector, but of cards, Drew came to the SPSF having been recruited by Concrete Slab. Having been brought in for the England sieges and liberation, Drew has over 70 updates worth of experience, alongside with card giveaways for those who show up to liberations and worshipping Concrete Slab. Drew has also taken in new knowledge with relative ease, building upon the foundations Slab left behind for him. Which is why we at GenCorp, along with Concrete Slab, are happy to promote Drew to Officer.
It’s been awesome to work with Utopia and Drew. With unanimous consent of GenCorp, we are once again proud to announce the ranks of Solider and Officer to Utopia and Drew respectively!

Here at the SPSF, we are always looking for new soldiers for our force. These two up-and-coming defenders, @vrigny and @Kimaeus, and have impressed and have far exceeded the standard for becoming an ensign.
Our first promotion, Vrigny, was liberating with the SPSF as early as August 2022, but started regularly updating with us in October 2023. He’s quickly learned the skills needed to be a defender and as a result is more than qualified to be an ensign.
Our second promotion, Liebestraum (nation: Kimaeus), joined the SPSF during the siege of Philippines in late October 2023. Since then, he’s done nothing but impress on the battlefield, showing incredible poise usually found in a seasoned veteran.
The Admiralty has thus evaluated that Vrigny and Liebestraum have both met the requirements for promotion to Ensign.
The SPSF has, as always, been looking forwards to getting new soldiers and making sure to facilitate the training they need. These last two months, we’ve seen two great new soldiers join the SPSF forces, jay (@xshotss) and @Coltranius; they have often participated in updates and have quickly and impressively earned the skill to become an Ensign.
Our first promotion, jay (@xshotss), joined the SPSF in late April of this year, and since their first day as a SPSF soldier, they have participated in quite a lot of updates, which demonstrates their great interest towards the SPSF. Clearly, jay has quickly learned the necessary skills to recieve the rank of Ensign, congrats!
Our second promotion, @Coltranius, only very recently joined the SPSF on the previous month, May, and they have already impressed the SPSF’s command with how quickly they learned the necessary skills to be qualified as an Ensign. Having learned how to effectively chase and do other defender activities in such a quick time is pretty impressive, so congrats, as well!
The Admiralty, coupled with the opinion and following of other members of the SPSF’s command has concluded that both jay and The Lombard League met the requirements for promotion to Ensign.
At the SPSF (South Pacific Special Forces), we are always looking for new officers to join our force, and our sitting Minister of Defense, Vrigny, has shown plenty of promise. First joining the SPSF in August 2022, he started more actively updating and participating in April 2024, getting promoted to an ensign later that month. He soon was nominated as Minister of Defense, overseeing an uptick in activity and training several new recruits. He has also been a reliable updater at minors, with more than 50 updates under his belt, most of which are in the last few months.
In his role as Minister of Defense, Vrigny has shown great ability in leading operations and rallying troops to liberations, with the SPSF consistently being among the top militaries, if not the top military, in liberation turnout. Vrigny has also recruited several new SPSFers and has kept morale high among the Force during his term.
As he has met the necessary promotion criteria, the Admiralty is proud to announce, with a unanimous vote, that Vrigny has been promoted from Ensign to Lieutenant of the South Pacific Special Forces.
It is with great happiness we announce the promotion of one of the SPSF’s most prominent figures; who could even be given the title of “savior of the SPSF” thanks to all of his actions both during his time as Minister of Defense as well as his great commanding and leading skill as a lieutenant. I’m obviously talking about our great Concrete Slab! In fact, most of the SPSF’s officer corps today is composed of members recruited by him.
This is not surprising at all, considering that his skill to recruit new members to the SPSF is unmatched by many, if not all. When he served as Minister of Defense, he greatly expanded SPSF’s numbers. Slab’s recruitment during and even after his term was truly special. As a result of his great enthusiasm, many of his recruits regularly attended updates and liberations, and do so even to this day.
When talking about Slab, we shouldn’t forget about his most impressive merit. When he was still a mere soldier (the rank equivalent to ensign at his time), during the major update of 18 March 2023, he led the SPSF to its largest turnout in its long history, with a total of 24 SPSF members showing up to liberate England! These numbers were consistently high with other updates during the England campaign, and his efforts during the operation were the difference between victory and crushing defeat.
With all of this said, the Admiralty is extremely excited to proclaim that, after everything that he’s done, Concrete Slab truly deserves this promotion from a Lieutenant to the SPSF’s newest, and coolest, Captain!
The South Pacific Special Forces is always looking for some new recruits that will make up the future of our military. Recently, we have received just that-skilled recruits that have routinely showed up to updates and served to fight raiders from all across the multiverse. The recruits in question are Parenthos (@Parenthos) and Oseao (@Oseao). They have quickly learned the skills needed to become a valuable defender, able to handily participate (and participating!) in any update if needed.
The first of our promotions is Parenthos. He joined the SPSF in early July, and has already completed 20 updates, including 60 defenses 228 detags, and 54 supports. He has shown exceptional technical skill during his time with the Force, which is why the Admiralty believes he more than deserves a promotion to Ensign.
Our second promotion is Oseao. Even though she joined less than 2 weeks ago, she has shown enormous dedication to defending, attending almost every update (24 to be exact) since she joined. She already has 98 defenses and 117 detags under her belt, and has quickly picked up the skills needed to become a valuable defender, more than warranting a promotion to Ensign.
