The SPSF is always proud to have a large, experienced officer corps that is able to adeptly lead and trains our members, sometimes training them to be officers themselves. Today, we are proud to announce the addition of @Coltranius (The Lombard League) to this group. Currently the Minister of Defense, he has done a great job in nurturing and training trainees, leading our military to routinely be among the largest in both regular update and liberation turnout. He has shown immense skill in both building up our military and participating in update activities, with him in fact being one of the best chasers in defenderdom. He has routinely shown up to updates and served as a crucial helping hand in detags and chases, with 60 updates, 291 defenses, and 330 detags under his belt.
Joining in late May 2024, he quickly learned the skills needed to defend and has been a quick riser in the SPSF. And with him quickly learning what it takes to command operations, the Admiralty hereby promotes @Coltranius to Lieutenant.

The Admiralty is proud to announce the promotion of @Heliseum to the rank of Ensign.
Heliseum is a veteran of the Special Forces, having previously served up through 2020. Since joining our ranks once again last month, they have quickly picked up right where they left off and established themselves as a consistent and dependable presence at update, with 34 updates under their belt since their return. In that time, they have demonstrated their familiarity with update mechanics, adaptability to changes in the game, and open-mindedness towards improvement, and their passion for the Special Forces. It is a pleasure to today announce their promotion.

@Banexet is a mainstay of the South Pacific Special Forces, but it wasnât always this way. I can remember being Minister of Defense during the 2023 liberation of England, only a few weeks into the job and canvassing the rmb for potential liberators. I managed to get Drew to answer the call through the promise of cards, and the rise of the SPSF began.
Drew spearheaded a trio of new officers that brought the SPSF into a high period of activity. Since he joined the SPSF in 2023, Drew has been present at hundreds of updates and has participated in over four thousand operations. However, many of Drewâs biggest contributions come outside the battlefield. A winner of the 2023 Ananke Award, Drew is one of defendingâs most prolific spotters, always keeping an eye out both for suspicious nations and regions that could use our help. He has generously organized card giveaways from his own collection in order to incentivize SPSF participation. And he has been one of defendingâs most useful assets in setting and executing accurate triggers for operations.
Drew Durrnil has served as Minister of Defense in the SPSF multiple times, helping to serve the agenda of various Prime Ministers through his leadership. His energy, skill, and loyalty are just a few of the many qualities that make Drew such a valuable asset not only to our military, but to our region. Having met the required criteria and receiving a unanimous vote from the Admiralty, it is with great pride I announce Drew Durrnilâs promotion to Captain. The rank of Captain is the SPSFâs highest rank it is possible to be promoted into, showcasing the trust we have in Drewâs capacity to lead and the scale of his contributions. Congratulations, Drew, and thank you for all that you do!

@Heliseumâs promotion has been a long time coming! No stranger to the SPSF, Heliseum joined in 2019 and served as Minister of Military Affairs for two terms in 2020. While eventually taking a break after that, he has since returned and made quite the positive impact on the Force.
Heliseum is once again a familiar face in Libcord, present at more updates than not. Showcasing reliability and skill, Heliseum was quickly appointed as a member of Junior Command. With over 1600 defenses and 900 detags under his belt, most of Heliseumâs training was little more than an exercise in facts already known.
Recently appointed as Minister of Defense, I look forward to working alongside him in this new capacity. Having met the required criteria and receiving a unanimous vote from the Admiralty, I am pleased to announce Heliseumâs promotion to Lieutenant!

Lieutenant Promotion: The Age of Utopia

Utopia has been hard at work these past few weeks flying through the training for officerhood, mastering both triggering and spotting in record time. He has demonstrated an eagerness to learn and perform at the highest caliber, attacking complexity with curiosity and vigor. To date, Utopia has valiantly represented the SPSF at 116 updates, performing 18 liberations, 621 defenses and 361 detags. We look forward to seeing his career continue to develop in the SPSF as he steps into the hallowed ranks of the officer corps.

My friends,
It is with great pleasure that, less than three months after his promotion to Lieutenant, I get to announce that @Heliseum has completed the necessary training and received approval to be promoted to a Captain within the South Pacific Special Forces.
Having served admirably as Minister of Defense, I can say there is no one currently in the Force more deserving of this honor. His relentless devotion to showing up to updates in a down time and rallying members of the Force is second to none. I speak for everyone when I say we look forward to what you do as Captain and now Prime Minister! Thank you for all of your hard work!
