When asked about the escalation between Pelinai and the UKED, Garovo Alertz only said;
“This is merely the result between two ideologically radical countries who are deeply troubled by events of the past. The escalation between them is expected- It is what countries of their stature do. While I hope for peace, recent events have shown us that some in their nations are not ones for de-escalation.”

Thus, effective immediately, and to prevent an incident, all Starhawk Naval Assets in the Mediterranean will leave for the West Coast of Spiras. And I say this, I don’t care if you are conservative or Socialist or Liberal, we are all one species, we can’t let a damn political ideology divide us. Oh, and I will have a “chat” with PM Galen about many things, including why the hell he responded to a tabloid, used “certain” language, and threatened peace with Pelinai.”
The Union Ministry Of Defence has begun planning to commission the JSI-23 “Starhawk”(Emeraldian Name being ESF-26 “Starhawk”) as it’s new main fighter for both the ERAF and the ERNAC. It is expected to be used as the carrier wing for Emerald’s next Supercarrier, the currently under construction ERNS Joshua VI and the planned ERNS Edward. Pilot training is expected to begin in the coming months.

While officially due to unstable situation in the region, it is likely due to the fact that they do not deem Galen’s cabinet, which had claimed an entire political ideology to be one that should be purged from the Earth, to be one that would engage in cooperative economic activity with the Kliegmeans.
The Gianlucian ministry of foreign affairs has issued a statement criticising the atmosphere created by partially state-owned media and high-ranking politicians in both, Pelinai and the UKED.
“The negotiations take longer than anticipated in the beginning, because historic guilt has to be discussed also. Still there is no more need for any escalation. Therefore we commend King Joshua for having made clear, PM Galen’s statement are not representative of general Emeraldian views.”
The United States of Izaakia Navy set to perform right to navigation voyages through the Mediterranean and the illegally claimed territorial waters of the frost empire.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has noted the request to have a Mutual Defense Pact with Emerald-Denver, and will make a decision in the coming hours. Elijah Adjei, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, is pleased to note that a nation is willing to partner up with the Evinean State.
The Imperial Frost Navy has requested the Central government authorize a Pacific Blockade in the Western Mediterranean sea. According to anonymous sources the proposed blockade allegedly creates a buffer zone in international waters separating and mitigating the chance of hostilities between Starhawk and Pelinese vessels, while also allowing for the continued travel of civilian shipping across the Med. However, the Imperial Frost Government has declined to respond on whether they would authorize such a blockade saying they would consult with their CE allies.
The Kingdom of Pelinai has signaled that it is willing to accept King Joshua VII’s statement of deescalation and has reduced the readiness level of PWA and RPN formations that were mobilized early this morning. The Pelinese General Staff has stated that certain PAF units will remain at Defense Alertness Level 3 until refreshed peace negotiations with the Starhawk Pact are concluded in case of further incidents, but has ordered RPN aircraft carriers and surface combatants of guided missile frigate size and up to return to their home ports.
After some briefings and discussion with advisors, the President of Evinea and Ministry of Foreign Affairs agree with the idea of having a Mutual Defense Pact with Emerald-Denver.
Acting Chief Hana Pua’Shi has announced that the delayed Independence Day celebrations are to be held in two-weeks’ time.
The Acting Chief made it a point to invite all people from around Pacifica to join the celebrations.

The results for this year’s elections from both The Main and Arctic Federative and AFNA are in, and as expected, the SPB has won once again, with Klim Noil sitting in the throne of the Minister of the Federative Council once again, however their popularity has significantly decreased since last election, likely due to the government (and by extension, the party) controversially changing the economic system to a socialist system in 2021. This decrease has greatly helped the GL and CCP to win great amounts of territory. Smaller parties have also increased their control, notably the CBP who for the first time has moved outside of North Bymia and has been elected by the people of R. M. R. as well. The DAP has also moved out of Forsesh and has expanded into Pilskin and Clenþ (albeit a very small expansion); something they haven’t done in the last 5 years. The GL continues to rule urban areas of Berusturg, but has also added the Tiling and Mood islands to their list.

Not much changed for the political parties of AFNA: the only territorial change was the dying BPN loosing the South Burcast island while barley holding on to the north. Support for ISP however has surprisingly reduced in Piland and increased for CEP, though they still hold majority of the island.
The Port of Huelva, Cadiz’s largest port, remains closed for a maintenance reason. Protestors have continued to gather in the streets due to the rise in oil prices after the closure and Prime Minister Pedro Areces Garcia joined in on a protest in Huelva.
Tellav Zakra, leader of the infamous Losavran Frankist Movement (LFM) which operates as both a terrorist organization considered the succession to the Great Losavran Frankist Party (GLFP) of the 1970s and an illegitimate political party that is still banned in many of the 24 tribes has made a speech from a remote location trying to justify his extremist ideals.
“Many say to me ‘but isn’t Democracy a more equal system?’ And I say, to hell with equality! Look where that got us before, annexed by the Father States in a matter of weeks! Look at even mighty Ryccia, capitulated by some militarists in mere days. What we need is not some hairbrained fool begging for votes- we need a strong and capable Stalroi who is up to the task of expanding our power and influence and securing our nation’s place. The only reason these ‘democratic nations’ are able to defeat ones with a greater capacity for war is by sanctions targeted at the people and with sheer mass of equipment and manpower. I say, no longer! Together, we can make Losavra a nation to be remembered, we can take the resources of Ikaranara which they foolishly expel to foreigners!”
Despite this rallying speech, Frankism has been losing favor in southern Losavra for a while since the deadly Ikaranarean War on Terror in the 1970s against the GLFP, with the ideology being outright banned from use in 20 of the 24 tribes and excluded from the national government. The Losavran Paramilitary Police have been trying to track down Zakra for years now, as he’s classified as a terrorist leader, but have so far been unable to capture him. Despite his implicit threat that his end goal is to conquer Ikaranara, the Ikaranarean government has called it a “bluff…” and an “…unrealistic pipe dream” that the LFM could harm Ikaranara in any way. The Ikaranarean defense Minister commented:
“The Losavran Frankist Movement has never had the same capabilities as the GLFP… they’re entirely restricted to internal action. Their threat is superceded by more dangerous groups in the country, like the rising Ultranationalists.”
The new currency has been unveiled by the FiHami government today. The first new bills and coins are being minted soon, and will enter circulation by the middle of the year.
