In Sedunn, a fighter aircraft stopped an armed robbery during a routine exercise and assisted in the arrest of two suspects. Mid-air, through an on-board surveillance camera, the crew spotted what seemed like two armed people aiming at a third person’s head near a secluded beach. The crew proceeded to performing a loud, low fly-by to scare off the robbers, which worked. They then tracked the fleeing vehicle and reported its position to the police who were later able to apprehend two men in their mid-twenties.

New Communist Party in Izaria Forms

Aitzondoa - A new political party, the Izarian Workers’ Party (IWP) , has entered the nation’s political landscape, declaring itself a party of orthodox communist thought. Its formation represents the first organized attempt in a generation to position itself to the left of the governing Eguzkiaren Festa (EGF) , arguing that the ruling party has strayed from principled socialist doctrine into what the IWV terms “managerial social-democracy.”

The IWV’s platform asserts that the EGF’s model of state stewardship over key industries like IzarPetrol and its tolerance for a regulated private sector within the tech and service industries constitute a compromise with capitalist mechanisms. In contrast, the Worker’s Party calls for the complete socialization of all major means of production, not merely state ownership, and the implementation of centralized economic planning to replace what it views as market-influenced management. It advocates for a foreign policy of explicit anti-imperialist solidarity, contrasting with the government’s practiced neutrality, and expresses critical opposition to defense arrangements it characterizes as aligning with larger capitalist powers.

Political observers note the group’s base appears limited but vocal, drawing from a segment of academia, older party veterans disaffected with the EGF’s modern trajectory, and a contingent of youth involved in political theory circles. “The IWV is not a mass movement; it is a doctrinal signal,” commented political scientist Markel Zubia . “It exists to assert that there is a ‘true’ leftist way that the current government has abandoned.”

Izaria has been on the left of the political spectrum for a majority of the time that it has been independent, where socialism and democratic socialism has been thriving. However, there has been growing criticism from other members of the left, and this may be a new path for change for many.

It is important to note that the IWP has called it self “alternative communist”, stating that it does not intend to establish a one-party state and promises to comply with Izaria’s rigid democratic framework.

The final two new carriers for the Ikaranarean Navy have finally finished production. As per Ikaranara’s previous commitments, the final two older carriers will be donated to the WF in order to act as hospital boats.

The new carriers give Ikaranara much better naval projection abilities than the previous models did. Those models, built not long after the Great War, were severely limited due to limits put on Ikaranarean military tech at the time. Analysts believe that Ikaranara may be planning to use some of its naval projection ability in areas like Mitalduk and the TCC, although Ikaranara has only currently made commitments to action in Mitalduk along with the World Forum.

BREAKING— Cordilian Human Rights Watch (CHRW) has sharply condemned the Keanuan Ministry of Defence’s use of bunker-buster munitions to end a three-day siege in the Hurley Islands, calling the strike, “an extrajudicial execution carried out under the color of law.”

In a statement released moments ago, CHRW said that the killing of individuals accused of drug smuggling inside a sealed Great War–era bunker does not meet the, “threshold of lawful combat under international humanitarian law, regardless of how authorities have labeled the suspects”. The statement continued saying, “simply declaring individuals to be ‘combatants’ does not make them so. Absent an active armed conflict and the protections of due process, the deliberate killing of suspects accused of criminal acts constitutes summary execution, not law enforcement.”

The watchdog argued that the purchase and use of Hammerhead-class bunker buster bombs— designed for hardened military targets— represents a grossly disproportionate use of force, particularly where arrest, containment, or negotiated surrender had not been exhausted.

CHRW is calling for an independent international investigation, urging Keanuan authorities to disclose rules of engagement, decision-making chains, and intelligence used to justify the strike. The group warned that failure to do so risks setting a precedent in which states bypass courts entirely by rebranding criminal suspects as enemy combatants.

Keanuan officials have not yet responded to the condemnation.

Keanuan foreign minister Princess Kauai questions if the Cordilian Human Rights Watch is acting outside of its geographical remit.

She went on to defend Keanu and Hurleys actions, saying that Keanu and Hurley faces an existential threat from criminal cartels and mercenary organisations that attempt to operate through Keanu and Hurley to smuggle and traffic narcotics, weapons and humans between Corrilia and Bailtem.

Those organisations are often comparable in membership numbers to the Kenaun Armed force as well as comparable in firepower, and often better funded.

She asked the CHRW if an armed group illegally enters a country, illegally occupies a military installation, and engages in armed combat with local forces, how are they not enemy combatants?

Syldain has been experimenting an upheaval of nationwide unrest, with nationwide protests and strikes paralyzing different parts of the country in the previous weeks.

The protester’s motives for the protests are very clear: economic inequality in Syldain is reaching unprecedented levels. On paper, Syldain is a pretty rich country, with a GDP per capita of $ . However, in practice, the majority of the country’s population lives with a gross salary of around $12,000 yearly.

With a slowly rising cost of living, around 4% Syldaeans now live under the poverty line, defined as earning less than $8.3/day. Meanwhile, it is no secret that there’s a group of Syldaeans, who are most powerful in the politics of the Republic, who own multiple mansions throughout the archipelago.

The protesters demand big changes, such as implementing progressive taxation, increasing minimum wages, or alternatively, giving much more power to Trade Unions to negotiate salaries with the capitalists. The still quite new leader of the Socialist Party, Luka Pankau, has vowed to implement harsh measures to correct Syldain’s insane inequality if his party wins the next elections, which looks likely according to recent polls.

Grovne, Sedunn— Cordilian Human Rights Watch (CHRW) has issued a forceful rebuttal to remarks by Keanuan Foreign Minister Princess Kauai, rejecting claims that the organization acted beyond its mandate and defending its legal characterization of the Hurley Islands bombing as unlawful. In a statement released this morning, CHRW said its remit is defined not by geography but by universally recognized principles of international law. “Human rights norms are not bounded by political maps,” the statement read. “When state force results in the deliberate killing of individuals outside of a recognized armed conflict and without judicial process, scrutiny is not only legitimate— it is required.”

Responding directly to Princess Kauai’s argument that heavily armed cartels constitute enemy combatants, CHRW drew a sharp distinction between criminal violence and armed conflict under international law. “The presence of weapons, funding, or organizational structure does not automatically transform criminal groups into lawful military targets,” CHRW said. “Combatant status arises from specific legal criteria. States cannot unilaterally redefine criminals as combatants with the objective of circumventing due process.”

The watchdog also rejected the notion that exchanging gunfire, and the occupation of a military installation alone justified the use of heavy military ordnance. “Even in situations of armed confrontation, states remain bound by necessity, proportionality, and distinction,” CHRW said. “The deployment of bunker-buster munitions against a confined target where arrest or containment was feasible raises serious concerns of excessive and indiscriminate force.”

CHRW reiterated its call for an independent international inquiry, warning that the normalization of such tactics risks eroding the boundary between law enforcement and warfare.

Keanuan officials have not yet issued further comment as diplomatic tensions over the incident continue to escalate.

Izarian Workers’ Party Launches Aggressive Recruitment Drive, Criticizes Government and Diarchal System

Aitzondoa - Over the past couple days, the Izarian Workers’ Party (IWP) has steadily expanded its exposure by launching massive recruitment campaigns, criticizing the current government calling it “capitalist debauchery”, and establishing their presence.

The party’s strategy has focused on door-to-door outreach in working-class neighborhoods of Aitzondoa and the port towns of Santu Uhartea, combined with regular public forums on topics like public housing, and energy policy.

Much of the party’s messaging has attacked the government from the left, calling the EGF’s socialism “comfortable and compromised.” IWP spokespersons regularly criticize the state’s continued reliance on petroleum exports, the perceived slow pace of the green transition. “The current government manages inequality; we seek to eliminate its roots,” said IWP organizer Miren Goya, after a recent meeting in the city’s old quarter.

Quite controversially, the party has also called out the Hiri-Herri policy, a centuries-old policy in Izaria that defines the diarchal (two leaders at once) system. They have called it unnecessary, leading to quite mixed reactions as the policy is embedded in Izarian culture and tradition. They have also positioned themselves as an officially Argiztar party.

BREAKING— Federal authorities have confirmed that Krauanagaz’s Federal Police Agency (FPA) has located and arrested Krautallaz Public Safety Director Chris Thorne, ending weeks of speculation over his whereabouts following his failure to comply with a federal court order.

According to FPA officials, Thorne was taken into custody during an operation in Krautallaz earlier today. As news of the arrest spread, a large crowd rapidly gathered at the scene, with supporters and protesters converging in what authorities described as an increasingly volatile situation.

Witnesses report that tensions escalated as demonstrators attempted to block federal vehicles from leaving the area, leading to physical confrontations between segments of the crowd and federal law enforcement officers. Video circulating on social media appears to show officers deploying crowd-control measures as objects were thrown and barricades erected on nearby streets.

The FPA said in a brief statement that the operation was conducted “in accordance with federal judicial directives” and confirmed that Thorne has been transferred to a secure federal facility. Officials declined to comment on injuries or arrests related to the clashes but acknowledged that the situation remains fluid.

Provincial authorities in Krautallaz have urged calm, including Governor Nimi, while federal officials warned that interference with judicial enforcement could result in additional charges. Political analysts say the arrest marks a critical escalation in the broader crisis over alleged discriminatory policies and institutional accountability in Krautallaz.

This is a developing story.

MPs are starting to question the legitimacy of Cynthia Erickson holding the position of Prime Minister, because she was not part of Coalition talks when this Government formed and, therefore, the office was never meant to rotate to her. Some MPs are saying she’s a very good Prime Minister, others are saying they’re not buying her as Prime Minister. Former Prime Minister Cecil Walton explained that the office was not planned to rotate to anyone in particular, it was to rotate to the Leader of the Modern Marxist Party and Erickson is that Leader. MPs are also saying that Cecil Walton leaving after 1.5 years was a surprise.

Deputy Prime Minister Garcia has announced that the Government will provide more funding to sewing businesses if they use less machinery and more manpower to ensure sewing in this country is done more authentically. Deputy Prime Minister Garcia is starting to get annoyed with MPs. He said, ‘This is not a coup, if that’s what you’re thinking. How do you know that? Simply, I am still Deputy Prime Minister, which was the deal, I was there for those talks, I did agree and, believe you me, if the Prime Minister was not legitimate, I would be the first to speak up and I would suggest it rotates back to me.’

Elsewhere, the Deputy Prime Minister has announced funding for TV shows produced in the Science Fiction genre. Speaking at Static in the Stars, the Deputy Prime Minister said, ‘Our TV studios have been seriously under-funded, making any good-quality sci-fi impossible. This funding brings the potential to produce a string of sci-fi shows and to a very good quality, including equipment, studio extensions, and new jobs, both for established workers in this field, newly-qualified young film makers and the opportunity for student film makers to get hands-on experience.’

A controversial new paper by Dr Shana Kirikiwa at the University of Ha’Hani discusses the “Finixation” of the Aikirani people, drawing parallels with the “Halorization” of the Kalweiri nomads.

Both Finixi people and Haloran elites responded with outrage to the publication of the paper, stating that it ignored “important history” of both island nations.

“It’s just the truth.” Was all Dr. Kirikiwa, herself of Aikirani heritage, had to say about the allegations. “The oppressors don’t like being confronted with the fact that the Finixi lifestyle was forced upon us, and how the Kalweiri people were restricted in their usual voyage patterns because of Finixi and Haloran interference.”

Other scholars believe Dr. Kirikiwa’s views are “extreme” and “not taking into account all sides of history.”

Izarian Worker’s Party Calls On the “Workers’ Class”

Aitzondoa - The Izarian Workers’ Party (IWP) is consolidating a noticeable base of support in the industrial and port neighborhoods of Aitzondoa, according to local organizers and political observers. The party’s growth appears tied to a focused campaign highlighting stagnant wages and the high cost of living, issues it frames as a direct failure of the ruling Eguzkiaren Festa (EGF) and its “capitalism masked as socialism for the working class.”

While the national economy remains stable, Izarian wages have continued to plummet and living costs to rise. At a recent evening meeting in a rented union hall in the port district, IWP organizers distributed fliers comparing average monthly rents in Aitzondoa with typical take-home pay for a freight loader, a disparity the party calls “the quiet crisis.”

“The EGF talks of macroeconomic stability and social harmony, but they are presiding over a generation of suspended aspirations,” said IWP current president Jon Zabala, addressing a crowd of about three hundred people. “You work full-time for the state or its contractors, yet a sudden illness or a rent hike can shatter your family’s balance. That is not socialism; it is managed decline. We demand a radical revision of the system.”

The IWP has announced plans to run in the upcoming Hiri-Herri election.
