Aitzondoa - The Izarian International University (IIU) opened its doors today in a formal ceremony on its newly constructed coastal campus south of Aitzondoa’s main port, marking the completion of a multi-year state-led project to expand the nation’s academic and economic endeavors. The institution will begin accepting students for its inaugural term next year, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs primarily in applied sciences, technology, and various form of art. Talks of astrophysics programs are also underway.
The university’s establishment addresses two objectives: providing education within Izaria to retain domestic talent, and creating a new export sector through international student tuition. “This institution is a logical next step in our development,” stated the Minister of Education during the opening address. “It allows our brightest minds to pursue the highest levels of study at home, applying their knowledge to our specific national context.”
Initial reports from the university’s administration indicate strong early interest. Applications from Izarian students for the marine engineering and IT programs have exceeded projections. Furthermore, formalized exchange agreements are already in place with several technical universities in neighboring states, guaranteeing an initial cohort of international students.
BREAKING— Authorities are responding to reports of a bombing at the Regional Federal Refugee Services Center in Vellienza, Krauanagaz, after a powerful explosion struck the government facility early this evening.
Preliminary information indicates the blast occurred during operating hours, when staff and members of the public were present inside the building. Emergency services, including federal response units and local fire crews, have cordoned off the surrounding area as first responders search for survivors and treat the injured. The extent of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
Witnesses described a loud detonation followed by smoke and debris, with windows shattered in nearby buildings. Federal officials say it is too early to determine the nature of the device or whether the attack was deliberate, though the location has immediately raised concerns given heightened tensions surrounding refugee services and recent extremist violence in Krautallaz Province.
The Federal Police Agency has acknowledged the incident and said an investigation is underway. Security has been increased at refugee and social services offices across the province as a precaution, and the national terrorism threat level has been elevated.
No group has claimed responsibility. Officials have urged the public to avoid the area and to report any relevant information to authorities as the situation continues to develop.
Bombing at Vellienza Refugee Services Center Confirmed as Hate Crime; Investigators Link Attack to Mitayyal River National Park Massacre
Vellienza, Krauanagaz — Federal authorities have confirmed that the explosion which tore through the Regional Federal Refugee Services Center in Vellienza on Tuesday evening was a deliberate bombing and are now investigating the attack as a suspected hate crime, amid growing evidence linking it to the recent massacre of Mitalldukish civilians in Mitayyal River National Park.
The blast occurred shortly before closing time, when staff were processing final appointments and several families remained inside the building. Officials say the device was concealed near a public-facing service corridor, maximizing exposure to both employees and refugees seeking assistance. Emergency responders rushed to the scene within minutes, pulling injured victims from smoke-filled offices as fires spread through parts of the facility.
As of Wednesday morning, authorities have confirmed at least 19 people were killed and more than 60 injured, several critically. The casualty figures are expected to rise as hospitals continue to assess patients transferred from the scene. The building has been declared structurally compromised, and federal engineers are conducting stability assessments before investigators can complete a full forensic sweep.

Deputy Prime Minister Garcia has been in talks to rotate the office of Prime Minister back to him. He said that he and the Prime Minister are taking talks seriously for two reasons, the first being that if the office does rotate back to Garcia, he will become the fourth Prime Minister of this Government which is ridiculous, the second being that if the office does rotate back to Garcia, the leadership will be more stable because the Leadership of the Modern Marxist Party is currently unstable and the Leader seems to be changing every two years, Garcia has been Leader of his Party since 2005, he would see out the term without swapping his role to someone else.

Scientists warn that rice, the staple crop most important to Indavrals, could experience a poor harvest this year due to disease and potential drought. Losavral farmers have reported crop failures due to a new disease that arose in late 2025, which farmers have reportedly started calling “Raz Couav” - Rice Reaper. Raz Coav has cooincided with a dry season that has caused much crop failures- especially for a crop as water-hungry as rice. While Losavral irrigation systems are generally good enough, they have been damaged in the years of war, and still heavily rely on natural rains. Many scientists attribute the spread of Raz Coav to low genetic variety in the rice strains being grown across the region, particularly in Indavra, and warn that it could be “potentially catastrophic” if it were to spread to other regions that heavily rely on rice.
‘Mentalitity of a Rapist’: President Renkara Caught on Hot Mic Criticising Ibinete and Zuhlgani Foreign Policy
BREAKING— A hot mic moment has ignited diplomatic tensions after President Thalira Renkara was overheard referring to Zuhlgan’s leader, Arkava Ga’klar Ibinete IV, as having “the mentality of a rapist,” according to multiple media outlets.
The remark was reportedly captured at the conclusion of a closed-door press briefing earlier today on the passage of the WF Mitallduk resolution, moments before President Renkara stepped away from the podium. The audio, which began circulating rapidly on social media and national news channels, appears to show the president speaking to an aide about recent developments in Zuhlgan before making the comment.
Krauanagazan officials have not denied the authenticity of the recording. A senior administration source described the remark as “an unguarded expression of deep frustration” following recent reports of executions, internal repression, and stalled accountability mechanisms in Zuhlgan. No formal apology has been issued as of this hour.
Zuhlgani state media has condemned the comment as a “hostile and defamatory insult against the Arkava and the sovereignty of Zuhlgan,” with commentators calling for a formal retraction. Kula H’kara, the Zuhlgani head of Foreign Affairs, has requested an urgent diplomatic clarification, according to regional diplomats.
The incident comes amid already heightened strain between Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan following the transfer and subsequent execution of former Autarks, as well as ongoing concerns over internal reforms and human rights abuses.
Analysts warn the hot mic moment could further destabilize the fragile post-ceasefire environment, complicating diplomatic engagement at a time when backchannel negotiations were reportedly underway.

Government and Opposition MPs have started a plot to oust the Speaker. They have declined, on approach, to comment. The Speaker reacted, ‘Yes, I have heard about that, and I am not sure I would resist them if it really happened, to be honest with you, I am sick and tired of the complaining, they moan about you but are too cowardly to actually give things a try themselves, so it might be the end, it might not, but if this really will happen, they have a long way to go yet and I am still the Speaker for now and will continue to fill that role.’

Reports from the Izarian Coast Guard confirm that they have caught a narcos submarine carrying over 1.1 tonnes of cocaine. According to the Izarian Coast Guard, the vessel had ran out of fuel while transporting drugs across the Mediterranean and the on-board crew decided to sink it near one of Izaria’s ports. However, it was quickly detected and captured shortly after.
Commander of Operations of the Izarian Coast Guard, Amets Bengoetxea, said that the vessel was “quite sophisticated”. “It had a large diesel engine, food and water for the crew, and tightly cramped beds. It’s definitely the work of an organization, possibly the same one that we caught in December of last year.”
Viridia: A recent documentary of Acantiladia’s wildlife captured a peculiar instance of a wandering penguin heading by itself towards the mountains, away from both ocean and its colony. It has taken the internet by storm as the documentary used dramatic organ music as the shot extended to encompass the landscape. Many sympathise the penguin either as a symbol of free will or existentialism. Despite scientist describing the phenomenon as a recurring issue of disoriented penguins, the internet continues to spread its imagery in pop culture. A widely accompanied text to the imagery is:

Millions join peace protests across the USI after 6 years in which the nation has been openly involved in 13 conflicts. This followed a relatively peaceful period from 2000 to 2020 where all three predecessor nations of the USI enjoyed 20 continuous years of peace.
At present the USI is currently engaged in the Terminan civil war, and carrying out counter terrorism operations globally against Terra Firma.
Elements of Ikaranarean forces, the FIC, and Losavral forces, have conducted a raid on the base of a Losavral militia that had previously refused to disarm.
The Losavral goverment ruled towards the end that all militia needed to disband, join the Losavral military, or get the necessary paperwork to become PMCs. This militia was unwilling to give up some of the materiel it would have to have given up in order to comply with regulations, and seemingly planned to operate illegally, possibly fleeing from the country. The joint forces were able to attack in the dead of night and secure all personnel and materiel present with no fatalities and a few minor injuries on the militia’s side.
Several Losavral Militia fled the country, particularly to deregulated countries like Termina, and many of them are fighting in the Terminan Civil War as PMCs, particularly against the CE-led coalition in the area. Historical analysts have noted the similarity between this and organizations like the Reizen Independence Movement and the recently decapitated Terra Firma, and cite a continuous trend of armed organizations going rouge and acting effectively as militaries without states, wreaking havoc on the national security concerns of even powerhouses like Izaakia by exploiting destabilized states and states with lax laws regarding the operation of PMCs.
When asked if the Indavral coalition had any plans regarding these international groups, the Losavral Chief Defense Officer said “We have no intention of allowing Losavral Terra Firma to terrorize the South Pacific.” The Ikaranarean Defense Minister stated that there are already “planned operations in the future” in regards to the organizations.
World Forum Passes Resolution Condemning Zuhlgan’s Actions in Mitallduk, Establishes Special Commission
Grovne, Sedunn— The World Forum General Assembly last week adopted a sweeping resolution condemning Zuhlgan for what it described as the unlawful occupation and annexation of sovereign Mitalldukish territory, marking the most forceful multilateral rebuke of Zuhlgan’s campaign to date.
The resolution, passed after weeks of closed-door negotiations and a tense plenary debate, reaffirms the inviolability of Mitallduk’s internationally recognized borders and explicitly names the Naraté Corridor, Aka Island, Kaliri Island, and Zhuvellik Island as territories under illegal occupation. Delegates described the vote as a turning point in international engagement with the conflict, which has displaced hundreds of thousands and destabilized the wider Cordilian Peninsula region.
In its opening clauses, the resolution reiterates the principles of the World Forum Charter and customary international law, while admonishing Zuhlgan for what it calls a sustained disregard for repeated international appeals to cease hostilities and withdraw its forces. It places particular emphasis on the humanitarian consequences of the conflict, citing mass civilian displacement, the destruction of critical infrastructure, and credible reports of human rights violations by both military and paramilitary actors.
The Assembly formally declared Zuhlgan’s actions to be in violation of international law and demanded the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all Zuhlgani military and paramilitary forces from occupied Mitalldukish territory. The text further calls on all World Forum member states to refrain from recognizing any territorial changes resulting from the annexations, a provision widely interpreted as a warning against quiet normalization or de facto acceptance of the new status quo.
The family of the Coraline states that no suitable mates have come forward among the Haloran nobles, and are encouraging Haloran people across Pacifica with at least $500,000 net worth between the ages of 25-30 to reach out to them with name, age, net worth, multiple pictures in diverse angles, and a paragraph introducing themselves to the Coraline.
BREAKING— Local media in Southern Mitallduk reports that heavy fighting has erupted in a village just 11 kilometers inside Mitalldukish territory, where armed units of the Krautallaz United Front (KUF) and HK-SM are reported to be engaged in an intense, now hours-long, battle near the border.
Local sources and preliminary security reports indicate the clashes involved automatic weapons, mortars, and possible improvised explosives, with fighting spilling through residential areas. Civilian casualties have been reported alongside militant losses, though exact numbers remain unconfirmed amid ongoing combat and communications disruptions.
Witnesses described residents fleeing on foot toward surrounding farmland as buildings caught fire and shelling echoed across the border. Medical volunteers say they are struggling to reach the wounded due to continued gunfire and roadblocks erected by armed groups.
Mitalldukish authorities in Med Karazh have not yet issued a formal statement, but border security units in Krauanagaz have been placed on high alert amid fears of spillover violence. The confrontation marks the closest major engagement to the international boundary in recent weeks, further heightening regional tensions.
