When asked whether the alleged trade in weapons and other goods to Okhoan opposition groups would be impacted by the trade the president said that his office retains the right to waive restrictions for certain goods, however Izaakian support for Okhoan opposition groups is merely speculation based on unreliable sources.

Concerning reports are coming out of the city of Krum, about the indiscriminate release of diethyl parathion by the Visrodin Army in the outskirts of the city. The substance, still used by many Visrodin farmers as an insecticide, was most likely seized by the military several days ago, and it is being used to delay and stop the SRA advance towards, and into the largest city of the country.

The pesticide was released in an aerosolized form in the outer areas of southeastern Krum, putting many citizens of the city and surrounding towns and areas in danger. The chemical substance is still in use by Visrodin farmers and agricultural corporations due to the lack of safety regulations, and is a member of the organophosphate family, characterized by its high neurotoxicity, even in humans.

The extension of the damage is unknown, but what is known is that it will most likely continue to have effects on the health of affected citizens and soldiers for many months in the future. The SRA has publicly condemned the Visrodin Army as war criminals and has stated that: “Anton Todorov only wished it was something like sarin instead”.

Global Alarm as Visrodin’s Chemical Warfare in Krum Generates Severe Humanitarian Risks

Developing— Reports from Krum, Visrodin confirm that the Visrodin Army has aerosolized diethyl parathion, a highly toxic organophosphate pesticide, in the southeastern outskirts of the city in an apparent effort to halt the SRA’s advance. The attack has endangered thousands of civilians as well as combatants, with long-term health consequences feared.

The Cordilian Human Rights Watch (CHRW) and Doctors Without Borders (NLL) have jointly condemned the attack, describing it as a “clear violation of international law.”

“The indiscriminate use of neurotoxic agents in populated areas is abhorrent. This act of chemical warfare must be met with swift accountability. Our teams are preparing urgent medical intervention, but exposure to organophosphates requires immediate decontamination and specialized treatment, which is severely lacking in the region." Stated a spokesperson for the two humanitarian groups.

Doctors Without Borders has called for the immediate establishment of humanitarian corridors to evacuate affected civilians, citing severe respiratory distress, neurological symptoms, and possible fatalities among victims.

The Krauanagazan government has issued a sharp condemnation, labeling the incident, “a war crime and an act of desperation by the Visrodin regime.” The State Department has called for an emergency session at the WF, demanding that the International Court (IC) launch an investigation into the Visrodin Army’s conduct.

The Krauanagazan World Forum Ambassador, Ryalla T’igarzi, stated, “The use of chemical agents against civilians and military forces alike is unacceptable. Krauanagaz condemns this heinous action in the strongest possible terms. We will work with international partners to pursue justice for the victims.”

The Holy Dominion of Zuhlgan has responded with a more measured but firm stance, calling the reports, “deeply concerning,” while emphasizing the need for verified investigations before conclusions are drawn.

A statement released by the Zuhlgani foreign ministry said, “The situation in Krum is deteriorating at an alarming rate. If confirmed, this would be a gross violation of warfare ethics. However, all sides must adhere to factual assessments before escalating tensions further.”

Despite their diplomatic tone, Zuhlgani officials have reportedly privately urged for stronger international oversight, warning that the unchecked use of chemical agents could set a dangerous precedent in regional conflicts.

Southern Cordilia Health Crisis Deepens: Joint Taskforce Formed to Develop Vaccine Amid Ongoing Outbreak

Alkantara, Krauanagaz — The mysterious disease that has swept across Southern Cordilia continues to take its toll on communities in Krauanagaz, Zuhlgan, and the Okhoa Protectorate. With confirmed fatalities now exceeding 6,000 and tens of thousands more infected, the outbreak shows no signs of abating, further straining already overwhelmed healthcare systems.

Originally emerging in overcrowded refugee camps in northern Krauanagaz last December, the illness rapidly spread throughout the region due to poor sanitation, limited access to clean water, and mass displacement caused by the Gulf War and the Mitalldukish Civil War. Characterized by high fever, severe respiratory distress, and a widespread rash that can quickly lead to organ failure, the disease disproportionately affects vulnerable groups—especially children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions. In some camps, infection rates have exceeded 50%, and hospitals report critical shortages of medical supplies and protective equipment.

The Miradi Air Force has carried out multiple air strikes over multiple crucial JLM (Jakuri Liberation Movement) cities and towns. The Miradi Army has also made an advance through the region of Nonajema. With approximately 3,000 soldiers, as well as 500 members of the Coalitanian Counter-Terrorism Unit, this attack will certainly weaken the JLM significantly and may be a turning point in the war.

In other news, peaceful protests broke out in neighbouring towns and cities that surround the areas controlled by the JLM which demanded the end to war and a possible ceasefire agreement. JLM officials have commented and said that they would only accept some sort of ceasefire if they are given recognition and their own country. President Valen Zeller said that “It’s time for an end to this war, and we will not hold back.”

President Lucia Alvarez of Alcoalitania, a crucial ally of Mirad, commented on the matter expressing her full support for the Miradi people and the Miradi army.

The political situation in the Kingdom of Visrodin has worsened, as that Chairman Anton Todorov was reportedly just rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Orlitsa, the new executive capital of his government.

Reports mention that the chairman suddenly started suffering from several seizures last night after waking up to drink water. This information comes from his wife’s testimony, as the chairman is currently in a coma. A document with orders and plans which apparently trace back to the the Knyaz was found on the floor in a corner of the chairman’s brand new residence in Orlitsa.

The Chairman’s security had been weakened due to the sudden move and reorganization of the government into the coastal city quite far west of Sarnitsa. It is not exactly known why the chairman’s personal security force failed to notice any suspicious action.

Meanwhile, the Knyaz has not said anything corresponding to the situation, other than a surprised statement, once the news about the chairman’s state reached the Royal Palace: “Really? This is completely unexpected”. There are concerns about the length of the chairman’s coma. The state of the military leadership is also unclear; Anton Todorov did not appoint a clear right-hand man or successor, so it is possible that the current government is finding itself under chaos in the meantime, aided as well by the terrible situation on most fronts with the SRA.

Zuhlgan Launches Major Naval Exercise in Gulf of Good Omen, Deploys Supercarrier

BREAKING— The Holy Dominion of Zuhlgan has announced the commencement of a large-scale naval exercise stretching from the central Gulf of Good Omen to the territorial waters off the coast of Okhoa. The massive maneuver involves both the First and Second Fleets of the Zuhlgani Navy in a major show of force.

The Second Fleet will prominently feature the Ozákla Class Supercarrier, Zuhlgan’s newest and most advanced warship, marking its first official deployment since its unveiling in July 2023. It will operate alongside the First Fleet, led by the veteran Zulgar Class Aircraft Carrier, highlighting a combined legacy and next-generation strike capability.

In a move raising eyebrows across Southern Cordilia, Zuhlgan also confirmed that its First Submarine Group will be stationed at a naval installation in the Okhoa Protectorate, “for the foreseeable future.”

Zuhlgani officials insist the operation is a routine defense drill, but analysts see it as a direct signal to both Krauanagaz and Izaakia to back off, amid rising regional tensions and escalating instability in Okhoa.

Zuhlgani Foreign Office Fires Back at President Dutton

BREAKING— Zuhlgan has just released a stern statement condemning President Dutton’s remarks as “baseless and dangerously provocative.” The Foreign Office accused Izaakia of misrepresenting its internal security measures and warned that any further provocations, including Izaakia’s expanded military exercises in the Gulf of Good Omen, would be met with decisive action. Officials declared, “Enough is enough. We demand President Dutton cease his inflammatory rhetoric and engage in responsible dialogue, or face the consequences.”

The Emeraldian Government, via the Union Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, has issued a statement that the Kingdom Of Emerald, and thus the Entire Starhawk Pact, would like to remind the government of Krauanagaz that the Emeraldian Government and the Starhawk Pact do not trust the Dominion Of Zhulgan to follow through with it’s “promise” to the people of Okhoa. The Emeraldian Government, more specifically King Joshua VII himself, personally believes that Zhulgani military build up in Okhoa is to ensure that the State of Okhoa remains in protectorate status under the Zhulgani Boot.

In response to Naval Exercise’s by both the United States Of Izaakia and the Dominion Of Zhulgan, the 4th Fleet station in Krauanagaz has announced it’s own Naval Exercise in the Gulf, with very specific orders to remain at least 200 nautical miles from the Izaakian Navy, with Admiral Neva Jackson, CO of 4th Fleet, suggesting the ERN and Izaakian Navy coordinate to ensure both Navies do not cross paths. Notably, the Zhulgani Navy was excluded from this suggestion. With so many Capital ships already being deployed to the Gulf, the HEMS Jylland II BB-18, HEMS Victorious BBS-21, and the HEMS Edward I CVN-31 now joining them, the already building flashpoint could end up worse as a 4th of the ERN now enters the volatile Gulf.

In other news,
Princess Laurie, 3rd child and only Daughter of King Joshua, has formally been accepted into the Royal Marine Officer Training School, transferring from the Royal Emral College she had been attending. This makes Laurie the 3rd child of the King to formally join the Emeraldian Military, the others being Prince Edward, a Lieutenant in the ERN, and Prince Dominic, a recently commissioned Air Ensign in the ERAF. Notably, Princess Laurie will be the 3rd member of the Royal Family overall to join the ERMC.

King Joshua VII’s other two children, Prince Lucas and Prince Austin, Ages 19 and 16 respectively, are still unknown in regards as to whether they shall join the Emeraldian Military in some capacity, whether it be active duty or in the reserves. Time will only tell.

Breaking news: Catastrophic EF5 Tornado Devastates Adenahull

Adenahull, Verdis – April 5, 2025

A catastrophic EF5 tornado struck the city of Adenahull Saturday morning, carving a path of destruction across multiple neighborhoods and leaving at least 14 dead and over 80 injured, according to emergency officials. With wind speeds estimated to have exceeded 360 km/h, the tornado is now considered the strongest ever recorded in Verdisian history.

The storm touched down at 7:42 PM intensifying rapidly as it moved northeast through the Havergate, Brinlow, and Wenton Hill districts. Entire rows of homes were flattened, industrial buildings collapsed, and large trees were torn from the ground. Eyewitnesses reported seeing multiple vortexes and debris being hurled hundreds of meters into the air.

“It looked like the sky ripped open,” said resident Mira Talven, who took shelter in a basement with her family. “We came up and our street was just… gone.”

First responders worked through the night and into the early morning, digging through collapsed structures and transporting the injured to makeshift triage centers. Power and water systems in the eastern half of the city remain severely disrupted.

Verdisian meteorologists have confirmed the tornado formed from a rotating supercell that developed with almost no warning. By the time emergency sirens sounded, the funnel was already descending over the western city edge.

“This level of destruction is something we’ve only modeled, never witnessed here,” said Dr. Oren Vaslik of the Verdis Meteorological Bureau.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with national emergency teams deployed to assist local crews. Officials have declared a state of emergency and shelters have been opened across unaffected parts of the city.

Zuhlgan Annexes Strategic Resource-Rich Region in Mitallduk

BREAKING— In a major escalation, the Holy Dominion of Zuhlgan has unilaterally annexed a strip of coastal territory and surrounding maritime waters in interior Mitallduk, claiming control over a region widely known for its iron ore reserves and vast undeveloped natural gas fields beneath the Cordilian Sea.

:small_red_triangle_down:The annexed area includes:

  • Aka Island, seized by Zuhlgan forces on January 31
  • A land corridor extending from the coast to the east of Ta’ana, now fortified and patrolled
  • Maritime zones identified in recent geological surveys as rich in hydrocarbon deposits

The Krauanagaz Federation has condemned the move as a blatant land grab, accusing Zuhlgan of violating long-standing demarcation agreements and exploiting Krauanagaz’s ongoing domestic crises for territorial expansion. A spokesperson for the State Department stated, “This is not merely an act of aggression. It is a calculated economic seizure under the guise of border security. Zuhlgan has crossed a line.”

Meanwhile, Ta’ana, the largest city near the new frontier, has reportedly seen a surge in Free Takaran Army (FTA) troop deployments and civilian evacuations, amid fears of further escalation. Mitalldukish elders and tribal leaders in the region are demanding immediate international mediation, calling the annexation a “resource war.”

Zuhlgan’s Foreign Office released a brief statement claiming the territory was, “historically affiliated and economically neglected,” and emphasized the need to, “protect energy corridors vital to regional security.” With critical mineral and energy resources now under Zuhlgani control, this annexation could reshape the economic balance in Southern Cordilia— and ignite a dangerous new front in an already volatile region.

The worsened situation of political chaos, as well as general civil unrest, in the form of rioting, obstruction of authorities, strikes and protesting, has favored the SRA’s position in the city of Ardino, the third largest city in the country.

The SRA now controls most of the city, as militia and professional soldiers within the army have advanced further into the southern districts and now firmly control the city center. Citizens within the city have been helping the SRA with the means listed above, but they have also been joining in the battles with their own weapons, or those supplied by the SRA.

The most notable event in the battle of Ardino so far is the ransacking of the Ardino Royal Palace by SRA militia and the city’s population. Paintings, sculptures, golden relics and more have been looted by citizens that broke into the palace. The palace was left empty after the ransacking, and several fires broke out inside of the structure. The building is still burning, but most of the palace has already been burnt and irreparably damaged.

‘No One is Stopping Them’: Tensions Boil Over in Mitallduk as Zuhlgan Advances and Local Resistance Multiplies

Ta’ana, Mitallduk— Tension along the Krauanagaz-Zuhlgan border has erupted into a full-blown territorial crisis following Zuhlgan’s annexation of a strategic strip of land and sea rich in iron ore and untapped natural gas. The move has been met with fury in Krauanagaz and growing unrest on the ground, where local communities are reporting military patrols, resource surveys, and forced displacement in the newly claimed zone.

On January 31, Zuhlgan annexed Aka Island, and in the weeks since has gradually extended control over a coastal corridor east of Ta’ana, culminating in the construction of new observation posts and the deployment of Zuhlgani civilian engineers. This corridor, once administered by the Mitallduk Confederacy in coordination with Krauanagaz, holds some of Cordilia’s last undeveloped natural gas fields, as well as high-grade iron ore deposits.

“They’ve brought in survey teams, surrounded our fishing zones, and set up a perimeter,” said a tribal leader from the North Mitallduk community, who asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons. “It’s clear they’re not leaving anytime soon.”

A documentary in is the works covering the case of Yttria’s Equinox Killer, who first struck the nation in 1977, bringing panic to the first day of Spring.

The director of the project, Jason Alexander Avaar, is the great nephew of the killer’s first confirmed victim, and in an exclusive interview with CRI explained his goals for the project. “Human beings are full of potential,” he said, “but it can often be difficult for us to truly appreciate the deaths of those we’ll only ever know as a statistic. But more than that, the wonderful interconnectedness brought upon us by the internet has also allowed for the growth of societal rot. We live in times where serial killers are idolized, where some would forgive murderers and abusers for their base attraction. Other documentaries have only amplified this. But my great uncle’s killer was never caught, and very well may never be. There’s no pretty face to be swept up in, only the aftermath of a deranged individual’s rampage. I want the up-and-coming generations of today to understand that people should be, MUST be judged only by their actions, and ultimately held accountable to them.”
