New, updated, voting intention polls have been released for the Vrignyan regional elections. We had already seen the situation in the North-Western Vrignyan province of Vingalny, where polls show that the Vrignyan far-right is really close to achieving a majority if the Z-D Kresbo and CPV form a coalition.

Today, this report will cover the poll from Zidakny, the central northern province with a vast area of rainforests. Zidakny contains Vrigny’s 5th and 13th largest cities, Dianxe and Murkan, and the province has a total population of around 1.6 million, with 88% of the population living within those two cities.

The poll suggests the following results:

SPV (Social Democratic): 29.8%
ISPfWL (Far Left): 28.1%
LPV (Neoliberal): 16.2%
GPV (Green): 10.5%
Z-D Kresbo (Far-right): 5.82%
EVDP (Right-Wing Agrarian): 4.5%
RPV (Right-Wing): 2.18%
CPV (Far-right): 1.94%
PFtA (Animalist): 0.96%

With these results, Zidakny would be able to be governed pretty comfortably by a coalition led by the SPV and the ISPfWL. While the SPV’s results are no shock at all, due to the SPV’s historical record of electoral victory in the cities of Dianxe and Murkan, it is interesting to note the huge rise of the ISPfWL, which only had around 15% of votes in the last Vrignyan general elections in the area which is now the province of Zidakny. There could be several different causes to this, like: the general discontent of previous SPV voters of Erick Vorsen’s “relatively incompetent” rule and campaign for the SPV, or a shift in workplace and economic dynamic which could have invited many of Zidakny’s lower-class workers into voting the ISPfWL.

Another thing to note is that, just like in Vingalny, but in a much reserved extent, the Z-D Kresbo has managed to gain the voting intention of around 6% of Zidakny residents. This may not seem like much, however, the Z-D Kresbo barely managed to achieve 0.5% of the share of votes in the last general elections in the area. This may suggest that the Z-D Kresbo’s rise might not be as extreme in other provinces as in Vingalny. The reasons of this rise in Zidakny could probably be explained with the wave of immigrants from Aldestukk and distrust of Vrigny’s northeern war-mongering neighbor, Firest.

BREAKING: Zuhlgan Accuses Krauanagazan Activist of Inciting Violence in Fatal Protest (KRV)

Varekko, Okhoa— A peaceful protest for Okhoa independence in Varekko turned deadly when Zuhlgani authorities opened fire, killing at least three people, including a Krauanagazan activist, and injuring 21 others. Zuhlgani officials claim they responded to gunfire from the crowd, alleging that the Krauanagazan activist was an undercover intelligence operative aiding Okhoa militants. However, eyewitnesses dispute this account, asserting that the protest was non-violent until the police began shooting without warning. Krauanagaz has not yet officially responded to these allegations, but the incident has heightened tensions in the region and raised concerns about potential escalation into a broader conflict.

BREAKING: Close Call Over the Gulf: Krauanagazan and Zuhlgani Jets Collide in Disputed Airspace

Gulf of Good Omen— A mid-air collision between Krauanagazan and Zuhlgani fighter jets over the disputed Gulf of Good Omen has heightened tensions between the two nations. Both pilots safely ejected, and each government blames the other for the incident, which occurred in Zuhlgan’s contested “Security Zone.” Krauanagaz demands de-escalation talks, while Zuhlgan insists on defending its sovereignty and warns against future incursions. With increasing military activity in the Gulf, analysts fear the situation could escalate into a larger conflict.

Okhoa Independence Movement Gains Momentum Amid Increased Protests

Varekko, Okhoa— Mass demonstrations across Okhoa have surged as the independence movement grows in popularity, drawing thousands into the streets of Varekko and other cities. Protesters demand Zuhlgani withdrawal and increased autonomy for the region. While mostly peaceful, recent protests have faced heavy crackdowns by Zuhlgani security forces. The unrest has caught the international community’s attention, prompting calls for dialogue between Zuhlgan and pro-independence leaders to prevent further escalation.

Krauanagazan Economic Outlook Darkens Amid Gulf Tensions

Alkantara, Krauanagaz— Economic analysts warn that the ongoing tensions in the Gulf of Good Omen are beginning to impact Krauanagaz’s already grim economic outlook. With trade routes in the region facing severe disruptions due to increasing military patrols and the looming threat of conflict with Zuhlgan, key industries such as shipping and energy are experiencing renewed slowdowns. The Krauanagazan government reportedly is considering emergency economic measures to mitigate potential losses, while businesses brace for further instability in the weeks ahead.

Krauanagazan Government Faces Internal Debate Over Military Strategy

Yayyára, Krauanagaz— The Krauanagazan government is grappling with internal divisions over its military strategy following the recent naval incident with Zuhlgan. Officials are reportedly fiercely debating whether to escalate their involvement in the conflict or pursue a more diplomatic approach. The pressure to come to a final decision is mounting with increasing military activity in the Gulf of Good Omen and pressure from allies, both political and international.

Krauanagaz Introduces New Maritime Defense Policy in Response to Gulf Tensions

Alkantara, Krauanagaz— The Krauanagazan government has unveiled a new maritime defense policy aimed at protecting its interests in the Gulf of Good Omen amidst rising tensions with Zuhlgan. The policy includes expanded naval patrols, increased surveillance capabilities, and the establishment of designated “maritime defense zones” to safeguard shipping lanes. Krauanagaz asserts the move is a defensive measure in response to what it calls Zuhlgan’s “illegal” Security Zone. Critics, however, fear the new policy could provoke further military confrontations in the disputed waters.

Developing: Krauanagaz Weighs Military Response After Gulf of Good Omen Naval Incident

Yayyára, Krauanagaz— The Krauanagazan Department of Defense reported a naval incident involving Krauanagazan and Zuhlgani warships in the disputed waters of the Gulf of Good Omen. Although no casualties were reported, the incident heightens tensions amid Emerald’s recent declaration of war against the Holy Dominion of Zuhlgan. Krauanagaz is now at a crossroads, debating its involvement in the conflict as Zuhlgan increases its military presence, particularly on New Takara Island. This island’s strategic significance has led to increased confrontations in the region. While both sides have avoided direct military engagement for now, Krauanagaz faces mounting pressure to clarify its position, with the risk of a broader regional conflict growing. International observers urge dialogue, but the situation remains volatile as Krauanagaz convenes an emergency legislative session to address the crisis.

BREAKING: Sources Say Zuhlgan and NaGB Nearing Trade Agreement, Aid Deal

Ozákla, Zuhlgan— Sources familiar with the negotiations say that NaGB and Zuhlgan are nearing a deal on both a developmental aid package and military equipment import/export agreement. Sources indicate that Zuhlgan may offer a loan package worth approximately 8.5 billion Pacifican Dollars (over 8.8 billion Yalas) to help stabilize NaGB’s post-war economy and revitalize its key industries and infrastructure.

Earlier reports suggest that the Holy Dominion is seeking to secure a long-term procurement agreement, ensuring that NaGB becomes a key supplier of warships and heavy military equipment for the Zuhlgani armed forces. Such a deal could provide a much-needed boost to NaGB’s manufacturing sector, which has been operating far below capacity due to the consequences of warfare in the nation.

BREAKING: Krauanagaz House of Magistrates Passes War Resolution

JUST NOW— The war resolution has passed the Ludikiari and is now headed to the Zhirveniayyaka for a final vote. Sources say the Zhirveniayyaka session will begin within the hour. The stakes are high as dual approval is required for any formal declaration of war, along with a signature from the Krauanaet.

The Ludikiari (House of Magistrates) came into session around 11AM today to begin deliberations on the war resolution. Throughout the proceedings intense debates took place, occasionally escalating into personal insults. Defense Secretary N’gevayya was present for the Ludikiari session to advocate for military action against Zuhlgan, indicating that the Zharan administration has likely come to a final decision.

Around 12:40PM, the resolution was introduced for review and amendments. Our research team is still reviewing the full text; however, it is clear that the resolution approves a dramatic increase in Krauanagazan deployments in the Gulf of Good Omen, along the Zuhlgani border, and in the Transcrabrian Sea.

Large demonstrations in support and opposition of a war with Zuhlgan have spawned in front of the Krauanagazan Capitol building in Yayyára.

This is a developing story.

With the voting intention polls for 2/10 of the Vrignyan provinces advertised for now, we move on to the situation over in the province of Lekzar; over in eastern Vrigny.

Lekzar can easily be described as Vrigny’s “mine” province. Large areas within the 23,662 square kilometer province have been dedicated to open pit mining since decades. Clearly, this large and predominant mining economy that Lekzar has influences its regional politics quite significantly. Around 2.12% of Vrigny’s population call Lekzar its home. Most of the province’s inhabitants are, logically, miners or industrial workers. The province also contains Vrigny’s 7th and 10th most populated cities: Maxi and Rijeke, respectively. Both have been hubs for the Vrignyan steel and aluminum industry, even since before the Second Stratocracy.

Today’s poll points to the following electoral results:

ISPfWL (Far-left): 71.23%
SPV (Social Democratic): 14.56%
LPV (Neoliberal): 9.22%
Z-D Kresbo (Far-right): 2.14%
RPV (Right-Wing): 1.48%
GPV (Green): 0.62%
EVDP (Right-Wing Agrarian): 0.32%
CPV (Far-right): 0.27%
PFtA (Animalist): 0.16%

These results show what would be a very clear victory for the ISPfWL. With 71.23% of the vote share going to such party, Lekzar would end up under the rule of the communist ISPfWL. While these results are indeed shocking, they are nothing unbelievable, like the results from the poll in Vingalny. Lekzar is one of the comparatively poorer regions of Vrigny, so this could be one reason for such a large advantage of left-wing parties in the province.

However, the clearest explanation for these possible results would be the fact that ISPfWL has, in some way or another, managed to hold some sort of control over what is now the province of Lekzar. Most, if not all trade unions in the province are led and controlled by the ISPfWL. The ISPfWL also has its own news, information, and commentary channel which is broadly watched in Lekzar: Cerenyxine (Eastern Land News). Some have also accused the ISPfWL’s trade union leaders of threatening members with expulsion if they do not vote the ISPfWL.

BREAKING: Krauanagaz Declares War on Zuhlgan After Razor-thin Zhirveniayyaka Vote

In a historic and tense session, the Zhirveniayyaka has approved a war resolution against Zuhlgan by a narrow margin, formally declaring Krauanagaz at war. This comes after a lengthy filibuster by the sole YKK Lupriari , who had fiercely opposed the resolution as a member of a historically pacifist party. Massive protests surround the Capitol as the nation braces for the next steps.

Krauanagaz’s leader, Krauanaet Zharan, signed the resolution into law shortly after the vote. The government is set to address the public soon, outlining the military strategy and diplomatic efforts moving forward.

This declaration marks a pivotal moment in the Cordilian Crisis, with the potential to reshape the geopolitical landscape of the region and wreak devastating destruction across the Cordilian Peninsula.
