The growth of the Vrignyan GDP is estimated to be around 5.1% in Q2 2024. This is a surprisingly high number, at least compared to the growth in Q1, of around 2.65%. The main causes for this high economic growth are mainly the general establishment and growth of the Vrignyan services sector, the increase of construction projects all over Vrigny and the revival of the Vrignyan military-industrial complex.
If this trend of growth keeps ongoing, the Vrignyan nominal GDP is expected to reach around $1.9 trillion at the end of the year. It is certainly clear, though, that the Vrignyan economy still has plenty of branching oportunities in all of its sectors, be it investing into more advanced manufacturing, or tourism.

It is reported that the Kliegmean Ambassador to the Frost Empire has appreciated and expressed gratitude for the Veteran Groups’ visit to Kliegme and their efforts to further mend old wounds between the two nations. However, the ambassador has maintained the Kliegmean policy that as part of the War Memorial of Kliegme’s collection, the standards of the Frost 190th Division will be displayed in the Bremyansk Branch of the War Memorial with the utmost respect and care.
With The Kliegmean Victory Day (OOC: Retconned to be in July 17th) coming in near weeks, there is an ongoing debate in Kliegme whether to invite the Frost Empire to the Victory Day Parade as a show of reconcilliation and solidarity within the CE allies, or to continue last year’s precedent of inviting CE members’ head of state/government except for the Frost Empire to the Victory Day Parade.

Myria and Kliegme signed a 30-day Mutual Visa Free Agreement. The Two nations have in recent times quickly increased their mutual ties, in part of Myria’s diversification strategy regarding their economy, which requires many partners in order to be effective, and Kliegme’s growing ties with the Sunrise Triad with the partnership with Sallodesia being one of the oldest and most profitable precedents for such endeavour.
In other news, Kliegme has sent invitations to to the Concordia Entente Members’ head of states which includes the Frost Empire, the Peony, the Weissersteiner Empire’s Kaiser Wilhelm II, and the Terminan Confederacy’s Chancellor Ikufube to observe the Civilian-Military Parade which occurs in Gawrnov’s Akula Square in July 17th, celebrating the 64th Anniversary of the End of the Kliegmean War of Independence.

With the DUK-AVP coalition’s campaign utilising the Foreign Policy, especially the developments made with the CE for the General Elections occuring on July 9th, the approval, albeit conditional, from the Immortal Regiments to invite the Frost Empire to join the Victory Day Celebrations as a show of Reconciliation between the new Allies, is expected to be a boon for President Boroshilov and his party.
(OOC: Military participation is assumed for Sallodesia, Weisserstein, and Termina {I’m unsure if Termina has a standing military, but city states are free to send their national guard equivalent if Termina doesn’t})
Official military sources from Firest claim to have bombed and destroyed several major Stukk supply establishments and garrisons in the Stukk provinces of Gristxi, Apinsxi and the Kapital region, as well as having struck the main Stukk defense line in the disputed border between the two countries, just 25 km away from the city of Gristen. These air strikes have been most likely carried out with Firest’s recently leased Vrignyan ground strike aircraft.
These sudden air strikes are the official end of the 7 year long armistice between both countries. Chairman Maxim Vireat of Firest, has claimed that: “this will be the Final War against Aldestukk” on his speech today. Meanwhile, Marshal-Protector Klaus Tillen of Aldestukk only said that: “Firest’s days as an experiment are numbered”. Martial Law has been enacted in both countries and many reservists are making their way to the trenches once again.
The border between both countries has been heavily fortified since even before the armistice, and no further conflicts had been started due to the difficulty of performing any breakthrough successfully, but the Firestian leadership has now changed the situation. With both countries a generally underdeveloped air force, it is clear that the new Firestian ground strike aircraft will be key for any breakthrough.
Some initial ground battles have started close to the Firestian city of Gristen, but there have been no notable advances yet by any side, as both nations are still mainly in the process of mobilization for a large scale war.
Firestian authorities have begun the evacuation of civilians from the city of Gristen (pop. ~130k) after a Stukk artillery attack against the city, which has caused the death of up to 200 civilians. Firestian leadership has accused Aldestukk of using inhumane tactics, using Firestian civilians to thwart the country’s military objectives with the evacuation effort.
Aldestukk has always had an artillery advantage compared to Firest, and Gristen’s close proximity to the conflict border (~18 km) makes it a possible target for Stukk artillery. However, after the attack on Gristen, Firestian ground strike planes reportedly bombed the Stukk positions and inflicted heavy material and personnel losses. No major breakthrough has been reported yet by either side, despite Firestian sources reporting a high amount of Stukk casualties due to the constant Firestian air strikes and air superiority.
Meanwhile, a group of around 1.2k Vrignyans, members of the Z-D Kresbo have crossed the Vrigny-Firest border in effort to aid the Firestian Army, and have formed a regiment named after the party. The Vrignyan Government has proclaimed that no Vrignyan should cross the Firestian border due to safety concerns, and that it is currently working to close the border.

A recent poll released by an independent agency in FiHami has shown a steep increase in the percentage of FiHami citizens that support reinstating the legislature, from 24% to 87%. Of the responses in favor of legislature, 37% responded that they would like to see the office of the Ha’Coron’ abolished, 2% of no opinion, and the remaining percentage advocating for the *Ha’Coron’ to be a purely ceremonial position for cultural practices.
Stukk officials have accused Firest of performing an air strike with incendiary weapons in the city of Apins. Meanwhile, Firestian military sources claim to have struck the Apins airport, which had reportedly several of the few Stukk military jets in its hangars. Firestian officials have stated that: “attacking Stukk civilians, even if the Stukk have killed Firestian civilians already, won’t help us strategically and will only cause more unnecessary deaths”.
Meanwhile, on the frontlines, it seems that the Stukk first line of defense is about to break, mainly due to the Firestian air strikes, which is accentuated due to the arrival of several Firestian armored vehicles and tanks which are likely to break the trench warfare which has been ongoing for several days. Firestian military sources claim to have inflicted up to 7k Stukk casualties already, but it is unclear if this is true.
The office of the Terminan Security forces has confirmed that they would send the 44th motorized battalion when asked if they would also participate in the Kliegmean Victory day celebration.
In other news the Frost empire has submitted a list of individuals planned to attend the Kliegmean victory day celebrations to the Kliegmean ambassador. The decision to submit the list was to ensure that the Empire wouldn’t inadvertently anger their counterparts by sending a delegation mostly comprised of military instructors who were historically sympathetic to the Kliegmean struggle for independence and representatives of veterans groups who respect the Kliegmeans for their valor during the war. Frost president Kensei is also expected to attend with foreign minister Kuribayashi.
