After a initial block by the senate, the national diet of Ateemara has voted to intervene militarily in Mitallduk.
Ateemara, Mitallduk’s once colonial overlord, has kept good relations with the nation ever since it’s independence, previously sending aid and assisting the nation militarily. Even so the senate blocked intervention, citing the lack of a coherent plan and impulsiveness of the proposal. After the empress held a speech earlier today and a proper strategy being discussed, the senate has lifted it’s block, passing the bill at 22:30 local time.
The plan consists of a naval blockade to stop rebels from escaping the nation as well as areal actions in the north to secure air superiority against the TPA. Further actions will be coordinated with the armed forces of Mitallduk.
As soon as the bill was passed the fleet and air force have been mobilized with the fighter wing of the HIHS Tiit III having reportedly engaged the enemy. This is a developing situation.

The Vrignyan Government has just passed a new law, lifting the almost complete ban, and heavy restrictions, when it comes into selling military equipment from the Armed Forces to other countries in Pacifica, but the law focused mainly in Firest.
The previous law which was just replaced also severely limited the sale from private weapon manufacturers to the Republic of Firest. Now, with this change, the Vrignyan military industry could see a new rise after the fall of the Stratocracy, considering the Republic of Firest’s large military equipment demands. This is not considering the possibility of Vrignyan weapon sales to other countries who may need or want them.
This new change has immediately been met with several military equipment deals from the Republic of Firest, such as the sale of large amounts of Vrigny’s napalm bombs and other support equipment which the northern Republic may lack.
Another consequence of the change has been the organization of some small protests by Vrignyan pacifists, and anti-war activists, which defend Vrigny’s relatively historic pacifism and denounce the new law as the Government facilitating war profiteering.

The last surviving orphanage in FiHami has closed its doors after the last child in FiHami’s foster care system has been adopted. Future children admitted into the foster care system will be sent to a foster home, under the care of a volunteer family, until the child is adopted.
FiHami’s social workers see the lack of work available to them as a “massive win”, due to near-zero cases of domestic violence per year and the relative eagerness of citizens to adopt children alongside their biological children, the society-wide expectation of larger families, and low cost of living compared to average household income.
The nation of FiHami has announced it’s annual Finixi New Year’s, Chief’s Day, and birthday party for Coron’shi Finix from June 20th to the 21st. On Chief’s day, there will be a memorial service for the Great Ha’Coron’ Finix, who was killed in 2020 from the Matriarchy Fundamentalist riots alongside a celebration of all the recorded rulers in the past. On the 21st at 6:00am local time, the island will celebrate the First sun of the year, then a giant party at solar noon, followed by a party in the evening to celebrate the young chief’s 4th birthday.

Kevluarital, Kevpríg— A large explosion has occurred at Omen Oil Company Offices in Kevluarital. Kevluarital authorities say that the building is currently on fire and emergency crews are working to extinguish the flames and evacuate victims. The explosion occurred during an annual shareholders meeting which was taking place in an event room on the first floor.
Authorities say that at least 9 people have been killed, and dozens more injured. Kevluarital Police said on Pasture that they are investigating this incident as an act of terrorism, and that the FPA has been given the lead on this investigation.

Alkantara, Kevpríg— At least seven have been killed amidst unrest in the Southern province of Kevpríg tonight after protests erupted against a new surge of fatal attacks by MOT and Red K militants in and around Alkantara. The lack of security against militant attacks has driven anger against local security forces, with both soldiers and civilians alike killed during protest clashes.
The Kevpríg Provincial Militia reports that three of its soldiers were injured while assisting local police in disbursing the demonstrators outside of the Federal Army’s headquarters at Fort Tallduk Zoa just north of Alkantara. According to a statement from the North Alkantara Police Department (NAPD), five demonstrators and two police officers were killed after clashes broke out between law enforcement and demonstrators. NAPD public records indicate that 203 people were arrested at the demonstration, and 172 were transported to medical facilities— with 28 in critical condition.
Local hospitals are overwhelmed with the influx of injured demonstrators, straining medical resources. Dr. Sarya Finn, a trauma surgeon at Alkantara General Hospital, described the situation as “an unprecedented medical crisis,” noting that the facility is operating at full capacity and has called in additional staff to handle the surge.
According to witnesses, NAPD deployed rubber bullets and bean bag rounds while disbursing demonstrators after clashes began. Crowd control experts have said that the use of these measures, while intended to minimize lethal outcomes, can still result in severe and sometimes fatal injuries, especially in large and volatile crowds. Eyewitnesses reported scenes of chaos as demonstrators, some armed with makeshift shields and protective gear, clashed with heavily armed police and militia forces. Tear gas canisters were then fired into the crowd, exacerbating the already tense situation.

A romantic tragedy book named “Blanc” hits the top of the Izaakian best seller charts after receiving rave reviews. The book is a fictionalisation novel of the life, romance and death of President Blanc. The author, Aphelia Blanc, first cousin of President Stella Blanc said “It’s important we keep the memory of our darling Stella alive, and not just her memory but her spirit, she was a true romantic and a once in a generation revolutionary leader”.

A reporter from The Valencia Times has published an eye-opening piece into a potential bribery scandal between executive chief of staff Oscar Navarro and governmental affairs lobbyists at Abanca, a popular bank in Cadiz. The article alleges Navarro took bribes from the lobbyists, which included money, clothing, land, and a sports car, in return for advancing the bank’s interests in the executive office.
Navarro is the top advisor to prime minister and head of state Margarita Solaya.
