RAFI:

On this entry of “Why did I leave my old job for this?”, we cover 4 topics: Joint Service Opening; The ongoing investigation into The AIDs hashmapping of online images; and (both s consequence of the CSDs): Wild-fire in Montacia and Beserns Bill on Narcotics. Importantly, it does not cover the Gulf Crisis, as the HoS has nearly unilaterally declared it to be "Of minimal threat.

The Joint Service: is finally operational. The Forms are given and are now open for all countries and their private entities to fulfill and apply for: Portfolio Investment or buying of Available Invoices; Cross-Cultural Institutes or Student Exchange Programs though the form seems kind of ambiguous; and Security Co-operations. The government also published What initiatives it plans to bring forth. Together, these two thankfully lead nicely into the next topics.

U.S.I. Wild-fire The Grand Duke and Head of State of Nasphilitae (Dawson Ernst), exercising the legal power he holds as the Chief Commander of the Royal Airforce of the Armed Forces of Nasphilitae, has mobilised, within hours seven flights of anti-wildfire helicopters and three tankers…
However, these will be issued to Montacia. The rationale given was that:
"This manifests our readiness for what we’ve described in the CSDs.Importantly, while mobilised and ready, we will wait for approval from the U.S.I. government on combatting the natural disaster.

Narcotics, TPNW and Besern: The Head of HM Cabinet for External Affairs (Quinlan Emmerson) has remarked on a press conference this afternoon that:
“Besern is free to legislate these matters as they wish. They are one of our key strategic allies, as the polls of popularity have clearly shown. To risk partnerships over a mundane policy disagreement is neither practical nor normative for us to pursue.”
He’s also applauded the efforts of Besern in pushing the nuclear de-proliferation efforts.

The Carousel of AID! As I’ve predicted, The AID, when asked by the Plenary Commmittee about the amount of hashed data on different typologogical layers on networks and whether the hashed data actually contains illicit material, had this to say:
"It is impossible to answer these questions. Legally, we are prohibited from cooperating within the AID, due to Sector 9 precedence and restructuring. Even if such restrictions were irrelevant, this is impossible to answer practically.
Namely, due to the sheer number of traffic, packets, data, hashmaps and different cryptographic methods constantly being delivered. Some of which belong to Sector 8 and are used against Sector 9 of the AID, though we believe this will be fixed.

…So how do you manage to have 5 run-off sentences which don’t say anything? The AID never disappoints.

The final polls before tomorrow’s Third Elections of the Fourth Republic of Vrigny have been published. After an intense campaign by some and a pretty underwhelming performance by others, the estimated results for the different political parties are the following:

  1. GPV (Green Party of Vrigny): 46-51%. Despite being the third largest political party since the foundation of the Fourth Republic, the GPV’s city-centered and extremely developed, flexible and idealistic plans and campaign goals have indeed achieved quite an uprise in the party’s popularity. After proposing themselves as the only logical succesor to the SPV’s and LPV’s historic rule over Vrigny, it is clear that only the rule of a party that’s never ruled before can be synonymous with a true Vrignyan democracy.

  2. LPV (Liberal Party of Vrigny): 21-26%. The LPV’s campaign was quite promising at first, as it mainly focused on promising an economic boom in Vrigny’s future. Still, it soon found itself competing in delivering better promises than the GPV, however, it’s clear compliance with the SPV did hurt the party’s reliability, due to the relatively slow process of the country’s stabilization, with very few actual plans being introduced by the LPV’s previous ministers.

  3. ISPfWL (Industrial Syndicalist Party for Worker’s Liberation): 11-13%. The ISPfWL has always been a relatively popular party among Vrignyan industrial workers and miners in the eastern cities and municipalities. Despite having a small rise of popularity in Lifov and south-western Vrigny at a small point in the campaign, its extremist nature possibly made it lose the voters it briefly convinced.

  4. SPV (Socialist Party of Vrigny): 10-11%. The SPV’s has historically been Vrigny’s ruling political party, and has dominated Vrignyan politics since the Second Republic (in the first half of the XX century). The SPV has indeed shaped Vrignyan history, after its surrender to the Ferdinand Lawfen it led to a 60 year long dictatorship, but under covers, it fought against it until it managed to get its rule back in 2014. These last ten years, the SPV has indeed turned Vrigny into a quite liberal and democratic country, however, many think that the SPV has been ruling uninterrumpted for too long. Especially, since the announcement of Erick Vorsen, who many view as “conservative” and “kinda incompetent”, many of the SPV’s faithful voters, even in its home city of Lifov, which has always seen results over 70% in favor of the SPV, is now seeing the GPV even lead in some of the polls conducted.

  5. EVDP (Exterior Vrigny Development Party): 6-9%. Political party mainly supported by rural Vrignyans and farmers, who say Vrigny has forgotten about most of its land. Low amount of votes due to the very small population of rural Vrigny.

  6. PFtA (Party For the Animals): 4-6%. Fringe animal rights party.

  7. CPV (Conservative Party of Vrigny): 2-3%. Lawfenist Restorationists.

  8. R-GL (Red-Grey Legion): 0-1%. Far right.

Tomorrow the elections will take hold. All registered voters will be able to participate at their will, and the winner candidate will be announced after the counting is finished.
