A high-speed train derailment has occurred in the Lifov-Sylce line. Emergency services arrived on scene soon after, with the accident claiming 42 lives so far, with another 253 injuries. While many are blaming the train operator for the accident, it’s probable cause is due to bad conditions of the rail track. This accident only shows the lack of maintenance as well as necessary updating of the Vrignyan railroad grid. Sadly enough for the people affected, as well as their families, said plan to improve the railroads and build new ones has only been announced so far, and is thought to begin in the following two weeks. If only it had started earlier, these lives could have probably been saved.

Gianlucian coast guards have reported, that around 350 Romordian nationals have arrived on Gianlucian beaches or had to be rescued from deflating life boats on their journey over to Gianatla. “Most rescued persons were talking about a fire they fled from, which makes us assume, that all those Romordian nationals have been refugees of the burnt down Efladian refugee camp. They receive medical care now and have partially applied for an asylum status”, a spokesperson said to the press.
Gianatla’s chancellor Sanddorn has offered multiple times in the last few weeks to help alleviate the financial and bureaucratic burden, the refugess impose on countries like Valkyria or Eflad, however it is unclear yet, whether the rescued refugees will be able to stay in Gianatla. The Efladian Foreign Minister confirmed that the washed up Romordians most likely from the refugee camp as 379 people were reported missing and 24 have been found dead. 5 people were rescued. The Foreign Minister said “We wish all the best to them in their new home, especially after such a daring leap for rescue. We offer all our help to Gianatla to accommodate them.”

BREAKING: Confederacy Detains Krauanagazan Citizens in New Year’s Maritime Incident
By Varys Kellorin
Early this morning around 1 am during New Year’s celebrations, a Krauanagazan-flagged private party ship drifted into disputed waters, leading to its detainment by Mitallduk Confederacy forces. The ship, carrying 38 individuals, was surrounded and boarded by naval forces from four Vorodan-class destroyers.
The Mitallduk Confederacy Navy promptly detained the individuals aboard and seized the vessel, citing the incursion into what they consider their “contiguous zone.” A concept which Krauanagazan officials called “unfounded, and illegal.” Communications between the Krauanagazan and Mitallduk governments indicate an ongoing negotiation for the release of the detained citizens.
Krauanaet Zharan’s office reported that 13 of the Krauanagazan citizens have been released, but the fate of the remaining individuals remains uncertain as the Confederacy government has not yet agreed to their return or confirmed their identities.
Secretary of State Darius Korin commented on the incident, stating, “This is a rapidly evolving situation. Both myself and the Krauanaet have spoken with Mitallduk officials and are working to determine the identities of the individuals still being held in Mitallduk custody.”
Korin emphasized the sensitivity of the negotiations and refrained from providing further details. The 12 individuals who have been released are currently under medical evaluation at the National Military Medical Center at Fort Lithin in Luanapríg Vellipriyra Province.
The incident has heightened tensions between the Mitallduk Confederacy and the Krauanagaz Federation, adding a new layer to the longstanding maritime disputes between the two nations. The Krauanagazan government is closely monitoring the situation and has called for a swift and peaceful resolution of the issue.
As negotiations unfold, the fate of the remaining detained citizens hangs in the balance, and the international community watches with bated breath as this maritime dispute continues to evolve. Kraudukra Free News will provide updates as the situation develops.

Zhzoatal’s Controversial ID Law Signed by Gov. Solara Sparking Widespread Protests
By Marik Talos
In a contentious but expected move, the Zhzoatal Provincial Legislature has approved a measure mandating citizens to carry ID cards embedded with GPS tracking to access government services or aid. Governor Vintalla Solara swiftly signed the bill into law, citing efficiency gains and reduced bureaucracy as primary objectives.
However, the controversial law has ignited widespread protests across Zhzoatal Province, with hundreds of thousands taking to the streets in Tatallap, the provincial capital. Many protesters, particularly those of Krautali ethnicity, fear the law could be used to discriminate, and erode privacy rights.
Krauanaet Zharan and other opponents argue that the measure encroaches on citizens’ privacy rights. The Krauanaet emphasizes the importance of protecting personal privacy and asserts that efficient government services can be achieved without compromising individual freedoms.
Governor Solara, in response to the protests, has reportedly activated the Zhzoatal Provincial Militia, deploying them to areas with major demonstrations. Tatallap, Tadukgaz, Zhanagaz, and Krauayyagaz are among the locations where the militia is said to be deploying to enforce order. Although no Militia units have been spotted on the ground as of press time.
Large-scale protests are also unfolding in the national capital, Yayyára. However, Governor Solara has no jurisdiction in Yayyára, as it falls under the direct authority of the Krauanaet through the Military District of Yayyára.
As tensions escalate, the Krauanaet calls for restraint, dialogue, and respect for citizens’ rights. The situation remains fluid, and further developments are expected as the province grapples with the implications of this controversial legislation.
The USI increases its refugee visas cap for Romordians from 300,000 to 400,000. In order to house the refugees the government has rapidly increased the pace of building in the new City of Blancopolis. The city of Blancopolis is being built with wooden framework to cutdown on carbon emissions and become the worlds first low carbon city.
Kraudukra Free News: According to KFN sources at the protests the Zhzoatal Provisional Militia has been deployed and they are moving towards areas of “unrest” in Tatallap, Tadukgaz, Zhanagaz, and Krauayyagaz. According to KFN correspondents, the protests are largely peaceful demonstrations. Although there have been several altercations between law enforcement and several protestors in Tatallap earlier today. Overall Zhzoatal authorities report they have detained 9,917 individuals in connection with today’s demonstrations. Very few have been charged with a crime, however law enforcement may detain individuals for up to 36 hours without charge, but with proper cause. Stay with KFN as we continue to cover these massive protests into the night.

In his New Year Message to the nation, Prime Minister Walton has told the nation that the Government are getting down to business this year and are not messing about, that he is not going to be swapping roles with Deputy Prime Minister Garcia this year.
In a press conference, Deputy Prime Minister Garcia clarified the Prime Minister’s statements. He said that the Government did get down to business in 2023 but that the knowledge that there would be a new Prime Minister towards the end of the year dominated more in Government business than it should have or needed to and the assurance that there will be no further change in Prime Minister this year eliminates the possibility of a third year in a row where this change dominates Government business. He was, however, critical of the Prime Minister’s language, saying that for himself and the Prime Minister to swap places was not them messing about, in fact, it was staying loyal to promises made between himself and the Prime Minister following the October 2022 General Election. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Prime Minister should be more careful with the language he uses in the future.
Deputy Prime Minister Pearson has responded to Deputy Prime Minister Garcia’s remarks at today’s press conference stating that the Prime Minister is both a young Prime Minister and serving as Prime Minister for the first time, that Garcia was young once and made mistakes and so he should be more supportive of the Prime Minister than unsupportive.
Deputy Prime Minister Garcia has responded to Deputy Prime Minister Pearson’s response stating that he thinks he is supportive and he cannot see how the Prime Minister will learn the easy way. He said if the Prime Minister cannot learn a hard lesson from himself, he will have even harder lessons to learn from the public.
Mister Speaker Philip Horn has said he has a good feeling about this year’s politics. He said that the new Prime Minister is already showing that he is a strong leader. He said he can also imagine the President getting on well with the Prime Minister.
