During the current Siege of Mašinci, a Jakubian volunteer fighter was confirmed dead via gunshot wound. Bonifacy Trzebiatowski, also known as “Marysson”, was a combat veteran from Pustelnik, Jakub who joined the JDSW when the international branch was reformed.
Trzebiatowski And his platoon were responding to where they believed a large infantry force was when they were detected by another unit and ambushed. Trzebiatowski and his platoon had caused the enemy unit to flee, but Trzebiatowski had taken five shots to the chest and required evacuation, so the platoon retreated, but upon arrival at a local field hospital, Trzebiatowski was confirmed dead.
The JDSW claims to be actively returning the body of Trzebiatowski to Jakub for his burial.
