After several consecutive weeks of being very publicly reminded by Corlansan rights activists outside of the Grand Venacia Palace in Bitanga— the Chancellor-regent’s residence. Chancellor-regent Zephon gave approval for the report to be released. Zephon campaigned on working to bring this costly and drawn-out conflict to an overdue conclusion. More on this is expected tomorrow afternoon, as the Chancellor-regent is expected to address the citizens of the Federation live on primetime.

Report on Human Rights Abuses and War Crimes in the Corlaans and Corlansa Regions
The Office of Human Rights is commissioned to study human rights abuses in Greater Lutezzik and Keyli. The objective of this report is to investigate and report on any and all human and civil rights violations in Greater Esserix, respectively Corlaans and Corlansa. In an ongoing investigation beginning in 1970 the most recent findings are as follows:
- The OHR concludes that from 2000-2019 an additional 140,000 civilians have been killed.
- The OHR concludes that from 2000-2019 an additional 11,291 Corlansan Defense Forces have been killed or wounded.
- The OHR concludes that from 2000-2019 an additional 9,392 Corlaani forces have been killed or wounded.
- The OHR estimates that another 75,300 ethnic Corlansans have been executed from 2000-2019.
Overall the casualties inflicted in the conflict between Corlansa and Corlaans have been costly. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have flooded into surrounding Esseraki provinces, and Federation territories. The Esserix Defense Department has been tracking the casualties in the conflict since 1950. The following are the findings:
- The Defense Department estimates that 305,000 civilians have been killed or injured from 1950-2019.
- The Defense Department finds that 95,682 Corlansan Defense Forces have been killed or injured from 1950-2019.
- The Defense Department finds that 88,610 Corlaani forces have been killed or injured from 1950-2019.
- The Defense Department estimates that 475,300 ethnic Corlansans have been executed.

The Ministry of Justice has officially opened an investigation into the executive campaign of Mariano Casado, and his failure to report financial receipts during the primary election. A spokesperson from the Casado campaign called it a “politically motivated attack” and “attempting to pave a smooth path for ally Margarita Solaya.” The Solaya campaign is yet to comment on the matter.

BREAKING: Moments ago Chancellor-regent Zephon delivered a statement to the press in Federal Hall, informing the public of a military operation that began last night inside the Conflict Region. The ethnic cleansing campaign being conducted has failed to be halted by numerous Esseraki Chancellors and Federation Chancellors-regent. The Federation Council has received heavy criticism from the Esseraki and Anssonian delegates for failure to continue efforts to bring this genocide to an end. Esseraki Chancellors have struggled for decades with the Conflict Region.
The period between 1954 and 1978 in Esseraki history was marked by significant turmoil and strife, primarily centered around the Corlaans Conflict. Fareek Hynes, the Chancellor during the initial years, faced challenges related to issues such as terrorism, border security, and an influx of refugees from Corlaans and Corlansa. The rise of extremist groups and the mistreatment of ethnic Corlansans in Corlaans exacerbated tensions between the regions. Chancellor Hynes took measures to address the growing crisis, but his term was tragically cut short when he was assassinated. Jessica Reed succeeded him, becoming the first woman Chancellor of Esserix.
The conflict escalated further as Corlansa accused Corlaans of genocide and called on Esserix, and the Federation to intervene. Chancellor Reed eventually ordered Esseraki forces to enter Corlaans to investigate and put an end to the alleged killings. This led to the discovery of large facilities holding people captive, sparking investigations into war crimes and crimes against humanity. The recent troubling findings revealed the scale of the atrocities against ethnic Corlansans, with estimates suggesting over 250,000 were killed from 1949 to 1967 alone. As tensions persisted, protests and riots erupted when the rebel President Gurchshe established a Corlaani military stronghold in the Corlaans region.
Further acts of terrorism, including bombings at Esseraki naval installations, further intensified the conflict. Notably, two cars with bombs crash the gate at Naval Station Hashan and detonated. The explosions started a fire in a barrack causing further deaths and destruction. 21 Esseraki and Federation sailors were killed and another 54 were injured. New Corlaan claimed responsibility for the attack, citing the base is on sovereign territory.
This move by Zephon indicates a new policy towards the Conflict Region. Previously Chancellors-regent allowed the Esseraki Chancellor to take the lead on this situation, however it seems that Chancellor-regent Zephon is exercising the office’s wide executive powers to work to bring an end to this calamity. The Chancellor-regent has pushed back his scheduled address to tomorrow evening, but offered no comment as to why the delay was necessary.

The Battle for Caeloria
In a rapidly developing story, Caeloria has become the site of an intense urban battle between Federation Civil Defense (FCD) forces and entrenched Corlaani fighters. Gunfire and explosions fill the air as both sides fight tenaciously for control of the strategic city.

The Dacian Parliament has repealed the Vasile-Ion Act.
The Vasile-Ion Act was a law enacted back in 2022, by the Dacian government which regulated same-sex marriage to keep it to a minimum, in an attempt to keep Dacian culture and tradition alive. Due to a change in parties and party leaders, the act had been approved to be repealed by 72% of the parliament in a vote at 8 PM UTC.

In the wake of the sudden illnesses in Kliegme, Members of Union Package Service have denied any and all allegations of mishandling parcels shipped abroad from their warehouses. A spokesperson for the company stated, “The Union Package Service extends their sympathies to those who have gotten sick after receiving one of our packages. However, the Union is not responsible for the contents of the packages involved no matter how potentially hazardous since that is between the customer and receiver. The Union has reason to believe that customers from abroad have been abusing the TCC’s lax shipping laws regarding potentially hazardous materials and have fallen ill after misusing said materials. The Kliegmean governments decision to shut down parcel deliveries from the TCC is a slap in the face to honest hardworking logistics workers who tirelessly work to ensure that the customer’s package arrives in a reasonable time frame. The Union calls upon our representatives in the TCG to sort this mess out and ensure that Kliegmeans no longer abuse our laws for their benefit and to allow continued deliveries between our two brotherly nations.”

The Kliegmean Ambassador to Termina has clarified that it does not place blame on Termina, but it deems the current measures to be a “necessary and temporary evil”. It has been revealed that the restrictions on parcels from Termina will be lifted as soon as possible, if not immediately after the origins of the problematic parcels have been identified.
However, the Union’s denial of mishandling their wares are faced with an unconvinced audience, as preliminary results show that for all packages siezed during investigations, the name of the recipient and the phone number written on the parcel were invalid, and the sender was not properly marked, and in some cases, left blank.
Police are looking into the possibility of a “brushing scam,” in which sellers at online shopping platforms send unordered products to people after illegally acquiring personal information. The scam is aimed at boosting sales and manipulating sellers’ ratings on online shopping sites.

The Anti-Secession Act has been passed by the Nicholas and Great British parliament. The act prohibits any region that Nicholas and Great Britain recognises as belonging to Nicholas and Great Britain from breaking away and forming an independent state. The act also states that if a region attempts to secede, peaceful methods must be used to stop that region from being independent. However, the act states that if peaceful methods do not work, Nicholas and Great Britain may use non-peaceful methods.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs have announced that there will be reforms regarding the police, as the current system of each oblast having an independent law enforcement lead to corruption between the local police and the locals. Vocalist Shifinixi “Hai” Kasunahuah, who finished 4th place in FiHami’s newest hit television series “Idola FiHami”, released a controversial new song in FiHami and international markets (FiHami’s song length is 10:34, international is 4:49)
Titled “Starry”, the songs lyrics on the surface seem to be the sun and stars fighting and chasing the night away forever. However, fans have interpreted the sun to mean the Finixi people and the stars the Antarchi, and “chase the night away” lyric to represent the disintegration of common decency, respect, and peace.
In the FiHami version’s music video, during the various instrumental sections of the song some of the dance steps seem to imply human-on-human hatred, rather than the traditional usage of spirit-on-spirit hatred that most traditional Finixi dancers would have used. Many fans of both Kasunahuah and traditional Finixi dances pointed out the difference as being “subtle”, but “enough to spread the true message of the song via dance alone.”
“If that weren’t enough, the choice of a Finixi dancer representing the sun and several Antarchi actors to dance as the stars cannot have been pure coincidence” Laments “ex-fan” Laura Hastofi, wearing a special-release t-shirt featuring Kasunahuah’s “Virtual Streamer” character on a surfboard for the vocalist’s first-ever live performance last year. “If Hai is trying to make us sympathetic to the people who oppressed us for so long, I want nothing more to do with Hai.”
