OMASO DIRECTORATE — SINCLAIR, Protesters take to the streets today as the unpopular General Assembly Appropriations Bill for the Fiscal Year 1274 is set to pass the General Assembly. The bill would provide a hefty increase to Defense Spending, specifically a clause that would allow the Omaso Star Navy to work with the Voidsea Patrol and provides funding to purchase 1,500 Amaryllis Class Light Cruisers, 2,500 Feverfew Patrol Carriers, and is expected to make an offer to purchase mothballed VF-12 ‘Pixie’ Light Fighters from the Vandalence Compact. The military funding comes at cost though, as it’s expected that the Directorate’s Universal Basic Income Program will expire as a result, as there is no provision for its replacement. Around 2.3 billion citizens and legal aliens rely on UBIP to stay above the poverty line, and is one of the most popular measures imposed during the Sundering.
Supporters of the bill argue that with the rising piracy threat and the proximity to Serene Swords Republic make defense spending a priority, less the nation become a hostage to pirates and other states. Critics claim that losing the Universal Basic Income would cause those on the bottom rungs to be unable to climb up to a comfortable living. Unionist Party Spokesman Charlie Pontifact told the Journal, “Destroying the Universal Basic Income Program would be detrimental to our citizens while providing an unnecessary boost to outsourcing our military technology from other powers.” He told us that instead of purchasing military systems from foreign powers, the Omaso Directorate should look inward and start investing in their own Defense Sector and that the Unionist Party was looking to compromise on that ground.

Uncertain developments near the Otmoonan-Treecuu border. Otmoonan authorities and media remain cautious in their assessment of the border incidents mentioned in Treecuu media, likely attempting not to escalate the situation. They however decline any military build-up along the Treecuu border and have iterated their preparedness for diplomatic talks. The Treecuu side is even more silent, save for the state-affiliated media outlet the Treecuu Well that presents the Otmoonans as aggressors.

PRESIO IMPERIUM — PRESIDA, Celebrations kick off as the independence day dawns. The celebrations last two days, starting with parade through Presida’s Historical District and ending with the mock swear in of the nation’s figurehead Queen, Courtney Presio, an Orionite Specialist Officer who started a revolt against the previous government due to high levels of corruption and heavy political polarization.
The Consolidated Assembly met for the first time today after elections brought in the first 250 delegates and 125 senators. The Presidency remains unfilled, with an emergency election taking place this March, with the swear in set to occur in July.

In a newly-founded military alliance with the Treecuu Star Empire, the Confluence of Empires hereby declares a war of liberation on the Otmoonan Pentarchy. The entirety of the enslaved population will be rescued and brought to the Confluence, chosen by the slaves to be their new home in freedom. To eliminate all chances of such a deplorable situation repeating in the region, destitution of the Otmoonan Pentarchy as a nation will be the primary objective of the war.

Trianarö ships have been reported being concentrated in Mekagrul, on the border with Calerost, near the Treecuu Star Empire. Both the Edhel and Treecuu governments have been informed of this. It seems to mostly be a defensive measure for both the Imperium and Calerost in the event that the conflict spills over.
In addition, Trianar has warned both the Confluence and Treecuu that any military ships that enter Trianarö territory, unless under some sort of critical distress, will be treated as enemies and will be destroyed, with zero tolerance. When asked about the war, Imperö Penma Alkatrition stated that she prays that “All demonkind is eradicated from the stars,” and that if the Otmoonans cannot be re-educated, they should be “burnt on a pyre built of their sins.”

Military ships violating the Compact National Defense Identification Zone (CNDIZ) and Seraphim Defense Identification Zone (SDIZ) will be subject to disablement and destruction if they violate or attempt to overfly Vandalence or Seraphim Territory.

VANDALENCE COMPACT — TAKAEO, First Minister Ellie Loavao has summoned the Seraphim, Denvari, Yukian, Twila, Commonwealth, and Calerostan ambassadors to the First Minister’s Retreat in Takaeo. The press is currently being assembled outside as it’s reported that Loavao will take questions after the non-scheduled summit. It remains unknown why the six ambassadors were all summoned together.

Following a tradition of speed and efficiency, the Lexia Corthos has already voted on whether the Confluence of Empires will be allowed to pass through TwAs space as part of their liberation war. Corridors of space have been designated for the Confluence’s ships to travel through, should it desire to use them, but any intrusions into the territory outside of the designated channels will be seen as an act of malicious non-compliance and said vessel(s) will be escorted back to the Confluence.
Furthermore, any vessels caught attempting to transport liberated slaves through TwAs space before a legitimate referendum can be held will be charged with kidnapping and immediately detained.
The Twilight Ascendancy has agreed to the Vandalence Compact’s summons, although no official comment has been made on what it can expect after its arrival.

Calerostan military high command joins in on Trianar’s statement, declaring that all non-covenant military ships are to be barred from entering the star empire under threat of being fired on, except if given explicit permission from high command. The readiness state of the rapid response fleets has been raised, with them being ready to VIV jump to any system in the empire in 3 minutes.

Questions ranged from her proposed tax reform to her Fleet Admirals plan for a ‘1,000,000 Ship Navy.’ When asked about the unplanned meeting, she said, “For now, I can’t divulge on what was discussed, but I can assure you that the meeting was productive and I will have to schedule a meeting [with the Compact Congress] in camera.”

Celianor fleetyards, the biggest shipbuilder in the Gil-Atarnië and notably the main shipbuilder of the calerostan navy since even before the mirial war, has announced a significant breakthrough in starbreak technology, the so called lottenian array. More advanced than the traditional racellian array, used to achieve starbreak on all starbreakers untill now, it promises multiple advantages, notably including the possiblity of miniaturization of starbreakers, with the theoretical minimum diameter of the array being 5km, compared to the racelian’s 12km. Celianor fleetyards though reminds that the theoretical minumum is just that, theoretical, and that the practical minimum for the racelian array was 15km, the size of the Aernaul-class starbreaker, suggesting that a practical minimum for the new array could be around 10km. Nevertheless this marks a massive leap in the long staggering field and brings the idea of the “pocket starbreaker” closer to reality.

43.2 million military units have been deployed in the recent occupation of planet Doolven in the Saotaan system, a highly-urbanized and industrialized world of the Otmoonan Pentarchy. More than 27 million slaves have been freed from the planet, and have arrived to their dedicated habitats in the Verchessen dyson sphere, where they are beind guided by specialized caretakers during their re-integration into civilized, interstellar society.
Pancaker rounds were used during the recent invasion of the vast military production complexes and defense bases on the world of Valtaanoo, third major moon of the gas giant Tocitee, resulting in the flattening of most of the moon's northernmost continent. Orbital superiority has been reached, and 12.5 million military units have been deployed on multiple sub-orbital fronts, with another 9 million to arrive in two days. Current simulations show that surrender will be declared by the lunar authorities in four to six days.
A combined offensive of Treecuu and Confluence warships have reported a major victory in the Cicaan system. Little to no casualties were reported, and almost all crewmembers and onboard passengers of the Otmoonan fleet have been captured and escorted as prisoners of war to the allied military base in the Orvoo system.

The decommissioning of the “Devil’s Ring” Antechamber has been completed following a series of temporal oddities experienced by travelers. The remains of the ancient structure are currently under intensive study, but some have been quick to point at its antique nature as the culprit.

Trianarö forces drove off a band of pirates which were approaching a star system previously unsurveyed by the TIF. When the Trianarö entered the system, they discovered a new form of sapient life that inhabited a planet there- by intercepting communications from the planet, they discovered that they are called Synastara. They are a plant-race with one hermaphroditic sex, resembling human females aside from being made of plant matter. They are in what humans would consider the Atomic age- although all of their nuclear weapons have been decommissioned- and have very basic space surveying technologies, so Trianarö forces have been advised to stay out of the system to prevent alarming them.
As is general Trianarö primitive protocol, the Synastara are not to be interfered with unless an outside threat threatens them or an internal threat threatens the entire species, like a disease or nuclear rearmament leading to nuclear war.
Survey stations are being built on systems at least 50 light years away from their planet to prevent immediate discovery. Trianarö scientists project that due to extremely rapid development and high Safarkran reserves on their planet, the Synastara will achieve FTL within that timeframe anyways.
In other news, Trianar has seen an uptick in advanced pirates as of late. Some believe that piracy at large will go up in the Sector as the Otmoonan pentarchy is destroyed and pirates look to go capture slaves rather than to buy and sell them “legally” from and to slave-holding nations. Many also suspect subversive elements from the Dokavian Grand Amassment are playing into this, trying to weaken the states near them. Some analysts have already taken to calling the new pirates “Privateers,” although direct connection to the Amassment is not yet proven.

In light of the recent news of the Confluence taking freed slaves back to its capital region, the Twilight Ascendancy has revoked its offer of allowing Confluence ships to travel through its territory and has cut diplomatic ties indefinitely. The Lexia Corthos reaffirmed its desire to see an end to slavery everywhere, but those words came with a warning:
“It is not the choice of liberators to decide what becomes of those newly freed from the bonds of servitude, they have a right to self determination that anyone who truly values them would respect. It is the position of this nation that the Confluence of Empires has had no way to confirm that the entire enslaved population of the Ontmoonan Pentarchy desires to relocate halfway across the sector to its borders, as it has claimed, and as such we have no reason to believe that these 27+ million slaves had any real say in the matter. It is not liberation to put your desires for freed persons over their own, that is simply giving a slave a new master. We shall not stand for it”

The journey, expected to take just under a day and a half, follows the Seraphim’s Ambassador being summoned by the Twilight Ascendency, and Calerostan Officials approval for a military presence in the area.

The reinforcement fleet arrived in orbit of Valtanoo on the 10th of June ((STANDARD HOURS - 14:26)), deploying an additional 9 million military units. Following said deployment, imperial legions pushed the front lines forward to occupy and maintain control over 78% of the planet’s surface. More than 613 million slaves were rescued from the production complexes, and 26 million enemy soldiers were successfully captured and detained as prisoners of war. Seventeen thermonuclear exchanges occurred along the eastern fringes of the region surrounding Valtanoo’s central administration headquarters, resulting in the loss of 2.1 million military units and 975.000 enemy losses. As of today ((STANDARD HOURS - 22:14)), planetary authorities have yet to declare surrender, and have been given 12 standard hours to do so before warships in orbit begin targeting the administrative headquarters and the surrounding region.
Treecuu sub-orbital troops have begun planetary occupation on the major world of Tanime, after a joint contingent of Treecuu-Confluence warships defeated the local Otmoonan defense fleet and obtained orbital superiority above the planet. Planetary authorities and members of the military have been detained and escorted to allied territory as prisoners of war. Approximately 128 million slaves have so far been rescued, with many more millions currently being gathered and brought to the designated rescue areas. Additionally, 26 sapient AIs previously contained within a high-security military base have been liberated and brought to the Cybercosm.
