Great War Reworks (and minor stuff)

  1. I have a question: which might help aid in resolving some issues. As a neutral country; would NPE claiming plot #001 help close this loop or create more questions?

  1. I have a series of answers on: Why is Nasphilitae neutral, with everything going on around it?
Because it makes sense. (Warning: long, spoilers, 5+1 reasons).
  1. The Junta rules with General Walt Marcel from 1930. to 1962.
Darzens (1901-1928) passed two legislations allowing for this weird limbo of interest groups struggling for power: Charter Establishing the Agency for Information and Documentation (1905), and the Constitutional Instrument Permitting Civilian Armament (1911).
Yes, this will all eventually be RP’d.

  2. The Junta utilizes ontological insecurities.
As communications with the Austral Empire deteriorate due to the distance, the zeitgeist of militarism Cross-Ocean, and other actors begin playing a more crucial role.
This allows them to enact mandatory draft for the population in 1935. Dorothy’s (1851-1900) economic reformation provide them for enough to create an encapsulated, domestic MIC.

  3. Since it was still in this weird Commonwealth Status with Austra until 1951. (Hai’Men and Sedunns situation), and no longer formally since 1952. (corresponding to events on Crabry that summer).

  4. The interest groups of the Civil War (1953-1962): The Junta, The Nobility, the Unionists, the Industrialists, the AID; All exist prior to the actual confrontations of either the Civil War or the Great War.
This has been partially RP’d already. These interest groups still exist. They’ve existed since the 17th century.

  5. None of them want to compromise their potential future outcome by outside cooperation.

  1. While the Civil War (1953-1962) will be conditionally, somewhat open for participation; I consider this part of the Iron Century.

I don’t think that NPE having that plot affects Kliegme’s role in the GW. Also, having that plot makes it harder for NPE not getting invaded.

Makes sense. But also, neutrality isn’t always up to oneself. For example there could be scenarios where Karnetvor would have contemplated invading, which would have forced NPE out of neutrality. So there would have to be reasons why they, or others, didn’t. Maybe like Sweden or Swtizerland.

I’m asking for NPE not so much Kliegme, but that answers my question, albeit sadly.

I know. However, as mentioned on the Crabry channel, this require going into the lore of like 75% of Crabrys Austral-speaking population; Something I’d rather not have to deal with either right now or alone.

One deterrent could’ve been a chain reaction of having to deal with NAGB - Esfalsa - NPE - Jakubs portion of the continent, which just seems like an additional headache not worth much.

Thought I’d finally decided to respond to this

So, the Denvari Alliance(Emerald, Denver, Spiras, and Cimbria)(Basically the 1.0 version of the Starhawk Pact) would be neutral for the first year of the war(1949), and aside from the Faroe Incident, not much would occur except some possible aid packages being sent to the Allies(most likely the TCC and those at war with the Frankists). This of course all changes in 1950 when the Frankists invade Cimbria and New Emral, taking out most of the DA’s Naval Assets in Cordilia. Then in 1951, Karnetvor attacks Copenhagen(The most probable reason is too take out Emeraldian Naval Power before they inevitably fully join against Karnetvor), sinking a Carrier, a Battlecruiser, a Destroyer, a Frigate, and a Sub. This of course doesn’t exactly do much, with the major exception being the loss of ERNS Joshua I (CV-15), as it had only been in commission for 3 months by that point. Now, the Denvari Alliance is at war with Karnetvor, with Army and Naval Assets being diverted to Termina and the Central Islands respectively. I would also like to suggest Emerald playing a part in the invasion of what is Irkiya alongside the Ryccians. By 1952/3 the Denvari Alliance would be gearing up for a liberation campaign of Cimbria and New Emral(and most likely would be joined by Stoinia and possibly Sedunn). I would also like to suggest Emerald mass producing convoy and transport vessels for the Allies to use to keep up with losses(think of the IRL Liberty and Victory Ships). Also, @Qwert is there a possibility for Commander Raven and a Sedunnic Equivalent planning out the invasion of the Tasternine Islands, using Emeraldian and Sedunnic Paratroopers before making a proper naval landing?

Losing a carrier, a battlecruiser, a destroyer, a frigate, and a sub does sound like a significant loss though (considering the total population and relative power of the Denvari Alliance).

Anyway, Sedunn would be happy to procure convoy and transport vessels from Emerald. Sedunn would also likely participate in the liberation of Cimbria. And that airborne campaign sounds good.

@Ryccia should probably answer regarding Irykia.

Hey guys. I asked about it in the discussion channel, and Frost redirected me here.

Anyways, I wanted to ask if Kustannuksa could be one of the non-belligerents on the side of the Allies, providing economic and humanitarian aid to the rest of the allied nations.

Let me know.

Sure!

Lovely! Thank you.

I initially thought about more involvement, but I didn’t want to mess up the timeline too much, ahah.

Not really? By that time, the ERN had 8 Carriers(having lost the ERNS Andrika (CV-06) in Cimbria), the true loss was the fact that the ERNS Joshua I was practically brand new.

Looking at Emerald’s population back then I though that it might not have had the ability to support such a large navy where the loss of a carrier and a battlecruiser wouldn’t matter that much.

Oh, trust me, it did hurt a lot(I’m just saying the attack could’ve been a lot worse in terms of losses)

Unrelated to the above. I was thinking about the start of the war (in the Sub-Capricorn). The reason for Karnetvor invading Termina was to secure land and resources to deal with their overpopulation problems and also to get larger ports in the South Pacific Ocean to support further expansion and safeguarding supply lines. As such, their invasions would have been planned and prepared for for some time, but Karnetvor would have been concerned about it being seen as a just cause. That’s why they would take the chance to justify their invasion after the (rather popular) crown prince was murdered. This would have had them rush their plans and forego some preparations, and it would have caught some of their allies off guard, meaning they wouldn’t have had time to consolidate.

Some nations would have bought the justifications (especially dominion subjects), while others like Sedunn and Ryccia wouldn’t. This would also explain Tekarai’s ill-advised rush to through the Med.

Thoughts?

Castemura
In 1949, Castemura was still part of the Stoinian Empire and was divided into the Captaincy-Generals of San Antonio and Aracemia. Miguel Serrano and the National Syndicalost Union (USN) were one of the local pro-independence parties and advocated for the overthrow of the Captaincy-Generals and the establishment of a national syndicalist haven in Cordilia (imagine them like the FE de la JONS and Serrano like Primo de Rivera). After the FS invaded, USN would be open to working with the FS in return for FS support in achieving USN’s dream. Miguel Serrano would be put in charge of the Castemuran territories and form the Junta of the National Syndicalist Offensive (JONS) as the governing body of the Castemuran territories. Serrano and his goons would be kicked out sometime in 1953 (maybe part of Operation Trinitas) and the territory became Stoinian again before it was granted independence in 1958

Struania
In 1938, the Struanian National Unity Party (SNUP) won the general election and became the dominant political party in the country after decades of political violence after the end of the Struanian Kingdom. Antonjo Rajko and the SNUP (imagine them like Ante Pavelic and the Ustase) began dismantling the democratic institutions that existed in Struania post-Kingdom era and turned the country into a totalitarian regime. In the 40s, it communicated its intentions to link up with Karnetvor through an invasion of South Cordilia (something like a Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact that divides South Cordilia into spheres of influences). When the war started, Struania sent forces to aid in Karnetvor’s invasion of Termina in the form of the Red Division (similar to the Spanish Blue Division but with an air contingent) as well as possible elements of the Struanian Armada. In 1952 as part of the Imperialist invasion of Huawan, the Struanian Land Forces launched Operation Nora to invade Huawan via land and open up a second front. By 1954 the front was collapsing and the Struanians dug in to their fortifications along the Struanian-Huawan border known as the Duma Line (named after the minister of defence Gordon Duma). Despite the fierce resistance, Allied forces began successfully pushing the Struanians out of the first defenses of the Duma Line and were pushed deeper into the Struanian Heartland. One final offensive was done in the North through the Gaspari river known as the Gaspari Offensive in mid 1954 which succeeded in temporary stalling the Allied invasion. With Karnetvor’s collapse in February, the Allies began encroaching to the capital city of Saras. By March, the city was fully cut off from the rest of the country. Protector Rajko was killed during the fighting by disgruntled Sarasians and was hanged in the city center. Members of his cabinet fled to the port of Kosjevo and from there founded a government-in-exile abroad. Remaining elements of the SNUP’s government continued to operate until April, with its final capital city being Sjonder. There, the remnants of the shattered Struanian War Forces and the SNUP under Deputy-Protector Kris Kjeros surrendered to the allies

@ikonen @qwert @karnetvor

I’m ok with this, since Struania would probably be pretty supportive of Karnetvor eiher way

The JONS of Castemura is somewhat similar to maybe Slovakia or Bohemia-Moravia during WW2

Is it too late for me to involve ateemara in the great war? I still need to work out some history but Karnetvor would probably be considered a major threat by it

How would the Welgrund regime fit with Karnetvorian rush to declare war.

Sounds good concerning Karnetvor. Ikonen should share his thoughts as well.

It’s not too late (though it’s not possible changing the general outcome of the war).

Ateemara would also likely have to deal with what Huawan was up to. Do you have any specific events/ideas i mind?

I wasn’t aware that the Welgrund regime was directly affected by Karnetvor’s agression. Could you elaborate?
