yeah, since iirc most of the plot was COE
You guys are looking at this like it’s a game. We’re here to RP and make stories in this setting, and ultimately things like population are background information in most of these RPs. We can talk for months about what an appropriate “cap” would be, or we can just say “no cap” and go with my original suggestion where people have to apply with their population number and anything else we determine needs to be monitored. Then, to answer your question, Legend, we can require new RPers to make their country’s wiki page—it doesn’t have to be full, just an infobox and some of the lead—before they can get on the map. Then, they know exactly what their population is, and we can keep track of any changes they decide to make and reset them if they didn’t get the proper mod approval beforehand.
This plan works, unfortunately in the nicest way possible, our mod isn’t very active. We need more moderators, honestly
That sounds terribly restrictive tbh, any time there’s a significant time jump people are going to need permission to change their populations as well
i would offer to it, but i doubt that i would be very impartial or that i have much time
Since I’m not planning on coming back to the canon anymore, I could. I’d definitely be impartial, since I wouldn’t have any “stakes” in it.
But that’s for the other moderators to decide.
And to be honest, I doubt you people would even consent to me being a moderator. So we’ll see, but I doubt I’ll be the one filling the position.
You do have stakes in this, though. Your Partner is a RPer in this universe
Storm, respectfully speaking I’m more than glad to call out my partner if he does things I find unfair. As I have done with you in the past, so can I do now.
i understand the concern, however, i like my roleplay to be independent and i think i will be going again for the underdog with my new one, even if just a bit more relevant internationally
also its hard for me to take advantage of caps of any sort when i go for 1 “person” as population lol
me when I do the ‘gestalt consciousness’ tech rush in Stellaris in a nutshell /s
The best idea would be to just do away with the idea that this is a game and drive that point home in the guide. That way we can just set up some basic RP rules (don’t godmod, don’t make yourself super mega overpowered, don’t be a dick, etc.) and get everything back up and running.
