There has been a seconded motion to confirm the appointment of @Welly as the Chair of the Assembly, for a term expiring on October 1st. The debate topic can be found here.

This is a vote on a standard resolution. According to the Legislative Procedure Act, this vote shall require a majority greater than 50% to pass. The voting period will be 3 days, thus concluding on Saturday, July 5th.

The text of the resolution in question is as follows:

July 2025 Chair Resolution

A resolution to choose Welly as Chair of the Assembly

WHEREAS, the term of the incumbent Chair is approaching its conclusion on July 1, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Welly assumed the responsibilities of Chair following the resignation of Nwahs; and

WHEREAS, the Assembly formally elected Welly as Chair on June 4, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Assembly believes that they should be afforded the opportunity to complete a full term of service.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY:

That @Welly is hereby elected to serve as Chair of the Assembly until October 1, 2025 4:00 PM.
