The text of this resolution is as follows:

January 2024 Chair Resolution

A resolution to adopt BlockBuster2K43 as Chair of the Assembly

Whereas the Assembly has been empowered to adopt its Chair by resolution upon the changes stemming from the passage of A2401.01;

Whereas the Assembly recognises the noble achievements BlockBuster2K43 has already accomplished as its current outgoing Chair, and Deputy Chair before that;

Whereas the Legislative Procedure Act only provides for a term of service of no more than 12 months;

Whereas the Assembly recognises the importance of allowing the terms of both the Chair and Prime Minister to end synchronously, and of maintaining a similar length of term to previous Chairs;

Resolved by the Assembly that BlockBuster2K43 is hereby adopted as Chair of the Assembly until 2024-10-31T23:59:00Z.
