I wish to request leniency; I have been slightly inactive on NS recently and was also expecting an announcement of some sort to signal the start of the election. Thus, I would like to request that it be required that every election is announced on Discord, as one would expect.

Yet the actual beginning of the election was not announced. I see that as a massive failure on the governments part to provide adequate notice on the beginning of the voting period. Apparently, it is quite important to notify citizens of declarations and debates, but not of the utmost importance to notify them of the vote? (Sorry for the fit, but I do find this extremely odd.)

A broader discussion on the subject is suited for another topic, perhaps the Assembly or NS Discussion Center, but all I will add onto here is that the government does not have a formal policy on pinging for elections, and I personally will only ping for the start of nominations.
