The South Seas Gazette - September 2026

Dear Readers,

I am pleased to be bringing you the September 2026 edition of The South Seas Gazette (now 100% more on-time than last month’s!).

This was an interesting month for the region; most notably, we had shake-ups at the top of both the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Integration. The announcements regarding these moves can be found here for the former, and here for the latter. Both of these happened so suddenly, and so late in the month, that they are not getting their own dedicated articles here. But rest assured, both vacancies have been promptly filled, with government veteran Peoples Guerilla Armed Coalition (Shots/Jay) taking-over as MoC, and none other than yours truly filling the MoI role (pending Assembly confirmation). Through this relative uncertainty, though, both ministries have continued to function well, in large part thanks to the incredible hard work of their respective teams of dedicated contributors.

Beyond that, we had N-Day, Theme Thursdays, and more, which will be covered throughout this edition. And to add to the reader experience, we have an interview with the current Chair of the Assembly, longtime government official (and bonafide TSP legend) KrisKringle; dueling ice cream and pie reviews; and further editions of both the “From the Coral Guard” and “Resident Spotlight” series. For all of this, massive credit must, as always, go to the authors and other contributors, who make TSSG possible thanks to their hard work and immense effort. And, of course, to you, the reader, for giving our work purpose.

So now, my friends, it is time to dive into the September 2026 edition of The South Seas Gazette. Enjoyment may not be mandatory, but it certainly helps; what would you be doing here otherwise?

Best,
-Aidenfieeld/DivineOwl
Editor, Deputy Minister of Culture
