Keylo-Izaakian Foreign Secretary Fifi DePfeffel denies misuse of the Foreign Aid budget, and claims the alleged money spent on pro-STPG marketing would have come from another agency within the Foreign Office, if such an agency were to exist, which it doesn’t, which is immaterial as the alleged moneys existence, for an alleged marketing campaign, can neither be confirmed nor denied, although it most certainly doesn’t exist, and the marketing campaign never happened.

Qaweritoyu was officially classed as a Socialist state ten minutes ago. Prime Minister Walton and his Cabinet are celebrating a moment nine years in the making. As of ten minutes ago, the so-called socialist government is no-longer ‘playing make-believe,’ in the words of critics, the economy is now officially socialist.

Reacting to the reclassification, Prime Minister Walton said, 'Today, Qaweritoyu has taken another step toward an economy built on equality, dignity and social justice. Wealth must serve the people, not the other way around.

This is not the end of our work, but the beginning of a new chapter. Let us build a society where prosperity is shared and every Qan has the opportunity to flourish.’

Prime Minister Walton also announced that the Government is now using AI to back planning for the economy.

Astrid Delvigne, the Keylo-Izaakian minister for Space and AI forced to clarify that although Qaweritoyu is a close ally, the Keyli-Izaakian government does not support the switch to socialism, and no Keylo-Izaakian frontier model is being used to centrally plan the Qan economy. She went on to say, whilst AI is a useful processing tool, free market capitalism is the most effective and efficient way to generate economic output and wealth.

Prime Minister Walton has released a statement responding to the Keylo-Izaakian Minister for Space and AI. He said, ‘We value Keylo-Izaakia as a close ally, but our economic system is a matter for the Qans alone. Qaweritoyu has freely chosen socialism because we believe an economy should serve people, not simply measure its success by the wealth it generates. We have nothing against markets, nor do we reject innovation or the usefulness of artificial intelligence, but we reject the assumption that private markets are inherently the only or most legitimate means of organising an economy. Our experiment is ours to undertake, and we intend to prove its worth through the prosperity, dignity and security it provides to every Qan.’

Prime Minister Walton has announced a Referendum to open up state-provided health care to all citizens. The Referendum takes place on Tuesday, 1 September.

Divine Committee Selects Ga’klar Ibinete V as Next Arkava; Coronation Set for Early September

Ozákla, Zuhlgan — The Divine Committee has formally selected Ga’klar Ibinete V as the next Arkava of the Holy Dominion of Zuhlgan, ending weeks of speculation and marking the first dynastic succession in over two centuries. The 35-year-old eldest son of the late Arkava Ga’klar Ibinete IV was chosen following what sources describe as, “intense but ultimately unified,” deliberations among the Committee’s remaining members.

The announcement was made early this morning by Chancellor of Government Services Rom Ur-Táikka, who emerged from the closed-door session at the Zuktal Synodic Monastery to deliver the news to a waiting nation.

“The Divine Committee, after prayerful consideration and extensive deliberation, has selected Ga’klar Ibinete V to ascend to the throne of Zhukvana and assume the mantle of Arkava,” Ur-Táikka said. “He is a son of Zuhlgan, a faithful servant of Zhukva, and a worthy successor to his father’s legacy. The Dominion welcomes its new leader.”

Zuhlgan Launches Joint Naval and Army Exercises Off Aka Island

Ozákla, Zuhlgan— Zuhlgan has commenced large-scale joint naval and army exercises off the coast of Aka Island and on the island itself, according to a statement released early this morning by the Zuhlgani Defense Ministry. The exercises, which involve multiple naval vessels, amphibious assault units, and ground forces, are being framed as “routine defensive drills” but are already drawing sharp reactions from regional powers.

The exercises began at approximately 5:00 AM local time, with Zuhlgani warships taking up positions in the waters surrounding Aka Island— the strategically vital territory Zuhlgan secured through its controversial agreement with the TPA-PV coalition earlier this year. Amphibious landing craft were observed approaching the island’s shores, while ground forces conducted maneuvers on the island itself.

“This is a scheduled defensive exercise aimed at ensuring the security and territorial integrity of the Holy Dominion’s sovereign territory,” a Zuhlgani Defense Ministry spokesperson said in a brief statement. “These drills are in accordance with international norms and are not directed at any third party.”

However, the timing and location of the exercises have raised concerns among regional observers, given the ongoing tensions between Zuhlgan and Krauanagaz, and the unresolved status of Aka Island, which Krauanagaz and the Mitalldukish Provisional Government do not recognize as Zuhlgani territory.

Aka Island, part of the Tadukallai Isles, has been a point of contention since Zuhlgan’s military occupation and subsequent recognition by the TPA-PV coalition in January 2025. The island’s strategic location along Cordilia’s southwest coast makes it a valuable military and economic asset, serving as a key node for naval operations and trade routes.

Krauanagaz has consistently rejected Zuhlgan’s claim to the island, and President Thalira Renkara’s administration has warned that any military build-up on Aka Island would be viewed as a provocation.

The exercises have already drawn a sharp response from Krauanagaz. A State Department spokesperson condemned the drills as “a provocative act” and called on Zuhlgan to “cease all military activities in disputed territory.”

“Zuhlgan’s military exercises on and around Aka Island are a violation of the spirit of the ceasefire and a threat to regional stability,” the spokesperson said. “The Federation does not recognize Zuhlgan’s claim to Aka Island, and we view these exercises as an unnecessary escalation.”

The World Forum has expressed concern and called for restraint, urging both nations to “avoid actions that could undermine the fragile ceasefire” and to resolve their disputes through diplomacy.

Okhoa has also expressed concern, with its Foreign Ministry calling for “calm and de-escalation.”

The exercises are expected to continue for several days, with Zuhlgani officials indicating that they are part of a broader effort to consolidate control over Aka Island and demonstrate the Dominion’s cross-continent military capabilities. Observers will be watching closely for any signs of escalation, including possible Krauanagazan responses or increased military movements along the border.

“This is a significant demonstration of Zuhlgani naval power,” said a defense analyst. “It is also a clear signal to Krauanagaz and its allies that Zuhlgan intends to hold onto Aka Island— and that it is prepared to defend it.”
