The Snovian military has confirmed, that they have already lost control over 6 out of 8 military bases in North Hazelia and the complex which was supposed to become a Ryccian airbase earlier this year to Izaakian-backed secessionist forces.
Multiple military experts from Snolland, Gianatla and other places abroad have voice surprise over the Snovian inability to protect their autonomous region. Most see the reason in outdated tech, but rumours about an involvement of the Reizen Independence Movement have gotten more prominent on social media too.

Doctors at the New Mako Imperial Hospital have confirmed the death of Gerald Fernsby the former democratic leader of N&GB. A further six people are being monitored, with two paramedics and a neighbour all in a severe condition. The cause of death has been described by police as potentially a nerve agent, and are advising people within a 5 mile radius of the assassination not to pick up any unidentified items or containers.
The Reizen Independence movement has claimed responsibility for helping the Hazelian Separatists in their recent string of victories against their foreign occupiers and vow to fight alongside the Hazelians until the last Snolland occupier leaves the country.
Ikaranara denounces the Hazelian separatists for working with such an organization and vows to “economically hinder” free Hazelian nation under their control until it can confirm that RIM influence has dissipated.
Weisserstein announced 25 billion Kronemark plan to expand the Weisserstein Reichsmarine in order to thwart the rising threat of illegal fisheries and piracy within its ocean territories. The government has also announced plans to work with neighboring countries to establish a joint anti-piracy force to deal with the threat.
Experts in Sedunn note that the Sedunnic government is unusually quiet about the situation in Hazelia and the involvement of third parties. Sedunn is otherwise typically vocal about increasing its military’s readiness in similar situations. This is likely due to the delicate diplomatic situation, where the government is on the one hand seeking to mediate a peaceful solution, and on the other hand wanting to prevent a RIM stronghold in Hazelia.
After the RIM having made it official they help the secessionists and several sources claiming, their announcement can be considered credible, the Snovian prime minister Lugorr has called for a ceasefire. “We can solve this issue without more bloodshed”, she said alluding to the possibility, Hazelia might actually achieve their independence, something the Snovian government has tried to prevent in the last few decades.
After days of silence, the Weisserstein government announces their full support for the government of Snolland, despite the current situation where Hazelia’s independence is becoming more likely.
Weisserstein Chancellor, Friedrich Müller, claims that the Weisserstein government “…fully supports the upholding of Snovian territorial integrity…” and “…is willing to send any form of support for the Snovian government, in hopes of maintaining security and order…”
The Weisserstein Reichsmarine captured an unidentified ship passing through Weisserstein’s territorial waters. However things took an unexpected turn when supposed Hazelian separatists, alongside light military equipment, were found in the captured vessel, leading to the theory that Hazelian separatists smuggled weapons through Weisserstein’s, and possibly others’, waters.
Karl Haeften, a commander within the Navy, commented that “…looking back, unidentified ships have been passing through our waters ever since the situation in Hazelia started. Everyone here, including the Navy and Coast Guard, just gave the benefit of the doubt that no correlation exists between the two, and we were all proven wrong.” he commented that the 25 billion Kronemark plan to expand the Navy and the Coast Guards was “…a smart decision looking back at it…” and hopes that “…it will keep Weisserstein’s ocean safe, be it from illegal fishermen, pirates, smugglers, and criminals of any kind, be they domestic or foreign.”
There are rumours of the Besernian Federal Police planning to launch an operation against Reizen Independence Movement insurgents living in Besern and those who have assets or links in Besern or are of Besernian origin. Predictions thrown around by curious netizens show a belief that this rumoured operation, if it becomes fact, will not succed and only make Besern a target for RIM terrorism.
Hazelian secessionists have denied to have smuggled weapons from or through Weisserstein. “One might not expect that, but there were more than enough weapons in the Snovian bases we took control of”, Laro Hausklav said. It cannot be fully outruled, that secessionist-supporting forces are doing such deals though.
The AIAD in Past has arrested more then 50 people charged with “Conspiracy against the government.” Some question whether this event has had any relation with the RIM in Hazelia as they seem to be once again becoming active across the region.
The Reizen Independence movement has denied smuggling weapons from or through Weisserstein. The RIM have also condemned the AIAD for the arrest and scapegoating of innocent Pastens as RIM sympathizers.
