The deceased bodies of two of the NRF-leaders Yavor Georgiev and Miladin Tinchev have been found by Visrodin authorities in a secluded back alley in the city of Ardino. A handwritten letter was discovered next to the bodies, with no information other than this short statement: “Republic AND democracy, or death”.

Due to the elusive situation of the National Republican Front, not much is known about the possible cause of this situation. Some have suggested that the NRF is undergoing its own set of purges, which are targeting members who may approve of Todorov’s dictatorship, if he gets rid of the, currently very weak, monarchy.

With Yavor Georgiev and Miladin Tinchev dead, the other known leaders of the NRF; socialist Marko Bunev and communist Troyan Zdravkov are possibly consolidating their power and ideologies over the organization.

The isolating mountainous terrain of Visrodin is proving to make military control over rural areas of the country challenging. Due to the collapse of the prior government, and the “vanishing” of most public workers, who were against Todorov’s new regime, large swathes of Visrodin’s rural areas have found themselves almost completely cut off from the rest of the country, or at least, find themselves under no surveillance.

This situation has allowed for the workers and residents of many towns and small cities on mountainous and rural regions of the country, both in the mainland, the territory of Samakov, and the islands, to organize several local Worker’s Councils. The establishment of these Worker’s Councils, possibly facilitated by the NRF, has allowed residents of cut off and unsupervised towns to organize the direction of politics, public services and security of the towns by direct voting. Some of the more radical and isolated towns have even reportedly voted for the establishment of a town’s militia.

Todorov’s regime has still not issued a response to this development, as the dictatorship’s focus is still to firmly secure the larger cities and metropolitan areas of the country, mainly to supress and disarm the highly discontent population.

Rumours have blown up since last night that the Cabinet and the Prime Minister are preparing to step down. The general public thinks the Prime Minister is about to swap places, once again, with the Deputy Prime Minister amid rumours of backlash.

Deputy Prime Minister Garcia has announced that Mister Speaker Philip Horn is to join him on Season 3 of his podcast.

Prime Minister Walton has issued a statement as a result of rumours circulating. ‘Good evening. Today, our nation and our people have decided to partake in speculation on whether our time in Cabinet and in Government is up or not. We live in a democracy and you are free to partake in such speculation as you wish, or not to. However, I feel obliged to provide an update. The Cabinet currently has no plans to step down. Our current Parliament is not currently at an end, therefore, our current Government and our current Cabinet is not either. We will continue to do the work you have elected us to do, with enthusiasm and passion, as we have ever since we took office in December 2023 when the office of Prime Minister rotated. Thank you.’

Journalists noted that the Prime Minister failed to comment on whether he was to remain Prime Minister for the foreseeable future and reached out to the Prime Minister for clarification. The Prime Minister declined to clarify.

The quarterly GDP of the Kingdom of Visrodin is projected to fall at least 30%, mainly due to Todorov’s foreign policy and widespread repression against any individual against the regime, including the Visrodin business class, as well as the collapse of the prior government and public sector, and the general instability in the country.

Visrodin exports and imports have mostly collapsed, and the regime has not made enough effort to find alternative countries to trade with, who are accepting of Todorov’s totalitarian military rule. To make it worse for the Kingdom, due to the lack of resources, military seizure and sacking and businessmen purges, many companies in the country have found themselves under bankrupcy, leading to an unemployment rate of, possibly, over 20%.

The worker class in Visrodin already found itself in a harsh situation before the establishment of military rule. The lack of any welfare, minimum wage and limit on work hours made the lives of many miserable. Now, however, with the lack of any job, many are finding themselves go homeless, as they are not able to afford rent.

BREAKING— The Krauanagazan Geological Survey (KGS) has lifted the Volcano Warning for Mount Alkantarak, downgrading it to a Volcano Watch as the risk of further major eruptions has subsided. However, the Cordilian Institute of Geoscience has maintained Alkantarak’s Volcanic Risk Level at ‘Red’ due to ongoing significant ash emissions, which continue to disrupt air travel across Southern Cordilia and the Gulf of Good Omen. Authorities caution that while immediate danger has decreased, residents in affected areas should remain vigilant as monitoring efforts continue.

The Special Committee for Electoral Reform has presented its recommendation for changes to the electoral system for the Tepertopian Assembly today. The cross-party committee was formed after the exceptionally long counting process in the 2024 election. A record number of candidates standing significantly split the first-preference vote, necessitating many additional rounds of vote transfers under the Single Transferable Vote system.

Mainly, the committee recommends to blanket-eliminate candidates with very low totals of first-preference votes after the first round of counting. As cut-off, the committee suggests 10% of one full vote quota – the number of votes necessary to guarantee winning a seat. Furthermore, the committee proposes technical changes that would allow breaking up the two largest constituencies, currently electing 10 and 9 seats respectively.

A matching bill has been jointly submitted by the Assemblypeople who sat on the committee.

BREAKING NEWS

Following the Stoinian election results with 92.45% of the votes counted, Catinca Mirea, the leader of the Liberal Party has announced her party’s victory. In the months leading up to this Sunday, the Stoinian political system underwent a tumultuous reshuffling with smaller parties joining larger established parties with both right-wing and left-wing blocs forming in intense debates. However, today has marked clear consolidation of Stoinia’s shift to the right despite a strong leftist opposition.

Catinca Mirea has thanked all Stoinian citizen for the tense and rigorous electoral process stating: “Our democratic process can be a maze at times, but I’d like to thank all our supporters for entrusting us with the mantle of responsibility given to us on this day. Together, we will continue to steer Stoinia on its course of everlasting liberty and prosperity!”

However, the other large winner seems to be the centre-right technocratic 7 Stars Movement of Paganin Corriadi. This large electoral gain seems largely due to Tudor Segărceanu’s affiliation with the party which he formally joined for these elections to reform Stoinia and make it even more democratic. One of the party’s promises is to make internet voting possible for the next elections and will likely become a contention point for the next government.

With multiple parties voicing a continued support for current Prime Minister Alina Celăreanu, it’s expected that she’ll be invited by the King tomorrow morning to discuss the formation of a new government. The Capricorn nation stands at the brink of a new political era.
