After an exhaustive but unsuccessful search by Visrodin police, the VoPol, Internal Security Departments and some military brigades throughout Sarnitsa, surrounding areas and the central highlands to locate and hopefully rescue the heir to the throne, Knyaz Viktor III has reportedly accepted the proposed exchange by the NRF.
The event has been completely censored out of Visrodin general media, and has only managed to spread through social media apps as any media outlet could face massive fines from the spread of these news, which are already being called “the monarchy’s greatest humiliation of the century” in social media spaces.
Visrodin police and military have met with unarmed representatives of the NRF in several prisons, where members of the NRF were imprisoned. The heir to the throne was reportedly healed from the injuries of the fight with the Knyaz, without any further injury. With the heir returned, the authorities of the Kingdom released up to an estimated 250 NRF members; a number under the general expectations of NRF leadership, but the deal was finished without further incident.
The NRF leadership reportedly communicated several findings about recent extrajudicial executions of up to 150 of its members, who were expected for the exchange. Although this attack and kidnapping is now finally over, it is not known how much it will impact public opinion on the monarchy, the country’s security and the NRF. The NRF has traditionally relied on high-impact, morale attacks against the country’s leadership that could possibly draw in further members into the organization.

STPG militia alongside their Izaakian allies launch a counteroffensive against the Nationalist coalition despite the continued loss of territory to the Nationalists to the North west. The onsite STPG commander was cited saying, “The best defense is a better offensive! Hit the bastards where they least expect it!”
Kliegme has reinforced its position in western Termina via deployment of tactical reserves.
In Kliegme-held territories, construction of fortification networks has been mostly completed as many defence lines are activated. International Observers believe that in the current situation on the field, Kliegme is unlikely to lose significant territory, but neither will the Nationalists as Kliegme hunkers down, reminiscent of the events in the exact location during the Great War, the trench warfare.
In Yamatai, progress has been made with key firepoints around the city having been captured, completely cutting off the city from any hope of nationalist relief. Negotiations for Humanitarian Aid Routes and evacuating its citizens have been held, but is not expected to make progress any time soon.
Within Kliegme, the question of what to do after crushing Nationalist terrorism continues, with the border with Mipha continuing to be locked down from both sides due to fear of the other being a flashpoint of the fractured Kliegme-Terminan relationship as a result of the war.
The talks between the CE and USI over a common strategic alignment in Termina have rendered to be inconclusive. Foreign minister Strunk and defense minister Recke announced a press statement later in the day.
28 December 2024, ca. 09:47 h
The Gianatlan foreign and defense ministries have officially declared the talks between the USI and CE as failed. “Even the short-term goals presented by foreign minister Blanc on the USI’s side in comparison to those laid out by some CE allies were not compatible enough to reach an immediate agreement. Gianatla will continue to keep all channels open and act as an intermediary between the USI and the CE. However, it is regrettable a quick solution to this conflict, an agreement that would have stressed the fight against rogue nationalists and the importance of lifting the pain caused by this conflict to innocent Terminans and Kliegmeans, could not be reached.”

In her New Year’s speech, Chancellor Sanddorn has thanked the essential workers in the country and expressed her wish, for fair political campaigns in the upcoming election year. She has stressed, her and her party’s position of supporting the CE’s cause in Termina, but also supported the backs of her ministers when saying: “Gianatla is involved. Involved for peace.”
05 January 2025, 17:30 h
Gianatla commented on Kliegme’s latest news from Yamatai with relief over slowly winning the battle over the nationalists, however called also for a swift de-escalation in the city state or the establishment of interim goals. “We need corridors for humanitarian aid and a security regime, that is making sure the local economy, especially in neutral territories, isn’t damaged unnecessarily long by the fighting in and occupation of Yamatai”, defense minister Recke laid out. “We are sure, our ally generally follows this train of thought.”
OOC: Provided I find the time and words, a more detailed story post on the meeting between CE and USI officials as well as what background information Gianatla received, that led to our call to give up Yamatai might get posted on the TCW thread at a later date as a throwback post .

MizdikoHypo announced a heavy decrease in prices for its microgrid systems for Keylian Izaakians, citing potential for main power systems to go offline due to flooding.
When asked whether Izaakian commando units are operating secretly behind enemy lines in Termina a spokeswoman for the ministry of defence said “We don’t have any commando units, we aren’t at war in Termina, and if we were, I couldn’t possibly comment on ongoing military operations.”
Widespread panic has spread through the Kingdom of Visrodin, as countless armored vehicles and regiments of the Armed Forces have suddenly invaded the Kingdom’s main cities and largest towns. With their main objectives being any political executive and justice buildings, the military is seeking to gain the complete control of the country’s administration.
Over in the capital city of Sarnitsa, the Armed Forces have also invaded both Houses of the National Assembly. Several military regiments seized the House of Barons without any hiccups or major resistance from the noble representatives. However, the House of Delegates showed some resistance to the military occupation.
Many Visrodin citizens have also tried to resist against the military takeover, trying to stop the movement of the armored vehicles and rioting against the soldiers, but with little success. Meanwhile, the NRF has skirmished with the Visrodin military in several locations. The NRF reportedly delayed and defended the military invasion of the House of Delegates and also stopped the military invasion of several of the country’s largest TV network’s buildings, in order to stop any possible censorship of the event. It is not known how many citizen, soldier and NRF casualties there are.
The Knyaz has traveled to the House of Barons, where he met with commander-in-chief Anton Todorov and reportedly signed an agreement with the military to rule the Kingdom jointly. The Knyaz has also indefinitely suspended the 1923 Constitution, the National Assembly, the Supreme Court and the current Government led by Chairman Vladislav Gavrilov. Suspending the Constitution would have only been possible with the approval of the Supreme Court, as the capability was stripped away from the Knyaz, but with the current situation, there is nobody to oppose this change.
The friendly nature between the military and the Knyaz has led many to think that this coup was planned by the Knyaz himself, in order to return power to the monarchy and get rid of the legislative process of the National Assembly, as well as to return full judicial power to the monarchy. With an unclear political situation now, and pretty much full power back to his hand, it is not known what the Knyaz has planned for the Kingdom.

Yayyára, Krauanagaz— A new report from Doctors Without Borders (NLL) has revealed a deadly outbreak of an unknown illness sweeping through refugee camps in Northern Krauanagaz, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis. The report, released today, confirms that 91 people have died in three camps in the Zhzoatal province, with an additional 107 fatalities recorded in a single camp in Krautallaz province.
The illness, which has yet to be identified, has left health officials and aid organizations scrambling for answers. The lack of diagnostic clarity has hampered containment efforts, prompting calls for international assistance to curb the outbreak.

Blood testing has verified the illness in an unconfirmed number of patients within Okhoa’s north coastal regions. Health officials are urging residents to remain vigilant and follow sanitation and hygiene guidelines as investigations continue.
