However, progress at extracting survivors from collapsed buildings is limited by the lack of heavy machinery. The USI Army Engineering Core is currently working around the clock to clear highways.

Following the earthquake in Brodlancia, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs are heading to the airport immediately to get a flight over to show their support. The Minister of Foreign Affairs said, hurriedly, to a reporter that they are also bringing a number of search teams with them. When asked if that was a good idea, the Prime Minister interrupted, saying, ‘Good idea or not, it’s happening, and now!’

Jakub prepares for Election Day
As the late November Election Day approaches for Jakub, political ads are in full swing as it becomes evermore apparent that the two primary parties for the election are going to be the Coalition Party and the Conservative Party. With both current president Wiktor Ruskowski and former vice-president Kerry Carterski being accredited for stomping both the Molician Insurgency and 2023 Military Coup d’tat, the candidates have had a straight head-to-head battle on the campaign trail as the two former political allies become rivals for the presidency.
Wiktor Ruskowski is generally considered a more conservative candidate than Carterski and stands against the idea of intervening against nations causing regional stability (the NAGB or the NAGB. Also NAGB). Ruskowski also believes that Southern Jakub (primarily where Julixic communities are) should receive more government investments.
Kerry Carterski is considered a hard-line libertarian who believes in limited military intervention to protect Jakub and support its allies. Carterski has promised to end military operations against terrorism, gaining him favor among Molician voters. Carterski supports infrastructure developments in East and Central Jakub to improve the economies still affected by the years of insurgency/civil war.

Keanu and Hurley braces for Cyclone Maurice, which is due to make land fall tonight. The category 3 cyclone is due to skim past the northern barrier islands, before heading eastward towards Izaakia. The Izaakian Meteorological Office is expecting the storm to intensify as it reaches warmer waters before making landfall in Montacia and Brodlancia. Rescue operations in Claro and Vinlandia are now working in a 36 hour window to rescue survivors, and prepare for the storm.

An amended version of the motion on Gianlucian intervention in Termina will be presented to the Königspalast on Monday. This was announced by Sanddorn’s press office in the evening. It appears, that plans for a naval blockade are off the table now due to internal resistance within the Green Party. Instead airlifts from within the TCC as well as from Kliegme are going to be proposed, which will be organised by the Bundesarmee’s peacekeeping units. The airlifts shall bring medicinal supplies, food and water to the Terminan city states in crisis and shall also offer a quick way for Northern Terminan refugees to apply for humanitarian asylum in Gianatla.

Supporters of Texeteti’ have ransacked the Acting Chief Benjamin Harris’ household in the early hours of the morning. The Acting Chief’s family are all ok, but the family reports that the house received considerable damage from fire and theft. Plenty of chopped hair littered the lawns, an act that signified a grave threat in the Finixi culture.
Texeteti’, known for many things, including his iconic long hair kept in a complicated braid, sported a buzzcut as he made his first public appearance since leaving prison after using a loophole in the FiHami Constitution to completely pardon himself from crimes of Treason. He is expected to announce his cabinet soon. He has also announced his engagement to ex-Ha’Coron’ Puani Kokostali (no family afiliation), and pardoned her from her treason charges.

From Brodlancia, the Prime Minister appointed Keira Pearson as Deputy Prime Minister, replacing Head. He also appointed Lexie Hernandez and Jordana Blair as additional Deputy Prime Ministers.

Active combat was at reported throughout the city during the week as nationalists attempted a breakout.
Superior Kliegmean Firepower made it impossible for the nationalists in Vermillion to maintain a cohesive offensive. However, the urban nature of the siege made it as difficult for the Kliegmeans in turn, to advance into the heart of the city.
Myrian Military Experts forsee a stalemate in the area for the time being, with the recent breakout attempt having ended with the battered nationalists returning to their entrenched positions in the city centre to regroup.
Kliegmean MoD claim that the Coalition force of Termina and Kliegme successfully cleared Rimuru of Nationalist militants, and are now pushing them back. In Yamatai, Kliegme claims that it has successfully secured critical positions around the city.
It has been now 2 weeks since the Joint Peace-Keeping Operation began. Public support of the Operation in Kliegme remains high, with many agreeing with the government’s justification of the choice to conduct a peace-keeping operation. This manifested in a steady increase in volunteers to the usually conscription-based Kliegmean Military.

Yamatai civilians and nationalist forces escalate the fighting in Yamatai by engaging in guerilla warfare against Kliegmean forces. Broken glass and bullet casings litter the street as many rallying cries such as " Yamatai has a right to self determination" continues to echo across the city-state.
Rimuru Valley continues to be fiercely contested between the Nationalists and Kliegme-Rimuru forces. Higurashi general command believes that the Nationalists have shifted their priorities from forces away from seizing the city-state to forcing the enemy to retreat. Higurashi advisors have warned their counterparts operating in Rimuru Valley that the enemy will close gaps along the Termina-Kliegme border as well as conduct guerilla operations to disrupt Coalition forces.

OOC Info: Kliegme has received intel of plans for the nationalists to transition to a Guerilla war. It will implement Contingency Plan “Revelation”, a counter-insurgent war plan, which focuses on separating guerilla millitants from the local population through creating safe zones, all while deicmating guerilla positions using heavy firepower and Psychological Warfare, while also using SOF units and targetted strikes to decapitate the leadership.
Kliegmean Gosgvardiya, delegated the task of border control, are placed on high alert. Kliegme continues to rain fire on Nationalist millitants along all fronts, targetting supply hubs and Forward Operation Bases, disrupting army cohesion.
Peculiarly, Drones have began being used en masse by the Kliegmean Army to seek and liquidate a variety of targets, marking the first time that a UAV was used in active combat by the Kliegmean Military.
Rumours of Unusual Terminas crossing into Kliegme from Mipha spread in Yatagaras. Yet Unconfirmed.

Prime Minister Walton and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Bert Little return home from Brodlancia. The Prime Minister stated, at the airport, ‘Things are bad there, very bad, they will need our support going forward for a long time. They have been there for us in our tough times, it’s now time for us to be there for them. Dr. Little and I have left search and rescue teams there, who will aid other search and rescue teams on the ground in Brodlancia.’

There have been 87 confirmed casualties from the 7.6 magnitude earthquake on Friday. Search and rescue efforts are currently being halted as Cyclone Maurice hits the region. The mining town of Skyrack has been evacuated in preparation for what the authorities are calling a likely land slide, as a slope above the town is showing increasing levels of instability.

A TV interview with Montwælda Rombold on the earthquake and impending cyclone in Brodlancia has been cut short after the Montwælda, who looked visibly exhausted began slurring his speech halfway though the interview, and exhibiting signs of rapid onset facial paralysis. He has been rushed to hospital for medical care.

Multiple insider sources claim Ikaranarean military officials were shocked by Izaakian support of the Southern Terminan Provisional Government. The Ikaranareans are expected to make further moves in Termina after they have secured their borders.
Tens of thousands of Ikaranarean, Losavral and Pasten troops have been making movements around LPF-occupied Atrissian Tzara.

The Montwældas office releases a statement on the Montwældas health, saying he has been diagnosed with a rare form of Bells Palsy called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome induced by shingles in the ear. He has been prescribed aciclovir and prednisiolne to manage the condition, and the condition has no long term health impacts. The montwælda will be able to continue the day to day running of the nation, however will avoid public appearances for the next 4 weeks whilst the worst of the paralysis subsides.
On the news program Good Morning New Mako, Doctor Scott said that the condition is often stress induced or caused by excessive exhaustion, both of which weaken the immune system and cause shingles to reappear in nerve endings. He speculated that managing national security at a time where 6 nearby countries are in conflict, whilst dealing with terra Firma backed terrorists in Athos, Liberal Party internal politics and 2 back to back natural disasters could be stressful.
