BREAKING— In a brief statement, a spokesperson for the Krauanagazan Defense Department informed the press that a joint Federal Army-Emeraldian Royal Marine force suffered heavy casualties in a “significant engagement” in Southeastern Mitallduk.

The spokesperson, Major Varin Halkar, confirmed that a clash in Med Arriri yesterday evening resulted in at least 52 Krauanagazan and Emeraldian servicemembers killed and dozens more wounded. “This was a coordinated and intense confrontation, the details of which are still being gathered,” Halkar stated. Slowing Inflation Brings Food Prices Down

Inflation in Huawan eased to 1.3 percent in June, down from 1.5 percent in May, according to a report from Statistics Huawan on Monday.

The agency cited more moderate increases in average mortgage rates and cheaper holiday packages to destinations outside Cordilia as key factors in the slowdown.

From May to June, fresh vegetable prices experienced the most significant rise, driven mainly by the new potato harvest, said the agency’s chief actuary, Kara Chu.

“The price of potatoes surged by an average of 39 percent, and cabbage saw a 13 percent increase. Conversely, fresh fruit prices decreased by 3.6 percent from May. Coffee and tea prices fluctuate monthly, with a 12.8 percent increase this time,” Chu explained.

Despite the overall moderation in inflation, the onset of the holiday season has led to rising prices in the service sector, according to the agency.

“For instance, prices for long-distance bus trips increased by seven percent in one month, international air travel by eight percent, and ferry trips by nine percent. Amusement park ticket prices rose by an average of seven percent, and vacation cottage rentals increased by 12 percent,” Chu added.

Tea Stocks Surge Amid Rising Brew Prices and Lower Production

Shares of several tea manufacturing companies are climbing on stock exchanges, driven by soaring brew prices nationwide.

A senior official from a leading tea company attributed the price increase to market expectations that tea producers would perform well despite crop shortages in both North and South Huawan.

Erratic cold waves in North Huawan has negatively impacted tea production, causing a price hike. Huawan’s tea prices are expected to remain high in the near term due to heatwaves and floods projected at the end of the year, affecting key harvesting seasons. South Huawanese tea companies like Carrie Nam and MatChaCha are well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand, especially from the global market, with their well-regarded, high-quality teas, the official said.

“However, we must remember that the sharp rise in tea prices could be temporary. Once the climate stabilizes, tea production might increase, leading to a potential price correction. This trend could also be reflected in the share prices of tea-producing companies," he added.

Prime Minister’s Short Statement on the Recent Incident at Alton City International Aiport
Good evening.

Just after 3PM yesterday, I was informed of an incident in Alton City International Airport. I an informed and trust that an evacuation took place and all passengers were able to continue their delayed journeys safely. This is thanks to our very good police service.

Friends, I believe we are not yet out of the woods. I think whatever happened yesterday was a harbinger, not announcing the arrival of a god but something greater I do feel is on the way. I have no confirmation of this but I have a high suspicion.

I have conducted meetings today with the Ministers of the Interior and Foreign Affairs and have informed them that from today, with immediate effect, the airport is to be on high alert. During this time, I urge passengers not to make stupid jokes about having bombs or explosives going through customs and airport security, your sarcasm may get you thrown out of the airport and you will not be able to fly. Police will keep a heavy presence in and around the airport and the Secret Service will closely monitor the airport’s security and proceedings.

All of these regulations are in place for the safety of all passengers and are not there to make life difficult. These matters are extremely serious and due care and attention is given to them. Your anticipated patience and support is appreciated.

Thank you.

Good evening.

"First, to the followers of Arsfanism, I deeply apologize. I have reflected on what I have said and I realize that it was, in no way whatsoever, an appropriate response from anyone, let alone the leader of a nation. BREAKING— Krauanaet Zharan has announced the immediate suspension of all diplomatic relations with Zuhlgan. The decision comes amid escalating tensions and accusations between the two nations regarding the conflict in Mitallduk.

The suspension of diplomatic relations includes the recall of Krauanagazan ambassadors from Zuhlgan and the expulsion of Zuhlgan’s remaining diplomatic personnel from Krauanagaz. Additionally, all trade agreements and cooperative initiatives between the two nations are to be halted immediately.

The breakdown in diplomatic relations marks a significant escalation in the already tense situation in Southern Cordilia. With both nations now in a state of heightened alert, the potential for further military confrontation looms larger than ever. Observers fear that the suspension of diplomatic channels could lead to increased hostilities and a broader regional conflict.

Yayyára, Krauanagaz— The Krauanagazan department of defense (DOD) has released a statement revealing that a fatal July 14 engagement in Mitallduk involved multiple hostile armed groups. According to the DOD, coalition forces came under heavy fire approximately 15 minutes after arriving in Med Arriri for a routine security check.

Coalition forces, including Federal Army soldiers and Emeraldian Royal Marines, were fired on by Purity Vanguard militants and Zuhlgani military forces for several minutes according to DOD officials. The Krauanagazan Federal Army says that 36 soldiers and 16 Emeraldian Royal Marines were killed during the firefight before coalition forces could withdraw.

The Zuhlgani Foreign Affairs Ministry says that Zuhlgani forces were engaged in a standard peacekeeping mission in Med Arriri, which does have a large population of ethnically Lupritali individuals. The Ministry claimed that their forces were engaged in talks with the Purity Vanguard militants occupying the town before Coalition forces arrived. Zuhlgan asserts that the unannounced arrival of Coalition forces created a the dangerous situation which resulted in a trilateral firefight in the center of Med Arriri.

The Krauanagazan Defense Department denies Zuhlgan’s claims and says that Zuhlgan’s forces were “laying in wait,” inside Med Arriri to attack Coalition security forces.

Prime Minister’s Update Speech to the Nation

Good evening.

Last Thursday, the Lower Chamber concluded their business for the Winter and on Friday, the Higher Chamber concluded their business for the Winter. This year has been a productive term for the Government, a lot of work has been completed, but there is still a lot of work to do.

In term 1, the Government took a look at Vegetarian Laws in relation to animal rights and animal cruelty, and at Privatisation Laws in relation to investment in public services and building more council and sheltered housing. We set out to review these issues and the legislation in these areas, to propose changes, to debate them and to get them passed.

Our society’s progress is not merely measured by technological advancements or economic growth, but by our ethical evolution and our treatment of the most vulnerable among us. The replaced legislation concerning animal rights and animal cruelty has long been insufficient. It has failed to reflect our growing understanding of animals as sentient beings deserving of respect and compassion. Today, I am pleased to remind you that we have taken bold steps to rectify this, though the fruits of this work may take some time to appear.

Our new Vegetarian Laws go beyond mere regulations to enforce stringent measures that protect animals from cruelty and exploitation. We are instituting comprehensive policies that promote vegetarianism, recognising it not only as a dietary choice but as a moral imperative. This legislation includes strict penalties for animal cruelty, extensive support for plant-based agricultural practises, and incentives for businesses to adopt cruelty-free production methods. By doing so, we now foster a culture of empathy and responsibility, ensuring that our advancements do not come at the expense of the voiceless.

For too long, the privatisation of public services has eroded the foundation of our community, prioritising profit over people, and leaving the most vulnerable without essential support. Today, we are charting a new course. The current legislation that allows the privatisation of our critical public services will be completely abolished and replaced with a framework that prioritises public welfare over private gain.

We are introducing robust laws that will facilitate substantial public investment in services that are the bedrock of our society. This includes a major initiative to build more council and sheltered housing, ensuring that everyone has access to safe, affordable homes. Our new legislation will redirect resources from the private sector to public initiatives, creating a more equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities. This shift is not merely an economic adjustment but a moral reawakening, affirming our commitment to a society where the needs of the many outweigh the greed of the few.

The essence of our humanity is defined by how we treat one another, especially the most vulnerable among us. In this spirit, we are reviewing and profoundly transforming our legislation regarding torture and pain management. The abhorrent practice of flogging under torture has no place in a civilized society. Today, I am proud to announce that we are unequivocally banning this inhumane act. Our new laws will ensure that torture in any form is eradicated, reaffirming our dedication to human rights and the sanctity of human dignity.

In conjunction with this, we are embarking on a pioneering initiative to fund medical research into vaccinations against pain. Pain is a universal human experience, yet our approach to managing it has been inconsistent and often inadequate. By investing in advanced medical research, we aim to develop innovative solutions that prevent and alleviate suffering. This bold step not only enhances our healthcare system but also embodies our coalition’s ethos of compassion and scientific progress.

Next, we turn to the realm of Education Laws, where our vision of equality and opportunity for all takes concrete form. Education is the cornerstone of a just society, and yet, for too long, disparities in our education system have perpetuated inequality. The current legislation that allows the existence of privately-owned schools, fostering division and inequality, will be completely overridden and replaced.

Our government is committed to purchasing all privately-owned schools, transforming their patronage, and eliminating all differences between educational institutions. By levelling out the education system, we are ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has access to the same high-quality education. This move will dismantle the barriers that have long divided our society and pave the way for a future where merit and potential are the only determinants of success.

This transformation of our education system is not merely a structural change; it is a profound statement of our belief in equality and our commitment to nurturing the talents and dreams of every young person. We are creating an educational landscape where excellence is accessible to all, fostering a generation that is not only well-educated but also deeply connected to the principles of equity and social justice.

The backbone of any robust economy is a strong manufacturing sector that serves its people and not just the interests of a few. For too long, we have seen jobs and capital exported overseas, eroding our industrial base and leaving communities without hope. This ends now.

Our new legislation will be completely overridden and replaced with policies that prioritise public investment in manufacturing. We will inject capital into domestic industries, ensuring they thrive and provide well-paying jobs for our citizens. Moreover, we will staunchly oppose the export of jobs and capital, putting an end to the practice of outsourcing that has devastated our workforce. By expanding fair trade, we will foster an environment where our industries can compete on a level playing field while adhering to the highest ethical standards. This approach will not only invigorate our economy but also strengthen our communities, ensuring prosperity is shared by all.

The scourge of debt has ruined lives, perpetuating cycles of poverty and despair. It is time for a paradigm shift in how we address this issue. Therefore, we are introducing a mandatory prison term for debt offenders. This measure is not taken lightly; it is a reflection of our deep commitment to accountability and fairness. Debt must no longer be a tool of oppression wielded by the powerful against the vulnerable. By enforcing strict penalties for those who exploit others through debt, we aim to protect our citizens from predatory practices and ensure financial justice.

These legislative reforms are more than just changes in policy; they are a reaffirmation of our values. We believe in an economy that serves the people, where every worker is respected and every citizen is protected from exploitation. We envision a society where prosperity is built on a foundation of fairness, compassion, and shared responsibility.

The safety and security of our citizens are paramount. We have received credible intelligence regarding potential threats, and I want to assure you that we are taking this matter with the utmost seriousness. Our security forces are on high alert, working around the clock to ensure the safety of all travellers and personnel at the airport. We are implementing enhanced security measures, including increased surveillance, thorough screening processes, and the deployment of additional security personnel.

Our commitment to safeguarding our nation extends beyond immediate responses. We are also intensifying our efforts to address the root causes of terrorism through comprehensive strategies that include international cooperation, community engagement, and robust intelligence-sharing with our allies. We stand united against those who seek to disrupt our peace and security, and we will not waver in our resolve to protect our people.

I want to discuss the conflict in Mitallduk, a matter that weighs heavily on our collective conscience. As we deliberate on whether to adopt a stance of neutrality or to take a side, our guiding principles remain rooted in our values of peace, justice, and humanitarianism. This is not a decision we take lightly, and we are thoroughly examining all aspects of the situation.

Our foremost priority is to ensure that any action we take contributes to the well-being of the people of Mitallduk and the stability of the region. We are engaging in extensive consultations with international partners, regional stakeholders, and humanitarian organizations to gather a comprehensive understanding of the conflict. Our goal is to support a resolution that upholds human rights, fosters peace, and prevents further suffering.

As we navigate this complex decision, I want to reaffirm our commitment to transparency and inclusivity. We will keep the public informed and ensure that our actions reflect the collective will and ethical standards of our nation. Together, we will strive for a resolution that embodies our principles and advances the cause of peace.

We currently have nine by-elections taking place across the nation. The majority of these by-elections are due to the retirement of dedicated Members of Parliament who have served their constituencies with distinction and integrity. We are deeply grateful for their years of service and commitment to our shared values.

However, it is with a heavy heart that I must also address the by-election triggered by the untimely death of one of our esteemed MPs, Gloria Wood. This loss is deeply felt by all of us, and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and constituents who are grieving during this difficult time. We honour the legacy of Gloria, who worked tirelessly for the betterment of our society.

These by-elections are not just a procedural necessity; they are a testament to the democratic process that underpins our nation. They provide an opportunity for the people to choose representatives who will continue to advance our vision of a fair, just, and compassionate society. I encourage everyone to participate in this democratic process, as it is through your engagement that we can build a stronger and more inclusive future.

Thank you and good evening.

Stoinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mircea Ghencea, has called the recent promises by Qaweritoyu’s Prime Minister a “masked moral revolution” that aims to “impose its questionable morality on its citizenry”. Additionaly, the Vegetarian Laws were described as “moral utopianism separating humanity from nature instead of living in harmony with it”. Furthermore, Minister Ghencea questioned with which financial means Qaweritoyu would be able to actualise its plans, speculating on whether taking loans from its partner Izaakia or other nations would be morally consistent with the Prime Minister’s ideology. When asked on why Stoinia would seek to strengthen trade with Qaweritoyu, he said: “Dealing with nations that want to excell morally are notoriously difficult partners to form a commercial relationship with that Stoinia seeks. Within Qaweritoyu’s region, Stoinia has historic trade partners such as Ryccia & Valora and promising prospects such as Yttria & the UPRAN.”
