Breaking News: Zuhlgan Mobilizes Naval and Air Forces in Response to Akarina’s Naval Blockade
BREAKING - In response to Akarina’s naval blockade, Zuhlgan has announced the implementation of heightened defensive measures to safeguard its maritime interests and ensure the uninterrupted flow of goods and services in Zuhlgani waters. The announcement, made by the Arkava, comes amid an unexpected escalation of tensions following what Zuhlgan described as a surprise blockade order from Akarina. The defensive measures, according to Zuhlgan’s military chief, Autark Apovi Ibinete, involve the mobilization of naval and air forces to, “monitor and counteract the blockade,” focusing on the protection of vital trade routes and maritime infrastructure. “We will not tolerate any infringement of our sovereignty or disruption of maritime trade in Zuhlgani waters,” stated Arkava Ibinete IV in a press briefing, highlighting the nation’s commitment to defending its territorial integrity and economic interests.
While disappointed over their team’s elimination, the people of Yttria are celebrating the Mountaineer’s performance in the Rugby Union World Cup. While there is certainly room for improvement, this has been a clear display to the north that there’s more to Yttria’s sports game than water.
Zuhlgan Orders 67 Krauanagazan Citizens to Leave Nation
Developing - In response to Krauanagaz’s diplomatic expulsions, Zuhlgan has notified the Krauanagazan embassy in Ozákla that 67 Krauanagazan citizens who Zuhlgan alleges were involved in planning or executing Operation Phoenix are to vacate Zuhlgan within 72 hours. The Krauanagazan State Department has denied Zuhlgan’s claims, and says Zuhlgan has expelled dozens of aid workers, including PEOPLE and BICLU representatives, and low-level embassy staffers. Zuhlgan refutes Krauanagaz’s claims and asserts the expelled individuals have violated Zuhlgani law and sovereignty.
Krauanaet Zharan’s administration says that they were not made aware of Operation Phoenix upon assuming office as is customary, but they were briefed on other classified operations and projects according to the executive press secretary. An Inspector General has been appointed by the Ludikiari, Krauanagaz’s lower legislative body, to investigate Operation Phoenix.
This comes amid allegations from several whistleblowers that were revealed earlier this year by Krauanagazan Attorney General Mvina Koroallaz that the FDIA mistreated and tortured Red K detainees, and used information from those interrogations to obtain multiple search and arrest warrants that were carried out by the Federal Police Agency (FPA)— the FPA has no connection to the allegations leveled against the FDIA according to the Inspector General leading the investigation into the torture allegations.

The Kliegmean Duma has passed a bipartisan bill that would allow Romordian refugees that have settled in Kliegme to get a Kliegmean citizenship more easily, and would also make their children eligible for free Kliegmean education(Educational programs do not include the Romordian language, due to Romordian not being on the curriculum.)
Both the DUK and SDP, two major parties of Kliegme, were in agreement that further measures should be taken to ensure that the former Romordian refugees can deal with the new situation they find themselves in, and integrate into Kliegmean society and Kliegmean culture much easier.

→ Sera Claytons geo-ecological group in the WF have suggested that recent climate abnormalities (forest fires in K&H [@Izaakia]and high temperatures in Vrigny [@Vrigny]) along the west coast of Bailtem may be tied to oil deposit research discovered around Central Islands; concluding their work.

→ Joint press release from the Temporal Triumvirate [Madison Edwards, Adrianna Rolston and David Atkinsons] have stated that: “The Operation has been as successful as it can be. The conflict has been isolated and can now be monitored-neutralized. Furthermore, the strain on domestic resources has been relieved, in addition to experience gained by units participating in these missions.”
The GPV Government has launched a multifaceted effort to improve Vrigny’s ecological status and to “move into the future”. This plan mainly involves the Vrignyan electrical sector, but also includes a relatively large reforestation plan for Northern and Southern Vrigny.
Currently, Vrigny’s electricity is generated mainly with its nuclear power plants, being 80% of all Vrignyan electricity from this source. The rest is made up by mostly hydroelectric energy, and a small percentage of wind and solar. With this plan, the government will build new wind and solar farms, using the relatively clear Southwestern and Northeastern Vrignyan Plains.
The objectives of the reforestation plan are to recover forest mass in several areas across all of Vrigny, which was used back then for military testing. Both the rainforests to the north and more temperate forests in the south were affected by the dictatorship. Hopefully with this plan, the delicate Vrignyan wildlife will have a chance to recover after decades, or even centuries, of destruction.
Trade Talks Between Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan Stall Over Tariff Disagreements
Krauanagaz — Trade negotiations between Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan have come to an abrupt halt following significant disagreements over tariff and trade policies, according to a spokesperson from Zuhlgan. The two nations have been engaged in talks for weeks, attempting to resolve a variety of trade-related issues. However, recent developments suggest that reaching an agreement may prove more challenging than initially anticipated.
During a press conference held in Zuhlgan’s capital, a government representative noted that “major sticking points” have emerged in discussions regarding the levels of tariffs imposed on various goods, the regulation of cross-border commerce, and the enforcement of intellectual property rights. These disagreements have resulted in a temporary suspension of formal negotiations, further heightening tensions between the two neighboring nations. This development has had a noticeable impact on regional stock markets, with volatility increasing throughout the week. The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the trade talks has led to significant fluctuations in stock prices across various sectors, particularly those most heavily impacted by international trade such as the manufacturing, agriculture, and energy sectors. Investors are closely monitoring the situation, with many expressing concern over the broader economic ramifications if a trade agreement is not reached in the near future.
A look a Mitallduk’s elections, and regional politics.
As militant violence intensifies in southern Krauanagaz, an escalating refugee crisis has emerged at the Krauanagaz-Mitallduk border. Thousands of civilians, fleeing conflict and seeking safety, are crossing into Mitallduk, creating a complex humanitarian situation with significant political and economic ramifications. This development comes just weeks before Mitallduk’s national elections, scheduled for May 20, raising concerns about security, stability, and the country’s ability to effectively manage the crisis.
Violence has been spreading in southern Krauanagaz, driven by militant groups vying for control over the region. This conflict has led to widespread displacement, with an estimated 25,000 people fleeing across the border into Mitallduk in just the last two days. The refugees report escalating violence, widespread destruction of property, and threats to their safety as reasons for their flight. The influx has strained local resources and infrastructure, leading to makeshift and overcrowded refugee camps and pressing humanitarian challenges in both Mitallduk and Krauanagaz. Mitallduk’s emergency and social services are working to provide aid to the refugees, but the influx has reportedly overwhelmed local infrastructure. Food, clean water, and medical supplies are in short supply, and aid agencies are calling for international assistance to meet the steepening demand. According to Krauanagaz’s Federal Human Rights Commission, at least 4 of the 7 authorized refugee camps lack proper sanitation, leading to health risks, while the sheer number of arrivals has raised concerns about public safety and border security in Mitallduk. According to a Mitalldukish border official, “the sudden influx of refugees poses significant challenges to [Mitallduk’s] border security and public safety.”
Emergency defence systems in Carraca & Conaro have been triggered. It is unclear what the exact cause might be, but certain sources claim it was due to a supersonic unidentified flying object above the fringes of Conaro’s EEZ.
Developing — According to initial reports several border guards opened fire on a crowd of Krauanagazan refugees after what witnesses described as an altercation took place. It is unclear at this time what exactly precipitated the gunfire Mitalldukish authorities have not issued a statement on the matter as of presstime. The Krauanagazan Federal Police Agency (FPA) said that a “mass-casualty event” had occurred near the Coastal Crossing, and that local emergency crews are on-scene.
The trimester meeting has been concluded. Several insiders reported that there were differences between the LfE and the Greens regarding the transport infrastructure, because the LfE wants to expand several highway networks, and continue to enforce e-fuels. The greens however want to push for a soft ban on new highways and priorisation of rail infrastructure.

Izaakian Foreign Minister Noor Aqaba describes Akarinas decision to not submit to the TPNW as disappointing, and that Izaakias position on Akarina will reflect the fact.
Weliki Vanzuik signs the TPNW - Weliki Vanuik has signed the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, this is a pivitol point in San Marsico’s history that the President has signed a Treaty related to Nuclear Weapons. President Vanuik has stated, “In order to keep peace, and prosperity, the People’s Republic of San Marsico will no longer use Weapons of Mass Destruction for invasion purposes, we’ll only use them in case of nuclear attack.” // Yannick Foze
The Rhaynan Ministry of foreign affairs let’s know the People’s Republic of San Marsico that “by signing the TPNW, as stated in the WF Resolution 9, signatory nations are prohibited the development, test, usage, stationing and instalment of nuclear weapons, regardless of intent,” and that, “the usage of nuclear weapons for invasions are, aside from concerning, not a valid reason for their use in the first place.”
After Akarina’s refusal to sign the TPNW, there have been credible calls for Ikaranara to join the WF. They have stated that Ikaranara’s being outside of the WF creates issues when it wants to act on international action. As Ikaranara isn’t a pariah state, but is often involved in affairs with them, it should seek a way to better cooperate with the global community in the wake of events like the War in Past, Rycco-Cordillian War and the recent controversies with Akarina. Garovo Alertz has stated that he would sign such a bill if it made it to his office. These proposals have gotten sharp criticism from the nationalist Grand Ikaranara Party, stating that it would entangle them in the affairs of non-indavral states. It is expected that a motion to vote on the matter will come in the following days.
