A small fishing boat has been washed up on the shores of Boclonta, in Argevan. After a short investigation, the boat was discovered to be the property of a certain Aurel Vulpes, a politican and fisher that went missing at sea over 11 years ago. Although the county police have considered the boat a dead end as the location of Aurel is still unknown (And thus presumed dead), independent investigators call for the expansion of the search.

today at 8:13 am local time, an Akarinan soldier stationed on the Corvus line was shot 22 times by other Akarinan troops for attempting to defect to Ravensland.
His identity remains unknown at this time.

The Efladian Ambassador and Speaker of the World Forum has, joined by the Foreign Minister, again urged his colleagues to take action on the recent redraft on the resolution on Akarina. “The incident on the Corvus line and the brutal retaliation shows us that an escalation isn’t unlikely. When the first bullets fall and the first people are dead, no one will ask ‘Who shot first?’ This is a real crisis for Frastinia and a position of action for the World Forum.”
RMA Group has announced that they are applying for two infrastructural plans in Nasphilitae. RMA Group has also announced that they will be entering the tender for railway expansion (with RMA Fernstrecke) and the tramway system (RMA Öffis) in Vrigny. A spokesperson commented that this global outreach of the RMA Group is a sign that the company is becoming a “big player”.

Prime Minister Carson has announced a General Election for 24 December 2024, all day. The Prime Minister stated that the country is in an utter state and himself and the Deputy Prime Minister believe that the only way to fix the country is to run a General Election and let a fresh new Government revamp everything. The Prime Minister announced, at the same time, that himself and the Deputy Prime Minister are stepping down at that election. Nominations are now open until and including 31 May 2024.

Keanu and Hurley begins emergency imports of beer for the World Cup after consumption exceeds domestic production and has already after just 2 match weeks depleted the 14 million litres stockpiled in advance. Imports of 1.4 million litres of beer a day are planned for import to feed the demand in the week up to match 3, before lowering to 1.0 million litres for the knock out stages. PM Moloka’i said of the situation, “We had a lot more visitors than we expected, even more than Izaakia had in 2021. But don’t worry, we’ve secured a supply from our Bailtemic neighbours, and nobodies hand will be left empty.”

Currently, the exclusion site has now been limited to 2 miles around the site of derailment. The SMTB has finished investigations on the site and will soon disclose the information to the public.

The Chancellor has signed early, on behalf of the Federal Republic of Besern, the international Treaty of the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, acceding to it. The Fedinschtag is expected to convene tomorrow to discuss its ratification, and “hopefully, to get it through.”
Nationwide disarmament of all nuclear weaponry will not begin until the Treaty has been ratified by both houses of the Federal Parliament. The ratification must be completed before June, per the Nuclear Armament (Referendum) Act 2024.
In the meantime, what is left of Besern’s nuclear arsenal still remains active, and can still strike anywhere in the South Pacific upon decision in the Besernian Armed Forces.

Sikal Viy Derailment - Thanks to international aid, and volunteers, the Sikal Viy Derailment has been quickly decontaminated. Currently only debris remains at the site, trains have been allowed through with a restricted speed, the evacuation warnings have been lifted, although citizens are still unsure about the area.

The Imperial State of Ryccia has recognized the Republic of Ito Island as “the governing entity in the lands it claims”, with many describing the statement as deliberately vague to create confusion as to whether Ryccia recognizes this republic as a sovereign state or not. The government has warned Akarina to “negotiate with this entity before thinking of enacting a brutal massacre. The Imperial State of Ryccia will act if necessary to secure the safety of the residents of Ito Island, as it is clear the Akarinan government has a history of savage brutality when dealing with what it considers are its enemies”.

After the declaration of independence of the Republic of Ito Island, many users in the Rhaynan-based social network Klik-nyma have joked about a “second nuclear strike” after the attack on Corvus, and used footage of past nuclear detonations as footage of “the bombing of Ito Island”.
The owner of Klik-nyma, Michail Melelis, has released multiple public post denying the existence of any nuclear strikes this week and warned users about misinformation in the site for the next few days.
