As temperatures raise over the 30° C, Rhaynan vacation resorts of the Lake Kryo region and Kaly Thea prepare themselves for the arrival of tourists, offering ferry cruises around major lake cities, beach resorts in the sand of the west coast, and historical visits through the labyrinthic streets of the heart of Kaly Thea.
However, some experts fear that the season won’t be as productive as it was a few years back, when the effects of global warming were less noticable. Residents of Rouketa complain about how complicated it is to keep cool nowadays, in a region that was known for its stable and temperate temperatures. Hotel owners worry about the increasing cost in AC, in the past unnecessary in their properties, as the money they get from tourists becomes less and less.

In what is perceived as an attempt by the Foreign Ministry to appease domestic outrage, Ryccia has announced it will prosecute any Kliegme officials involved in cases pertaining to the new “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy of Kliegme affecting Ryccian-Kliegme dual nationals and Ryccian citizens who have permanent residency status in Kliegme for “basic violations of human rights”. Unlike most criminal offenses in the Ryccian penal code, the violation of human rights of Ryccian citizens has an universal jurisdiction in Ryccian law, meaning anyone anywhere can be prosecuted regardless of nationality or location, and can be tried in absentia if they fail to show up to court. The Foreign Ministry has reminded Kliegme nationals affected by these cases that they can be accomodated by conducting judicial proceedings in Ryccian embassies instead at their request and that they are entitled to legal defense provided by the state.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regarding an ilegal attempt by Ryccia to prosecute Kliegmean officials holding not Ryccian, but Kliegmean nationalities, has formally condemned their ilogical response that meddles in domestic affairs of Kliegme.
The condemnation refuted a few points raised by Ryccia. Those with foreign nationalities, no matter the type of staying permit they have, are not allowed to join the public service in the first place.
The Kliegmean government has summoned the Ryccian Ambassador for the Ryccian government’s inadequacy in seeking a pragmatic response, and in privacy, informed the Ambassador that the former Junta which reigned over Ryccia also threatened to prosecute foreigners for breaking Ryccian law, for doing what is completely legal under said country’s law. It has then recieved the Ryccian explanation for the diplomatic issue.

In a brief press release the Sedunnic foreign minister Gjieramm said that there has been several failed attempts by Sedunn to mediate between the Frost Empire and the DPRR.
“Both sides have shown a genuine desire for a peaceful outcome, despite this, no settlement could be reached.”
Sedunn will continue to pursue diplomatic means to try and alleviate the tension between the two nations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also released a statement revealing that Kliegme had attempted to mediate between the two nations, but was unable to reach fruitful results. It has also made clear that it will adhere to its responsibilities as a member of CE, putting an end to the debate on whether Kliegme would support their new ally or their old acquaintance.

The Ryccian government has urged both sides to reach a peaceful conclusion in Reizen and has proposed to act as a mediator between the two parties. “The scars of Ikirejin remain fresh. In the name of human decency, we must prevent the meatgrinder of the Reizen conflict from restarting. It would be a crime committed by all Pacifica for us to collectively ignore this threat to regional peace”.

The Foreign Ministry has released a statement on the ‘Don’t ask, Don’t tell’ policy: “Different countries, different customs. It is no business of ours how countries regulate their military and/or public services, unless human rights are infringed. Eflad is an open country and we accept everyone who is physically and mentally fit for the armed forces. Kliegme has been a reliable partner on the international stage and we hope that these debates can be handled in a private and professional matter.”
The President of the Democratic Union has received both support and criticism for his latest post on stream in which he criticised the government for not intervening in the N&GB-Romordian Conflict.

A controversial law has passed in the Ikaranarean territory of Nölvra no longer requiring students to learn Austral and leaving it as an option; meaning the two required languages to be Indavral and Alman. FiHami begins preparations for a harsher than average dry season after flocks of fire falcons migrate closer to the shores much earlier than usual. This is due to a much more mild wet season. Several FiHami climate activists have raised alarm bells for the future if climate change isn’t taken seriously.
A village to the southeast was destroyed by a particularly large wildfire caused by fire falcons.

WPR official Alphonse Kirihito released a preliminary statement expressing major concerns regarding the frost build up along the DMZ and called the increased presence of “hot headed” officers disturbing.
