Extensive search for Oil in the Arctic Fed.
Last year, The minister of Mining and resources, Ulin Olgaf, told in a press release that there may be possible deposits of Oil and Natural Gas in the icy Forsesh Province of the Arctic Federative. However she implied that due to the remoteness of the areas where these deposits may be located (according to the BNC, they are ~217 km away from the nearest place of inhabitance).
but the new ministry and their new leader, Kailua Orsh, have other plans. according to exclusive documents given to us, project HC will start this month and will involve several tons of machinery and people that will be stationed about 10 km away from the supposed location of the Oil beds in a temporary center dubbed “RC-1.5”. the beds are expected to contain ~5,000,000 barrels of Oil and ~2,000,000 barrels of Natural Gas. the plans don’t state whether these resources will be exported or used domestically but they are huge findings nonetheless.

Transsunerian Deputy Defence Minister Jon Helmer has announced an increase in defence spending. Increasing from 0.8% of GDP to 1.5%, the new budget allows the formation of a second infantry brigade as well as acquiring new sensors, surveillance systems and equipment upgrades.

Prime Minister Taika of Keanu and Hurley set to fly from La Citadelle in Izaakia to Oured in the Frost Empire. It is believed he is flying economy on a commercial Mako Air flight. On his trip there, he is aiming to bolster Keanu and Hurleys security amid increases in central island piracy, and to secure funding for the recovery effort of Keanu and Hurley following Cyclone Himiko.

The Thalapadian government officially confirmed Van Mathis’es death. His body was burried in the royal cript underneath the Shataran royal palace together with his ancestors, the Mathis family. This move was highly criticized by the far right, with one MP of National rally saying: “He doesn’t even deserve to he thrown into q ditch, and you’re treating him like royalty”.
Congress president Valentinos Antonides in a speach said the act was “extending a olive branch to the rykapadians” and that “we should build peace and respect, and not war”.
The vote on monarchical and congressional provinces has ended, with the states of Vorinisi, Chrysa-north Padipeiru, Vounoplagia, Vivliapoli, Ochyro and Rykinisi chosing to be monarchical provinces. The deadline to pick a monarch and him being approved by the congress is set for july 15th.
The thalapadian congress has blocked multiple monarchical candidates from the state of Rykinisi because of their involvement in the Rykapadian revolt. Sources say that the Rykapadian congress is now looking into appointing a ryccian noble.

The Ministry of Industry and Energy agreed to move the new Windfarm near Falver ten miles west of the city, away from the local panorama. Experts question the appropriateness of the new location, citing efficiency issues and connectivity problems.

PM Taika of Keanu and Hurley comes to an agreement with the Frost Empire to lend-lease a second patrol ship, and to rebuild Hurley Airstrip in return for a 20 year lease of facilities and use of the airbase of military purposes. Hurley Airport will be used as a joint civilian/military facility, much as it has previously with the Keanuan Air Division.

3 prisoners from the Jakub City Federal High-Security Prison have gone missing after what is believed to be an escape attempt. Jakubian News Stations have been displaying photos of the fugitives who were arrested military espionage in 2018.
Julixic militants seized around 250 firearms from captured insurgent caches. Quality of the firearms vary as more photos are realized by the Julixic Regional Government.

The Detroxian government has launched a massive propaganda campaign, aimed at eradicating various extremist ideologies which developed in less developed rural regions, resulting in the Lightning War (the civil war). The National Council has passed a Rural Integration bill, aimed at improving the standard of living and development of rural areas, to eliminate any posdibilities of extreme ideologies gaining hold in these areas.

The USI Army agrees a contract with Ice Fox for 2100 units of their new FoxTail Heavy tank. A USI Army spokesperson said the acquisition of a large quantity of tanks marks a step change in defence strategy to focus on heavy attrition combat as well as traditional Izaakian agile combat.

Keanuan refugees in the USI begin to return to Keanu and Hurley as the barrier islands infrastructure is repaired. The Ohayo Institute of Marine Science and Engineering at the University of the Central Islands has estimated that full recovery will take 12-18 months.

The move comes as the issue proved to be a flashpoint of debate between candidates for the election for the Esfalsan Chancellor coming later this year. Prominently, incumbent Chancellor Levi Herdes of the New Democratic Party has argued for the importance of free expression and personal privacy, while Liberal Party candidate Evan Linwood has argued the Gikido Creed websites were just one example of dangerous and hateful speech that should not go unregulated.

As the Cosmos/ISA Tyr Mission rocket reaches halfway on its return journey attention is now focused on its landing at IAF Montacia Bay. The landing will be the heaviest rocket landing to date, and the first to land with cargo. Space Minister Astrid Delvinge described the upcoming landing as the most technical feat ever attempted in space travel.
