The Keanu and Hurley Islands Rugby Union League has been suspended to allow the fields on every island to be utilised as helicopter landing areas for emergency supplies. This is the first time the league has been suspended since the Great War.

Eflad has offered Keanu and Hurley Islands their support and aid. Several S&R units of the KatZivS (Katastrophen- und Zivilschutz, Catastrophe and civil protection) are being put into readiness if they are to be needed. Medical appliances and medical professionals would be provided as well.

Deputy Foreign Minister, James Friacii, offered Livanan support for the tragedy in Keanu and Hurley islands. The Deputy Health Minister and National Emergency Council in a joint statement this evening had prepared a group of Livanan doctors and medicines, as well as food aid and emergency electric generators to be sent to Keanu and Hurley tomorrow.

The Territorial Coast Guard of New Emral have begun sighting what appears to be a Liberty Class Littoral Combat Ship, possibly the ERNS Democracy, which went missing while patrolling the Operation Crosswalk test site. The vessel was deemed lost with all hands and sunk, although, no wreckage was ever found. How the vessel made it to New Emral is still another question, as any fuel would be long used up and a crew long dead without food. Further Reports will follow.

Economists suspect an impending economic decline in FiHami due to a wave of FiHami homeowners selling their homes and sending the money to the Keanu and Hurley Islands to help with disaster relief.
“Housing prices have started falling pretty dramatically as the wealthier FiHami citizens sell their houses for lower and lower prices. Some individuals are selling literally everything just to contribute. If this continues, we may see a wave of bankruptcies that affect every citizen.” Economist Hariet Kaloa told the FiHami Gazette. “I urge every person to not make rash decisions in the name of charity. Don’t uproot your entire life to help another.”

Surveying of the Attenborough Barrier Islands show almost complete destruction of infrastructure, with all basic utilities currently down. The death toll on the barrier islands alone is estimated to be in the hundreds.

President Storm promises to “Build Back Better!” in Montacia and Brodlancia after Cyclone Himiko causes wide spread damage through coastal and river flooding. She said the Cyclone which would once have been a 1 in a 100 year storm is becoming increasingly common due to climate change, and the best action we can take is to stop and reverse climate change.

The TCG has received word of the trials and members of the Terminan Fishing Alliance have secured the right to allow their lawyers to represent the fishermen after the detained fishermen demanded Terminan lawyers represent their case.
A TFA member said, “the eels were lawfully caught in Terminan waters, so the Kliegmans have no right to detain our boys when they’ve done nothing wrong under the flag, except drift too far into the kliegman side

Kliegmean Politicians have expressed concern over the TFA’s member’s claims. Not only he had used a rather derogatory term “Kliegman” to describe Kliegmeans, the Member also claimed Kligmean waters as theirs. The Kliegmean Ambassador to Termina inquired to the TCG if this is the official position of the TCG, and stated that the decades long history of cooperation between the two nations depended and depends upon mutual respect of each other’s boundaries.
Kliegmean Authorities have used a cross-checked confession from the detained fishermen that they have entered Kliegmean Waters to catch eels with knowledge that they were entering foreign waters to do so as evidence suggesting that the fishermen were aware of their actions

KL-26 Transport Helicopters of the Kliegmean Airforce, the biggest transport helicopters in the workd that are currently in service, were deployed to Keanu. After Action reports state that its 25 tonne Carrying Capacity were useful for the mission.

The Terminan ambassador reassured their Kliegmean counterpart that the official position of the TCG at this time is that the fishermen were innocent until proven guilty and that the Yatagarasu strait is fairly divided between the TCC and Kliegme. The TCG ambassador stated that it is common for Terminan parties to seek their own private lawyers for disputes and that the TCG only dispatches guild lawyers when the affected party is unable to hire their own attorneys.

After a visit to the Attenborough Barrier Islands King Keanu asks the prime-minister to order the evacuation of the islands. He said the state of the islands was dire, and that evacuation was the only safe way to proceed until rebuilding could begin. It is estimated 80-90% of the buildings on the islands have been completely destroyed. A similar situation is reported to be happening in the Cousteau Barrier Islands. King Keanu is currently sailing to assess the damage.

Following recent controversies over the role of Transgender people in female sporting categories, the Izaakian Sports Authority has announced that all sports must prohibit transgender people competing in women’s categories. The Izaakian Sports Authority has said that the controversial decision is required to provide a level playing field for women, and that transgender people who have undergone male puberty have an unfair competitive advantage due to developmental differences.
The male sporting categories of all sports will become “Open Categories” allowing all genders, raising the possibility of Women competing in men’s sports such as the Izaakian Football, Rugby and Hockey Leagues.

The Weissersteiner Imperial Government has stated that it is against the Valkyrian government’s proposals for legalization of drugs in Cordilia and has stated that Weisserstein would not move towards decriminalizing drug usage.
The government has stated that it would increase screening of Valkyrian products, and some within both the government and opposition calling for an outright ban to all Valkyrian products.
Alongside this, the Weissersteiner Border Guards have been placed on high alert on the Weissersteiner-Valkyrian border, in order to prevent any illegal drug-related activities.

The death toll in the low lying Cousteau Barrier islands (excl Jaques) from Cyclone Himiko is over 400, around 1/3 of the islands inhabitants. The latest figures bring the death toll across Keanu and Hurley to over 1000, which is roughly 1% of the population. The total damage caused by the cyclone is now estimated at $16 billion, over 3 times the pre storm GDP, 30% of all structures have been completely destroyed and over 90% damaged in some form.
Following a visit to the devastated low lying Cousteau Barrier Islands King Keanu has asked for Sedunnic assistance in evacuating the survivors to Jaques, one of the few settlements to not be badly affected. He called the storm “An unprecedented disaster in Keanuan history” later saying “it was the strongest recorded cyclone in history to hit the area, and I have no doubt caused by climate change”.

The National Voting Commission published guidance to vote in the snap election to be held this Thursday. Polling suggests a resounding victory for the Opposition Coalition which had adopted the name Forward Coalition, with traditionally left-leaning constituencies in South Liv and Cinis now support Liberal or Conservative candidates. The Green Party also polls better in Cinis, although they are losing support in their power base in South Liv. North Liv remains Conservative leaning as it has been for the past 30 years.

President Kanidis has stated to Weisserstein’s Government that: “A ban on all Valkyrian products would be in direct contradiction with the actual LoC’s free trade law. If needed, Cordilian members can agree on a change of law to allow exceptions, but first we would recommend the Weisserstein colleagues to suggest the change in the Legislative Council before taking any spontaneous decisions that could affect the alliance as a whole.”
