BREAKING— Chris Thorne, Krautallaz Director of Public Safety, has been held in contempt of court for failing to comply with a subpoena to appear and testify before a federal grand jury investigating the province’s alleged unlawful transfer of migrants.

According to court filings, Thorne repeatedly ignored summonses issued by the Vellienza Federal District Court, which is overseeing multiple cases related to the Krautallaz migrant relocation programs, a set of controversial operations accused of detaining asylum seekers and transporting them to the southern provinces of Krauana and Kevpríg. Thorne has been ordered to report to Kakala Federal Detention Center in Mitayyal by 12pm on Monday, pending further proceedings.

Legal analysts suggest the contempt ruling could signal escalating federal pressure on provincial officials accused of defying immigration and humanitarian oversight laws, and an earlier court ruling halting deportations from the province. The Krautallaz provincial government has not yet issued a statement in response.
