Izaakian Foreign Minister Noor Aqaba has made a statement on the ongoing Ludville conflict. In her statement she accused the CE forces of exceptional brutality including the use of Napalm, and described the CE as wholly irresponsible for placing the Neo-Frankist General McCalmot in command. She described the the whole affair as an absolutely preventable disaster in the making, where all parties are likely to commit what’s can only be described as serious war crimes, and that these actions are outside the WF mandate for peacekeeping forces.

The Imperial Frost Military defended its use of incendiary weapons against Ludvillan forces stating that the use of incendiary weapons against legitimate military targets such as bunkers, trenches and other enemy fortifications to support ongoing ground assaults are allowed under international law. The Empire also stressed that its air assets are used in close air support roles to assist local ground forces and have stated that no orders have been giving for a general bombing campaign.

Representatives of the National Rally, Rykapadian union, Monarchist party and STRATA, as well as the governors of multiple provinces have gathered in Vivliapoli for a meeting. The purpose of it is not publicly known, but is assumed to be highly important because of the participants. The government has confirmed that it is not aware of the purpose of the meeting

President Columbo Septimum announced today that he will take a leave of absence for six months, making Vice-President Jacobo Holtium acting president.
Formoso Gochium, leader of the Conservative Coalition questioned the health of the ever aging President. “When the Socialist Union nominated Columbo Septimum for a third mandate, we questioned that choice of nominating someone who was already our oldest President ever, and now he has to take a leave of six months, the longest we ever saw in our modern history? This sounds really suspicious to me, we ask the President to release his medical record. Then we can convene in Congress and consider keeping him in office.”

The Imperial Frost military has agreed to limit the use of incendiary ordinance in the operation against Ludville after extensive talks with CE Allies. When asked about the sudden restraint the Empire declined to comment, but there is speculation that it’s decision was heavily influenced by the increasing complexity of the situation on the ground and in the political arena of the region.

Gianlucian broadcaster BUS TV has announced, that for this year’s Pacivision Song Contest a show called “12 Punkte für Gianatla” (12 points for Gianatla) shall be held. Its goal is to determine Gianatla’s entry this year, since according to BUS TV there were already more than 130 applications sent to their HQ from potential entrants. Further information will be revealed once it is known, which city will hold this year’s contest.

Minister-President Pierre Francoeur is expected to make its first trip to Anserisa next week.
This will be the first official travel for any Mauquibian official since the July 31st events of 2021, where former Minister-President Raymond Doumergue escaped his arrest by fleeing to the small nation.

A representative of the movement announced a press conference at 22:10. The movement has been meeting inside a conference hall since 09:00 this morning. After a message leak this morning many suspect that the movement will formalise in a political party, which could threaten the Technocrats, whose ratings have been plummeting recently.

The crisis meeting of the cabinet is still ongoing. Due to it being in a private part of the party house - which has several sleeping rooms exactly for these reasosn -, no one knows whether the discussions are over or not.
A well respected senior member of the party said earlier today: “If the head of the party is smart they will know that the only future this party has is a united one. A formation of a new party would not only be a death sentence for us but socialist ideas in Eflad as well.”
Several food delivery people have been seen entering and exiting the house. The only comment they had was: “Sorry, sorry, I have to go, the next customers are waiting. Thank you.”

After 13 hours of debate behind closed doors, a designated representative of the movement came out of the door and stood on an improvised small podest of beer crates.

The quorum has decided by a vote of majority to influence the highest of politics in our country for the better, by finding a new party. A party which will represent the traditional, down to earth values; a party which has “Freedom and Security through Responsibility” as its goal. To create an Eflad not for the rich and ideological, but for the common man. The Democratic Union.
In the following days, a founding meeting will be announced, where the party will be formally established.

The Capital Suspension Bridge, 1 of 5 bridges that connects New Mako to Izaakston has been closed following a helicopter crash into the bridge. Several casualties have been reported, however emergency services are still actively responding to the scene.
