The Second Uprising of Nayyatal, which occurred from April 7 to April 20, 1913, saw the Heritio Korosha (HK) government forces launch a brutal campaign against Krautali settlements on the eastern side of Nayyatal Island. The offensive resulted in the deaths of approximately 22,500 Krautali civilians and the forced relocation of survivors to Kevluarital on Kevprital Island.

On this day in 873 CE, Grand Duke Imrath III of Zuhlgaria was assassinated during a high-stakes diplomatic summit in the border town of Katang. A statesman known for his deft navigation of regional tensions and unwavering commitment to peace, Imrath had arrived in Katang to de-escalate rising hostilities following the brutal Katang Incident earlier that year.
Instead, he was cut down in full view of both Zuhlgani and Krauanagazan officials by assassins disguised as envoys— men later identified as members of the Obsidian Order, an extremist Krauanagazan faction bent on igniting war.
Wearing crimson armbands, the killers stabbed the Grand Duke in broad daylight, collapsing any remaining hope for peace between the two great powers of the peninsula. Imrath’s assassination proved not only a personal tragedy but a geopolitical disaster.
