On this day in 1944, ISB forces stormed the Temple of Kalutir in the Zazzani Highlands, killing over 620 Krautali and Lupritali villagers who had sought refuge inside. The assault, part of a wider ethnic cleansing campaign, marked one of the deadliest single attacks on Tiribtallan cultural heritage. Witnesses described the temple being set ablaze with incendiary rounds, its sacred halls collapsing amid smoke and screams. ISB forces opened fire on individuals who managed to escape the inferno, leaving no survivors.
Today, the ruins of the Kalutir Temple remain a protected memorial and national heritage site in the highlands.
