First Approval Polls Since Finalizing Of Candidates Conducted: Pelidi Leads By Razor-Thin Margin
Posted 2026/07/16, By Teiyi Waitelupoilu

The first approval polls since the presidential candidates were finalized were conducted and their results were released to the public. Pacicaya Today, Altineivio Broadcast Services and Nealta News Channel, all trusted sources, released survey results today. All three showed PM Pelidi leading by a very small margin compared to Governor Kaleidi, with less than 1.1%p difference. This is a sign of hope for AKI to retake the highest elected position of the nation after 13 years. Meanwhile, IHI candidate Caduruiti received 0.3% or less, and was placed at last place. Centrist candidate Thohaile was found to be supported by about 1.5% of the people. While 1.5% is not a big portion, it could decide the final winner of the election.

While the approval ratings targeted at people nationwide showed a razor-thin margin between the top two candidates, polls in each of the provinces showed different results. For instance, in Nodeiso Province where candidate Kaleidi is the current governor, Kaleidi led Pelidi by 27.9%p, scoring 62.7%. Meanwhile in Fipotalla Province, Pelidi clearly is in the lead, with 73.3% approval — an overwhelming 48.9%p more compared to Kaleidi’s 24.4%.
