Office of the Cabinet

PM's Fireside Chat #3 - 11/16/2025

My fellow South Pacificans,

The second week comes to a close and the execitive is steadily marching along! I’m excited to share with you everything that we’ve done this week.

Firstly, we hosted our first Competetive Hell Detag tournament (a homegrown sport) with the Galactic Armada of Starlight in celebration of opening an embassy! Everyone had quite a good time. In the end @flowerpetal took home second place, I took home 3rd place and @Ishmailand took home 8th place. We are currently in conversations with other militaries to join, and I hope to be able to announce the next contender region soon! There will also be a formal and fun report.

The RMB Mayoral race has concluded, and @Griffindor has been declared the winner! We will be working with them on polls for the next few weeks, so get ready to see a familiar face on the region’s front page! Thank you to everyone who ran; the next declarations period will take place after the conclusion of a mid-term SwanVision.

Regular culture events and products are moving forward! We had a successful game night on Friday (this time playing Gartic Phone). The first publication of a renewed South Seas Gazette will be published tomorrow night! We are still definitely looking for writers, though, so if you are at all interested in helping out with a regional newspaper, fill out the Temporary Executive Application Hub.

In FA news: We have announced an initial round of ambassador appointments! In order to fill key allies quickly, a number of the Foreign Affairs Council have stepped up. We are still looking for people to join, especially newer people! If you are a citizen interested in becoming an ambassador, fill out the Temporary Executive Application Hub.

The recruitment team was appointed today under Trivalve! They have started training and activity welcoming new players in the RMB and connecting people to TSP resources. Trivalve continues to work on templates and refining workflows.

Signups for the next round of the South Pacific Hockey League have opened! More than just cosmetics, registrants can now pick size and stat builds, which can have an impact on the game! The deadline to sign up is the 21st. If you would like to sign up for the SPHL, please submit this form: South Pacific Hockey League Sign-Ups.

Finally, a proposed set of rank policies were introduced to the SPSF Wardroom that would set activity guidelines for officers and standardize retirement procedures. SPSF Officers are invited to comment ahead of an Admiralty vote, and hopefully an announcement soon.

Now, for the next week in the now-typical style:

  1. A few more announcements regarding the Ambassador Corps are coming down the pipe. There may be a couple more members, and standardized material for them will be published.

  2. We will hopefully be announcing the next regional partner for the Competetive Hell Detag events.

  3. A public plan for the getting involved wizard will be published for comment in the next week.

  4. We will have another regular game night on Friday, and a poll for it will come out a day or two before!

  5. The Wiki Group will start in with a set of high-priority pages to update.

There may be more things, but I am committed to having this written in the next tw- one minute!

I welcome questions that any member of the community has. It is my great pleasure to keep the region informed. I remain,

Faithfully yours,
Heliseum
Prime Minister

As a heads-up, I’ll be on vacation with limited/infrequent internet access in the upcoming week. I may be slow to respond but please feel free to reach out pertaining to my role on the Cabinet.

HumanSanity’s Caretaker Prime Ministry

I want to thank the Council on Regional Security for appointing me as caretaker Prime Minister following Heliseum’s resignation. I think I speak for everyone when I wish Heli the best in handling their real life matters and say that I’m excited to see them back when time and life allow it.

I do not have exceedingly lofty goals for the next eight days – that would be foolish. My main goal is to ensure nothing falls apart, help the Ministers stay on track to accomplish any short-term goals and put long-term work in a spot where it can be passed off to the next Cabinet.

In terms of specific areas, this means:

  • Cabinet-wide: further implement the Get Involved Wizard by working with admin to remove the extra test wizard from the site, ensure the correct link is used in all our promotional materials, and developing a rough procedure for new staff intake at each Ministry.
  • Culture: Our co-Ministers will have my support in continuing to execute the Culture Calendar they had already set during this time.
  • Defense: I am maintaining Heli’s existing Cabinet Order 80 appointing Utopia (as Minister of Defense) as the Prime Minister’s representative to the Admiralty. I will keep myself largely removed from this work to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest under policy that governs my role as site staff. I trust Utopia to keep things moving forward here and will only step in if there is a report of impropriety/neglect.
  • Foreign Affairs: I am up to speed on existing projects/conversations from Minister Welly and I know that he has already released some information to the Assembly regarding this. We’ll keep the Assembly updated as relevant, and I hope to avoid the Gameplay Forum for the duration of my 8 day term.
  • Integration: shots’s team will continue to work on establishing/growing recruiting in the region and setting up better resources/activity around welcoming new members on the RMB.

I have not yet had the chance to touch base with Director of Technology pronoun, but will support them in the execution of any parts of their agenda that are feasible in the next week.

Please let me know if there are any questions during the week and I will be happy to assist.

Faithfully yours,
HumanSanity

Closing Thoughts: HumanSanity’s May 2026 Caretaker Government

Voting in the election for Prime Minister will close in a few hours and once the Election Commissioner certifies the result, my watch will end. I have enjoyed my brief reprisal as Prime Minister, frankly much more than I initially expected. My thanks to the region and especially to the Cabinet for continuing their work diligently and professionally under unusual circumstances.

In this brief period, I endeavored for us to continue progress on our existing projects and set in place strong frameworks for the next Prime Minister to run with on certain processes that were undefined prior to that point. To this end, we accomplished the following:

  • An internal Cabinet procedure for the processing of Ministry staff applications was documented and started to be implemented. This included that most Ministries wrote a stock “welcome to the Ministry” message for new staff members to get oriented.
    • We did not finalize the removal of the old Get Involved links and converting them to the new ones—hopefully the next Prime Minister is able to accomplish this.
  • The Ministry of Integration posted guides for new recruiters and has had a strong month of recruiting. Behind the scenes, work has begun on an RMB welcoming bot.
  • Ministry of Culture has continued its work as expected. Culture is collaborating with Integration on the release of some new Awards in June and is working on the next TSSG release.
  • The Director of Technology started an internal Cabinet discussion about next projects and prioritization of them—hopefully this will set good groundwork for next steps.
  • I have personally set the model I want to see from the Prime Minister in terms of involvement on the RMB, striving to post at least daily if not a few times a day to ensure I am visible and helping with day to day welcoming and keeping the RMB an inviting and fun place.
  • We successfully avoided any foreign affairs meltdowns.

I realize that the chaos of a contentious recall, followed by a Delegate resignation and special election, followed by a Prime Minister election, followed by a PM resignation and special election creates the perception of chaos and disorganization in the region. There is certainly some truth to that.

However, I also think this tumultuous period has left us stronger than we were before. Each time we have faced a challenge, our regional institutions were capable of rising to meet it, and we have emerged stronger on the other side of it. All throughout these changes, we’ve had new contributors stepping up, resilient processes and institutions being defined and utilized, our RMB is a lot more pleasant of a place to spend some time, and in general a lot of our people are excited about TSP and what they can do to make it a better place. That energy and dedication, and broader region-wide progress we’ve made, is the most important thing and has far greater potential than any individual government official or institution.

Faithfully yours,
HumanSanity
